+1 for a blender see below links for photo & vids:

    Photo (my blender): http://www.pinkbike.com/photo/6719126/

    Videos:

Me on the blender (I’m in the purple): http://www.pinkbike.com/video/223512/

Not me, not a blender but a local track I ride with similar style bikes: http://www.pinkbike.com/video/144123/

Not me, not a blender, its a stanton slackline which looks awsome, only real difference is comes in a bigger size, ment to pedal up a bit easier and takes a 160mm fork, but the style of bike and the way the guy rides is how I like it, xc blast, hit the trails, dh tracks and 4x, versatile fun, good price…..this is special…..enjoy: http://www.pinkbike.com/video/144123/

Will1991 is spot on. I would like slightly lighter forks, 2009 426 air uturn revs look good at 750g lighter.

Not got a huge amount to compare it to, but I love mine, I’m all about aggressive ridding, love to be out of the seat hitting the downs. I’m 5’9 and have a Thomson 330mm post and its plenty long enough, my local blast loop is 16 – 18 miles, bit of canel, tiny amount of road and plenty of fun singletrack with Kinver freeride park in the middle to play on, the bikes perfectly suited.

I find climbing hard but I think that’s more me, my lack of fitness & technique, I used to have a giant XTC (xc bike) I was no better climbing on that, longest ride I’ve done was 35 miles, after the 20 mile mark it starts to feel a little cramped on the longer climbs but boy it rewards you going down.

The only other bike I’m tempted by (considering my style and budget) is the slackline, wondering how much different it would feel on those climbs but there is no way I’d want to loosed the descending, chuckability or agility qualities.

Charge blender, I saw a frame in good nick go for £80 on eBay last week, they’re real strong & great ride wouldn’t say its ‘the’ ultimate 4x race machine. Snap, Krisis, yeti, DJ and the new jackal are lighter & probably more suited to flat out racing but the blender is exceptional value, as my only bike I use mine as a do it all, trail, xc, dh, 4x & dj….I love it. See the link below for photos of it, there is a lil vid of me jumping on it to:

I’m quite local, ridden ribbs but not trails in the sure forest, are the trails marked or do you need local knowledge? Also where’s the best place to park?

    cheers

I’d love a dropper on my blender but 4″ just not enough, not sure how much is needed, hope 27.2 gets a bit more attention in future.

Quick question to those who have shortened hoses without bleeding do the feel as good as original or do the need a bleed?

I was going to just chop before fitting but was told a bleed at the same time would be advisable, don’t want to faff unless I need to.

I’ve got SLX, replacing with XT’s that arrived Friday, will report, expexting to be the same just more bling, slightly lighter, supposedly stronger due to manufacturing process, also the pin that keeps the pads in uses an allen bolt instead of what appears to be a hair clip!?

Possibly a good point given I ride single speed up front. The reason I’m looking at 11-32 is based on an offer I saw, weren’t sure how much of a difference the 2 teeth made.

Excellent in my experience, had a bike from there 3 years ago, a balance bike for my daughter just before Christmas (was best price on the web) and also got her helmet on a separate order. All delivered very quickly even a week before Christmas.

+1 good value, no issues at all been running for 12 months for trails, 4x, mini DH (forest of Dean, Cannock, ribbesford) and BMX tracks, not dropped the chain once.

Saying that neither did my Blackspire NSX just fancied a change, see my forum activity for sale, I’ll beat the price of the SS one!

I’ve got a steel ht….I can’t see the geometry of steel hardtails ever changing to a point where I need to change it, if I keep the parts well serviced and raw it/paint it I’m guessing it’ll still be serving me in 10 years time. I’m going to change it when I get to old for razzin it down dh trails with drops and jumps, then i’ll get a trail focused FS.

Sunline V1 here, very similar sweep, rise & width, given the chance I’d swap to fatbar just cause they look nice, colour matches the sanctions on RS & Fox forks, duo stem looks real good too.

Was ok on a local xc loop via freeride park, smashed my back wheel hooking a big gap. Was 8 miles from home, started walking but ended up calling for rescue, link to a pick of the wheel……
