So, while you lot are surrounded by the undead out in the countryside or in your castles, i’m off to a suburban library: nobody went there when alive, so they ain’t going to show up when they are dead.

So you’re going to bash the ones that do find you to death with books? I hope you find some big ones…

Nice advert, but yes. Lazy editing. Unless it’s intentional, in which case I don’t quite understand lol. I liked the atmosphere though.

The genius (If I do say so myself :p) behind using Mont St. Michel or similar is that you can walk to the castle during certain hours of the day, but when the tide comes in, it REALLY comes in. Fast and with very strong currents.

The hordes of surviving zombies after a days fighting are then washed into the channel, into the Celtic sea and then into the Atlantic, and if they survive that then they’re the Americans problem 😆

…I need to stop thinking about this or you’ll all see me on the news being restrained.

Viewing the documentary World War Z suggests that piling over walls is all in a day’s work for your average undead.

Aye. wouldn’t be any fun otherwise. Everyone loves a bit of zombie slaying from time to time?

Highly trained, experienced humans with in tact brains struggle to attack castles like Barra. Virtually your only chance is breaking the front doors down for which you will need hundreds maybe thousands of men, battering rams and trebuchets. Or you undermine the defences and collapse the mine, or you starve them out.

Zombies can’t do those things. They’ll just claw at the walls until they manage to climb over, at which point they will have their head well and truly chopped.

Castle is a good bet I think :p

That’s doesn’t seem to be what the hospital spokesperson has suggested.

Why would they in the wake of such a tragedy?

Why else would she commit suicide? I suppose it could have been unrelated but that’s a pretty massive coincidence the day after this happens doncha think?

I don’t know… I just thought they take the whole patient confidentiality thing VERY seriously because it is a cornerstone of the NHS and I guess democracy too. Even more so when a Royal is suffering severe morning sickness.

Death threats to the DJs from all the knee-jerk, mouth breathers all over their wall photos on Facebook. All just very sad.

Yes but as much as death threats are terrible – lets not get all teary eyed about the Radio DJ’s just yet shall we? They’re alive. She isn’t. She may well have had underlying issues but we don’t know, and she was probably going to lose her job. The prank call is obviously what tipped her over the edge.

It’s a difficult one because it brings us to the question of whether the prank call was malicious, or just misplaced. They clearly thought it was a good joke and would be taken as such, but people looking after the Royal Family take that very seriously.

She would have been “The woman who’s mistake lead to a nurse giving out confidential and closely guarded medical information to the world”.

It’s a tragedy either way, and we should all be supportive of the poor womans family – her kids, her husband. Because those two radio DJ’s unwittingly tipped her over the edge.

All the agencies I’ve been at recently have got web work. They’re all London based.

Does he have any insight on why he thinks his company is failing? 🙁 very sorry you’ve just had to go through that ordeal. He’ll thank you profusely a few years down the line when his business is rocking again.

But as someone said, he may have to be a phoenix, ditch the old and take his experience forward with a new direction.

link to his businesses work? (if appropriate? no worries if not.)

I hereby challenge any post zombie apocalypse “tribes” who disagree with our amalgamation of the old and the new to ‘come at us bro’. We’ll use your corpses for something useful like a sandbag wall. See how useful those weapons are when you run out of ammo 😡

oh jesus. jesus jesus jesus that is terrible.

My heart sank and I wasn’t even the prank caller. Imagine how you would feel if you were personally responsible for someone killing themselves 🙁

I found the prank call pretty funny, but equally stupid. I just didn’t expect them to get anywhere with it. Clear security issue there, but not worth someones life.

I’ll be heading down to the nearest caravan park to “borrow” one of those massive American RV’s with a genny on board, then heading off to some farm in the middle of no where with a crap tonne of red diesel and potatoes to eat. I’m not going to give the location of said farm, because as nickjb said in different terms – I don’t trust you lot and it would defeat the object. But said farm is placed perfectly. *cough* one side is coastal – you only have to defend half of it *cough*

Then with a band of trustworthy people I’ll build an iron age fort incorporating the important parts of the farm, with guard towers placed around the edge of our concentric walls.

Then we’ll dig a secret tunnel to leave the fort when meat is needed.

We won’t rely on finding guns or ammunitions because ammo is finite. We will use swords and spears and rock those zombies old school style.

These things have to be planned. Especially when one is bored.

Quite. Not to mention the several I’ve attended left sitting in the waiting room (and one sitting on the wall outside the surgery) who were actively having an MI !!

I was under the impression that even the mildest MI puts people on their ass? Is this not true then?

I’d have thought someone having an MI would be absolute top priority!

Sneaky, thanks for that, genuinely nice to hear that. Im hoping that when I get a definitive diagnosis and an all clear on my cardiac concerns I will be able to just forget about it.

If my pain symptoms continue I will definitely go to see an anxiety specialist to see whats occurring.

I just can’t wait to get back on my bikes. So fingers crossed the ECG’s come back normal etc. 🙂

And yes I will definitely stop reading about shit my symptoms have nothing to do with on the internet lol 🙂 thanks man

Yes, let’s bury our nuclear waste under one of the most beautiful natural sites in England.

Which turd burglars came up with this idea? Can they not bury it in camerons garden or something more appropriate?

While we’re at it lets just use stonehenge as a refuse site.

Silent Running made in 1972 is one of the best sci fi films ever. And one of my favorite things in my childhood was all a lie.

First time watching it, and realising most of the best parts of star wars were stolen from it.

Oh, i can pretty much guarantee you would have had tests performed to rule out a heart attack in A&E (the troponin people have mentioned). It’s often taken before you are even assessed by a doctor.

So can I definitely rest easy in knowing that if I did have a minor MI that night, that they would know from ECG and Blood test an hour or so after it passed?

You have to treat me like a human body idiot here… because that’s what I am. I wouldn’t get past the contents page on a cardiology for dummies book.

I’ve so far had 24h ECG monitoring, 24 Blood Pressure monitoring and an echocardiogram.

My doctor suggested a referral for a 24hr / week long ecg. No one has mentioned blood pressure to me, although it was checked on the day of my pain by paramedics and hospital and they never mentioned it as a problem.

    Changes in bloods.

You mean it would show up in a blood test?

Re referred pain – that makes a lot of sense but Damn human body – you complicated.

So the general consensus is that the ECG will come back fine like the others, but possibly with a slight irregularity, and my GP just doesn’t understand the one she was given?

Hopefully an all clear on the ECG from the Hospital will mean I can forget all about it and accept that the viral thing will have to go at some point 😐

I’ve had anxiety pains for over 20 years.

Jester, that is very very interesting. A previous doctor said she thought me stressing/being anxious about being ill was making my symptoms worse.. so we shall see. I know that if I get an all clear on the ECG that I will be a lot less worried.

Definitely ambitious jumping 200mph further than the last record. 1000mph on land will truly be remarkable. Something Britain can be very proud of when it happens.

I believe it will happen, and aside from the normal hiccups, I don’t think anything big will go wrong.

I love how they need a cosworth v8 f1 engine just to power the oxidiser pump for the secondary rocket engine 😀

I loved how at one point zane was like “they told us what to wear, and how to wear it, how to live our lives and how to express ourselves….” And then hastily adds… “But how to be unique and original too…” “I don’t know how they did both of those things actually…”

I must seem like a right old paranoid fool but I’m not used to being ill and I’ve never had such ominous feelings/worry about being ill before. I suppose it is being exaggerated by me feeling that though. I suppose I can take reassurance from the fact that having had the sharp pain in my chest and left arm on a number of occasions and still being OK must mean they weren’t MI’s. riiiight? :/ surely 10 or so of them in a month would put me on my arse for a long time?

The paramedic did tell me as well that I was not having an MI when they arrived, and when they got me calmed down and everything that my heart rate dropped crazy fast back to normal. But I did wander if he was insinuating I may have ‘had’ one, without wanting to stress me out.

I don’t know. Something doesn’t feel like its adding up. But thanks, advice so far has been reassuring. (bar all the you’re going to die, can I have your stuff comments lol) ESPECIALLY FROM A DOCTOR! :p

Would there be any symptoms beside ECG proof of an underlying heart condition?

And would someone mind telling me a little bit about the Gland in my neck that might be the culprit/a contribution to my symptoms? Is an overactive thyroid easy to treat/dangerous?

What I can’t work out is how this pleuritic infection would cause pain in my left arm either. Sorry for all the questions but it’s nice being able to remember things I keep telling myself to ask my GP but forget.

It would have been done as part of the investigation, it’s almost fail safe on ruling out a heart attack.

I never had a specific test done where they mentioned serial troponin. Just had regular blood tests I believe. Although they may have done the test and not told me?

I suppose when they say blood test it’s actually a number of blood tests on one sample for different things? Or is troponin more specific?

if they were harmful in your case you’d been referred more urgently.

I don’t see how they could tell the difference between harmful and non harmful without seeing one on an ECG though. I’ve never had one during an ECG, so I’ve just described them.
