I suffered with lower back pain on and off for about 20 years which I now understand was combination of a relatively weak core and tight hamstrings
I took up yoga last year and within a few weeks the back pain had gone and hasn’t been back since. My bike riding has seen a massive improvement too.
I’m lucky to have a yoga studio 5 minutes walk away and there’s the added bonus of usually being the only man in a room full of lovely women…..numbnutFree MemberI am being told that this is not supporting the best interests of our children
the old emotional blackmail trick. It probably doesn’t occur to her she should see her children on a weekend which is arguably the best quality time.
Do you have any record of any agreements or a Child arrangement order in place? I’m in a similar situation and I have to keep all discussions to email so that we have an accurate record…people have a tendency to remember what they want to remember. Also, it avoids things being said in the heat of the moment and can keep things a bit more reasonable.
This is quite a useful resource.numbnutFree MemberI had a young Irish assistant called Arron. He was soon given the nickname “Chinese Allan” then just “Chinese”.
Then I overlooked a trainee and his surname was Battman. He was a bit useless so was given the nickname “Boy Blunder”
numbnutFree MemberThe code is valid for 21 days and can be had here
Gives you a PDF to download too which I just saved on my phone.
numbnutFree MemberMy old 205 used to do this over bumps.
details can be found here
I spoke with Garmin and they offer a flat rate repair/replacement at about £65 IIRC but I never bothered and eventually replaced it with a 1000.
numbnutFree MemberThis use to wind me up when my parents spoilt my boys.
Then I compared it with their other grandparents who don’t give a shit and I’m quite relaxed about it all now.numbnutFree MemberThe “Yellow Bird” at the ring.
Masterful car control complete with mullet.
numbnutFree MemberM25 > M11 > A406 > Royal Docks Rd.
I drive that regularly and would never go across town unless the M25 was knackered.
numbnutFree MemberWe have had continuous issues with illegal use of the woods by motorbikes; 4×4 vehicles and horses that ride off the bridleway. Our signs get vandalised and gates get torn down.
At best that statement is misleading…..
numbnutFree MemberWent for a ride through here last night and was pretty saddened by what’s happened.
I entered by Monks Green farm and there was a “Bushcraft” banner on the gate and warnings of private land and to stay on the footpaths accompanied by a map which wasn’t clear.
There’s a small portacabin by the first singletrack on the right hand side so I carried on and turned right up the track on the trace below. There are now a number of bridges crossing the ditch on the right hand side with portaloos dotted along too and saw the new camping area.
I got as far as the end where it enters Broxbourne Wood (which was decimated a few years ago)and there were four parked vehicles on the left hand side together with the off-road golf buggy and was confronted by a number of felled trees to block the path.
I saw a number of people in the wood on the right (including orange t shirt man)one of which called out so I stopped.
A chap called Euan came over and said he worked for Bushcraft. He explained that it was private land, they had leased it from Hatfield House and I was no longer allowed in there. We had a pleasant chat and he explained that it included all of the area of Brambles, Cowheath and Hedgerows Woods (areas to the NW of the main track)all the way down to the brook that runs along the bottom of the valley.
He also went on to say that I could carry on riding the area to the SE of the main track (the area within the loop below) as long as I wasn’t seen from the main track….
During this discussion orange t-shirt man came running over (we’ll call him Rattie) and I got the impression he wanted to lend some muscle 🙄
He soon realised there wasn’t going to be any trouble and I told them that I grew up in Cheshunt and Broxbourne, lived in Ware and that I had been using the woods for 20+ years and how disappointing the current situation was.
I asked if it was OK to carry on and exit into Broxbourne Woods (where the sculpture trail is) and they said it was but I might have difficulty as the entrances had been blocked up. I carried on downhill and they weren’t lying so I turned NE (one of my favourite runs in the area) and there were quite a few logs laid across the path which I can only guess came down in the recent winds…
I got to a point where another path crosses and found that the next section was unrideable due to the churning caused by heavy machinery so I turned downhill (SE) and got to the bottom at the stream. There’s a new barbed wire fence that runs all the way along the boundary and for the next while I didn’t recognise the place.
I was eventually spat back out on to the bridleway and headed uphill (NE), out to Monks Green and then onto the singletrack to cut through Highfield Wood towards Goose Green. I found a number of logs laid in the path and at the bottom of the run a number of trees had again been felled to block the path at Ermine Street 🙁numbnutFree MemberYou haven’t seen the bloke near me regularly seen using a full face motorbike helmet on his commute then? 😯
numbnutFree MemberA Fast Show sketch springs to mind.
I am not posting it!
This one?
NSFWnumbnutFree MemberDiscussion here on the subject.
I suppose the age of the car may be an issue but my F31 plays anything through the connected ipod and stream via Bluetooth from my phone.numbnutFree MemberI’ve found CBT together with yoga (meditation) has made big improvements to my PTSD.
I still get flashbacks after 5 years (although the depressive episodes after are much reduced) and was looking at EMDR just last night so might give it a whirl…numbnutFree MemberHope JEV gets another drive after the news he’s leaving Torro Rosso.
numbnutFree MemberRigger boots are being banned from more and more of the sites I visit.
numbnutFree MemberRun you finger through the gap between the cage and chainring as your spinning the peddles to lube the chain and your hand slips.
Still makes me wince thinking about it and the resulting ring shape cut through my nail.Forget to tighten the pad retaining bolt on your front caliper and end up in the scenery.
numbnutFree MemberI’m amazed anyone can afford to live in London these days without a flat share. One of my current projects is a new build block of flats in Lewisham 😯 and the 2 beds will be going for £380k. Nice views of the railway line though.
numbnutFree MemberI did this last year.
A combination of a schizophrenic company owner, bullying and bigotry (aimed at me) was enough for me.
I made my decision one weekend and rang them on the Monday morning to say I wouldn’t be back. They even offered me more money to stay.
numbnutFree MemberEE are currently “streamlining” the business in advance of a possible flotation next year.
This involves making lots of people redundant to artificially reduce their cost base to make the business look more attractive.
I can’t see their customer service improving…..numbnutFree MemberWhich model Skoda?
I ran an Octavia vRS which had 18’s but decided to use smaller steel wheels to save kerbing and make it easier just to swap over wheels and not faff swapping tyres on rims.
It took 205-50-16’s which opens up a wider range of tyres and cheap 2nd hand wheels.
I still have them in the shed…
numbnutFree MemberI’ve seen the Cheviots from Lochnagar – 111 miles apparently.
numbnutFree MemberI walked away with just my personal things (stereo, clothes, bikes etc)
My ex was to continue living in the house until it was sold and I wanted as little disruption for my kids as possible. This was after her having an affair with a colleague and leaving me for him.
She was kind enough to throw in the spare set of cutlery.I wasn’t really in a fit state to be
arguingnegotiating but I don’t regret it a few years down the line. It helped me get a clean break and buy a TV of the size I always wanted! It was a bit sad on the first night in my new flat sleeping on the floor with a sleeping bag though and don’t underestimate how much it costs to re-stock. It’s not just the obvious things but pots and pans, utensils and so on.
numbnutFree MemberFirstly, if you want to save your marriage, do everything in your power to do that but it takes 2 to make or save a marriage.
That way hopefully you will have no regrets but know sometimes it isn’t meant to be.
I would look at your work/life balance. You won’t get any thanks when you are lying on your death bed for the hours you put in and I don’t think many who have been in that position wish they had spent more time at work….
Don’t underestimate the far reaching consequences of divorce either – they can be far worse than you can imagine.
Then if you are still decided on going down the divorce route try to do it as quickly and as amicably as possible….
You need to get away from %age splits as it’s not that straightforward.
The courts will look at the welfare of the children as the utmost priority (rightly so). Who is “at fault” doesn’t come into it as we can all be to blame to some extent.
The financial settlement is known as “ancilliary relief”
and includes for split of assets, property and financial provisions for each spouse and any children. If you can’t agree this between you then the courts have the power to decide for you.
Generally speaking they would try to maintain the level of lifestyle afforded before the split if there’s enough money to go around but this isn’t usually the case. If the children are to live mostly with the mother then that would in your situation would be to provide them with a 3 bedroom house (for example) i.e a bedroom each.
If they are to visit the father every other weekend then a 2 bedroom flat would be seen as sufficient.
The court will try to assess the finances as chucking it all into a big pot, paying all your bills etc to try to leave you with the same disposable income as each other at the end of each month.
If the mother isn’t earning then you would have to carry on providing for her until such a time an adjustment would be considered by the court e.g she gets a job or co-habits with someone else.
Then there are assets, pensions etc that are also up for grabs.
Please don’t be naïve in thinking that your wife doesn’t know this as these decisions you make now could affect you for the rest of your life. By all means be fair and reasonable but get advice from a good family law solicitor. It’s all a bloody nightmare and with the emotion and stress I thought I was going to have a nervous breakdown on more than one occasion…..numbnutFree MemberBody mounts are fox ref: 803-03-011

Don’t know the best/cheapest place to get them – TFTuned has my new one at the moment and I got them to do it as part of the PUSH tune.
