I have one like this from Clas Ohlson, does the job no worries: https://www.clasohlson.com/uk/2-Hose-Shoe-Dryer/18-4758?gclid=CjwKCAjw8uLcBRACEiwAaL6MSZtzuO3yB9R4CImzjwvyloIaXMBTJy601e-PPfrB59kJXqGis-GtcxoCcV0QAvD_BwE

This has got to be mega easy, enter a race, cruise round, gradually apply a bit more effort throughout the course and eventually post a decent time.

Improvement shown and loads of opportunities to “practice” throughout the year, winner.

I wish I’d have known you could do that at GCSE!

I drew pictures of MTB’s for my Graphic Communication course at A Level, that was an interesting time for bike shapes back in the mid 90’s.

Here is a video of the waterproof case mounted to a WG2 Gimbal

I did it on my Edit as previous bikes have suffered badly on the top tube from shorts rub, I almost exclusively wear TLD moto shorts so they really go to town on the paint.

I had the luxury of doing it when the frame was fresh out of the box.

I’m a bit sad now though as I want to change the decal colour and its under the invistape, I might get some replacement panels.

Iainc, There is no danger to the wheel, I made one and it is really easy to balance on it, pretty pointless compared to actually trying to manual.

I know you won’t believe me and order one any way, so enjoy your new bike stand.

You might get a bit more of the clicking sounds in the large case.

If you get the WG2 then it is more likely to work as it has adjust ability in the mount.

The main issue with the waterproof casing is that it will unbalance the gimbal, with the WG2 it will be fine.

I’m 6’2″ and I rode a Kansi 3 twenty it was comfortable, no whacking knees on the bars and the seat post actually went up high enough without going past the min sign.

I would thoroughly recommend Stickers Decals Graphics: https://stickersdecalsgraphics.co.uk/

They are doing stickers for world cup bikes.

They have produced various stickers for me when requested, often from scratch

eg. the graphics for my Dartmoor shine all custom sizes etc as Dartmoor could only supply a PDF of their main logo. They are all in glitter vinyl, looks wicked in the sun

Fruitbat, i’ve got half a nasty looking at that!

Your wall mounts are genius with the tyre holders on a rail!

I need to up my tyre holder game as I just have some little tabs but my bikes wander on them a bit and it looks untidy.

One of the main reasons for me not racing is Insurance, If I injure myself in a race event i’m not covered unless I take out a separate policy.

The likelihood of an injury during a race is higher as I would be less relaxed and arguably the course would be more difficult than the usual bike park stuff.

I used to ride a lot more DH 8 years ago but now it is difficult to find the time to travel to the various venues to practice, my local is pure flow and jumps.

If DH courses also included flow/jump tracks more often then I daresay I would be more inclined to enter as I know its within my comfort zone and capabilities.

Plus I don’t have a DH rig in the stable just a 160mm FS.

    Interesting vid.

The wet pads thing is a good tip, not keen on the letting the oil flood out, surely that would work as well with a hose directed in to a bottle?

I would recommend 27.5 wheels with 47c tyres and a set of muguards, that should cover it.

My Whyte Glencoe is a great commuter bike

My consultant was dead against any surgery, he said once the swelling goes down and the range of movement returns there is no need aside from asthetics, which he said would be a Scar or a Lump.

I chose lump, it still looks and feels a bit weird but I have full range of movement.

I went OTB when i clipped my front wheel on the back side of a dirt jump, a 10ft fall straight to my shoulder.

    It’s worth it.

    Its more FOD than Chicksands.

    Don’t go in the wet

There are zero facilities so bear that in mind.

Don’t skid on Surface to Air!

The government are currently reviewing house leaseholds at the moment to determine fair charges etc.

Could work in the favour of many.

Either way this price is a no brainer, just confirm they are the title holder, you can do a land registry check for a couple of pounds.

I did mine in the first week of June, Grade 3/4.

I felt ready to ride towards the end of July.

Keep it in a sling as much as poss even if its not tight, you need the support while its knitting.

ICE pack twice a day for about 15mins at a time.

Don’t go to a Foo fighters concert about 4 weeks in and start lifting your Mrs up while dancing.

I could just about do a push up after the middle of August, I can now do about ten push ups but it aches after.

I find pump tracks and tight busy single track is the worst, sending big ole jumps is fine though.

If you can get it K-taped up that helped loads with isolating it and its do able indoors once you have been shown by the pro, assuming you have an assistant obvs.

At least you did it towards the end of the season, I have barely ridden this summer as I had to have my appendix out at the end of July!

My wife and I stayed at Rectory Farm, its outside the centre near the park and Ride off j13 of the M11.

Despite its position it is not noisy.

There is loads to do in Cambridge, I really like the place.

If you get bored in the city then you can also travel a short distance to St Neots or St Ives which are both nice villages.

Get a boot dryer it makes no sense not to, they are cheap and dry your boots/shoes out in no time.

when you install the headset again or its replacement ensure there is grease on every single surface of the bearing and the cup it goes in to.

If you replace the cups grease them and the frame before fitting.

Then after the winter disassemble and re grease everything again, stops all manner of clicks and squeaks.

Do you want a motorbike for any other reason than to commute?

If no why not consider an e-bike? would help with your condition and get you to work.

Could the window be a lockable tilt and turn so that it only vents by the top edge, and can then be unlocked to provide a full escape hole.

You’d struggle to get the bikes triple stacked unless you have good ceiling height, obviously it would be tricky to remove the upper bikes too if they are triple stacked, do able though.

    Probably easier with kids bikes

I agree, ban them they are not beneficial.

I never had coffee or redbull when I did my exams or school work.

    I did eat a lot of 54321 bars though…

The chinese ones are a no brainer.

Buy from amazon if you want some come back.

For the money they are a one season job without feeling to hurt in the wallet.

They aren’t that expensive considering the detail in them tbh.

Find a chippie to knock one up if you dislike the price.

I’m a big fan of double stacking using pedal brackets, if you have a fair bit of wall it leaves the most floor space available, MTB’s at the top and roady bikes at the bottom, due to handlebars.

I use separate elbow pads with my armour as I find it reduces the sweatyness having a break in the cloth

I probably use shoulder pads to deflect hits more often than not.

I don’t really seek out rocky places to ride anymore tbh i’m more about doing jumps on nice flowy trails.

I would say send it to someone who can carry out any other work that may be required.

Air shocks hide a lot of wear inside.

I’d recommend heading to Debenhams, I have had quite a few from them, some occasional and 2-3 work suits.

Buy from their staple range in a dark blue, that way in the future when the trousers are worn out but the waistcoat and jacket are fine you can keep it going.

Never pay more than about £150 – £200

make sure you don’t ignore the maintenance I broke my ankle setting off on my foldy bike as the chain slipped off, I wasn’t covering the brakes and having no top bar I just fell and my ankle snapped.

That bike went in the bin and I got a 3 speed version which was good as gold.
