    +1 for Pure Bar.

Not far away the Old Joint Stock or the Wellington (they actually back on to each other) are both decent. However worth noting that Cardiff are playing Villa tomorrow and there is usually trouble, but these places tend to keep that lot out.

As this thread seems to be a STW ‘toddler top trumps’ I’ll chip in with the winning card and claim my lad who is nearly 2 has already done all the black runs at every welsh trail centres and is getting his first proper DH bike for his birthday, and we are off to the Alps next summer.

    Ditto gobuchul comments.

I learnt to dive in UK through a UK winter and all the cold weather gear/drysuit etc. A lot to learn and unpleasant at times but if you can do that diving in a wetsuit/BC in warmer waters is a piece of piss in comparison.
I learnt through BSAC and although more lengthy training compared to PADI, was worth it and cost MUCH LOWER – PADI you pay for a course at every level of development.

Was this the ‘demo day’ where there were no 29ers available for tall people?

XL 29er HT here in a Fiesta with just front wheel off, back seats folded though.

*Awaiting usual STW smart arse that appears on these threads that will claim to of fitted in 4 x DH bikes, 2 weeks worth of luggage and 4 6ft+ 15 stone blokes in a Fiat Cinquecento that went to Morzine and back*

Check with local trading standards office ic ghe trader is known to them – has any previous problems.

Highly unlikely this information will be passed on to a member of the public.

don’t pay on CC unless you’re prepared to pay more – dealers don’t like it as it costs them.

I would advise the opposite – DO pay with credit card – but just the deposit so the dealer doesn’t lose out on fee’s, etc. As long as the deposit is over £100 it covers you for the whole transaction – the credit card company are then liable for any faults with the purchase, as per your rights under S75 of the Consumer Credit Act.

    http://www.which.co.uk/consumer-rights/regulation/section-75-of-the-consumer-credit-act

If you have a credit card you would be mad not to do this, it doesn’t cost you anything (and very little to the dealer) and another way of resolving any disputes that may arise down the line.

Since my son arrived 20 months ago ridden mtb maybe 6 times. Just takes up so much time and with other hobbies can’t fit it in. I enjoy spending time with him so much I’d rather do that than ride truth be told at the moment. Just got a road bike to do rides from front door which is more time efficient.

Just got a 16GB /2GB ram version after asking on here few weeks ago. Really impressed, very quick and great battery life.
Less than 150 quid sim free on Amazon as well. IPhone 6, which is ultimately better, but not at 4 times the cost IMO, having used both now.

Loads of quiet back lanes and canal towpaths surround the area in nice countryside which maybe a better bet when everything’s bogged out

Thanks all for suggestions. Reckon a box of some description keeping frame upright to prevent an issues with the brakes should do the trick.

I’d like it somehow contained in something to keep dirt/oil at bay, cupboard is in the lounge so want to minimise mess each time I remove and put away the bike
