it does seem odd that they design the movement in there rather than a solid hold, maybe it is to accommodate for Hope lines and the like?

As stu says there should be a little rubber pad, this can be substituted for a felt pad used for furniture which can be trimmed, which is what I just did on my 34’s

I agree there really is no need for one.

Washing up is a faff but not as much as a Dishwasher.

First you have to navigate the modes

Buy salt and keep it topped up

    Buy tabs

    Load it

    wait about an hour

Unload it (possibly soaking you or the floor due to a cup being up the wrong way)

Washing up, bit of liquid, 10-15 mins of activity and its done and away.

    I miss, scrap yard visits.

So much fun finding rare bits and they were always dirt cheap for parts.

Do as others said and don’t spend the whole time on the tube, Central London is pretty easy to navigate and worth seeing.

I coat my pads and discs in Isopropyl and then use a lighter to burn anything off.

I have recently burned my fingers using a lighter so I have just ordered a camping gas blow torch to use instead, must make sure I am not near any seals when doing this, their fur goes up like a christmas tree!

When did you buy your home and how did you find it?

    2013 – Rightmove

Did you view a similar property and the agent put you on to it?

No we searched and asked to see it

Did the agent have you on their books and call you about a new one?

    No they were useless

    Walk past the shop?

Walked past several shops looking, asked in a couple, Rightmove always came up trumps.

    Walk past the house?

Once we’d spotted it we pretty much staked the place out, largely due to being opposite a park and near social housing, keen not to end up in a moped wonderland.

    RightMove?

    always

I have Maxxis IKON’s on my DJ bike, they are fine in indoor parks and they grip on dryish trails.

I have no idea, Maxxis site is very hard to decipher info from.

I have EXO Minions and Highroller 2’s and they are both pretty much puncture free.

I’m like most I edit on my phone, if its going to Insta it doesn’t matter too much about the quality.

Learned not to use the Moviemaker filters on a recent one as when insta degrades the quality it ruins the vid.

I use muc-off/rhino-goo/proper-cleaner and a jet wash and that gets my tyres like or better than new.

Then a dusting of Muc-off Bike spray and wipe it down.

I would budget to buy a second hand bike and then service the forks.

No one ever services DJ forks.

In terms of sizing for the frames, if you can chose a long if you normally ride one, if you can’t then you can adjust the feel of the bike quite dramatically with the stack height and bar height.

Get plastic pedals to start with as it will be easier on the legs.

Having enough cable slack to barspin may feel pretentious but it will save you tearing a line when you inevitably throw the bike.

I had an absolut MAXMAX and I found it a bit hard work to keep the rear wheel lined up.

Chain tugs are pretty much essential

I go with some chinoesque trousers from H&M, they last about 9 months before the crotch goes.

Full length mudguards take the edge off.

I removed a connectamajig from a post as it would mean the post had to sit proud of the collar or kink the cable, no detrimental effects, no bleeding, just removed the connectamajig and put the hose straight in.

    Same fittings, not complicated.

I know the type you mean, I was hoping for something compact like this,

I have been trying to work out how to make one.

I usually head up to Corby to Adrenaline alley, they have 2 foam pits and 3 Resi ramp areas too.

It’s worth noting that the likelihood of rear mech damage is high when jumping into a foam pit but single speed is fine.

If you are essex based look up Radical Bikes, they have an outdoor resi and Foam pit and will be re-opening in march. they close each year to dig.

    Novatec 10mm axles fit.

I got mine from this guy on ebay, he didn’t have a 10mm listed so I contacted him directly and he sorted me out.

Defo need to start moving a bit on the bike, it distracts you, especially when upping the difficulty of the jump

if its going against a wall.

fix batten to the wall on the sides that touch, I am lucky I have 3 walls touching my work top

Add front batten under the edge and then install 2-3 legs depending on the length.

    pre legs

Post legs with cabinets, cabinets are non supporting

Ideally go see a physio, Osteopath or Chiropractor, expect to spend £50 for the first session.

Voltarol is great for pain relief, also a cold spray or Biofreeze gel.

Check the packet for voltarol as it can upset the stomach and it doesn’t play well with some other forms of pain relief.

Cold pack on and off every ten mins for an hour will help.

you could cut it out if you don’t need to retain the braided hose.

Defo go for it, a good few sessions on a pump track will get you used to the handling and getting it off the floor with minimal consequences.

I would also highly recommend getting to a decent skate park to get some practice in, Foam pits and Resi Ramps really get you used to the height and angles without the issues of coming up short or over shooting.

It’s worth taking your time to fit the bike to you as a poorly fitting DJ bike just feels sketchy.

I now have a Dartmoor Shine having also had a Commencal MAXMAX and an Identiti P66.

The Identiti wasn’t bad but at 6’2″ it felt a bit too short too me.

A few videos of mine on here which show lots of progression from riding the DJ bike more. https://www.instagram.com/andy_on_a_bike/

Spend the money on better lights and visibility.

Rather than spending your time checking its on, charged, the card isn’t full etc.

Spend that time concentrating purely on not getting run over.

Yes motorists could do a better job of looking but we all get caught out.

    No saints here
