I dont own one, but have driven most of the modern vans through work, and the Vito is one of the worse IMO. Not very nice to drive, loads of body roll and that stupid foot handbrake thing. VW Transporter miles better IMO.

Running 32/11-34 on a recent 29er build. Cant say i have needed a lower / higher gear as of yet, and that’s riding Alpine terrain.

6ft 2" with long legs, riding a 20" 456 with fair bit of seat post and a 90mm stem. However, ive just built a 29er which im really enjoying, so its days may be numbered…. 😉

collie – yes my first 29er bike, but i had a couple of brief rides on 29ers before. Bit of a gamble building one up without a proper test ride, but everything suggested they should suit me (riding style and height) and so far im really liking it.

Been to Trail Alpine number of times, and they cater for all abilities. Chalet and food is superb as well.

It looks a lot worse than it is. Saddle down a bit (if you want), lean back and no sharp braking – cant go wrong…. 😉

How tall are you? Also, how do you find the Tora's?

Ive got a 456 with 120mm Recons. All good – rides well both climbing and on the downs. Feels more much more confident feeling on the downhills/technical stuff, but a bit more luggish on the flat sections compared to my old standard inbred which i ran for years with rigids or 80/100mm forks.

You cant buy heating oil from a truck/tanker in less than 500 (or occassionally 300) litre quantities. Maybe try your local heating oil distributor firm and see if the sell it in small drums?

As already stated, the Spanish fans (albeit a minority i would hope to think) in recent years have given a fair bit a racist abuse out in the examples of Hamilton at the Spanish GP and the England 'friendly' in Madrid. That's real racism they dished out – not assumed racism….. 😯

TJ – funnily enough people on here are likely to get behind Hamilton as opposed Alonso as he is British (or English… :wink:) so there will always be bias for Hamilton. Coupled with the fact Alonso behaved like a child over the leaving Mclaren episode, and this season is heard bleating about Hamilton over his radio whilst the race is going on – just sums up an immature and pathetic attitude.
