…but, if you loose 1ml or 2ml or oil each time this happens, does it eventually become a problem?

Depends how often you adjust the air pressure…if its once a week, I guess it could be a problem eventually. For me, once set they should be good for awhile plus once bitten, twice shy…turn the bike upside before adjusting

    Regrets? I’ve had a few…

Regretting flogging a 3 month old Superlight at the end of last year because I do not think I gave it enough of a chance. 🙁

Regret telling my parents they can throw my old cloud blue GT Tequesta in a skip…What was I thinking!?! 🙁

Didn’t even quite get this one…Bought a Pitch Pro with 20% off in January (£939) but cancelled the order before it was delivered 🙁

Regret selling my Klein Attiude to a mate…bought it back from him 6 months later with lots more scratches than I sold it to him with 🙁

What rickos said and from TFT FAQs…

When I alter the negative air pressure in my air fork, there’s oil at the valve. How can I stop this?

The oil is lube from the air chamber which collects at the bottom of the fork during use. To prevent the oil weeping, simply tip the fork upside-down before checking/altering the negative air pressure.

I was a bit disappointed: terrible song and Dita only came down from her sofa in the last minute 🙁

    A little update…

    Built and clean

    3 hours later…

    😀

First time with 20mm forks and did like the stiff direct steering feeling but the extra weight and height are going to take a bit of getting use. Very happy. Love the colour which I didn’t expect I would at first.

Not a dig Hadge…I’d have done the same! Just got a PA myself and the forks are definitely worth more.

I can crash this and don’t have to worry

It is a good feeling…plus I like the weird thought the forks are worth 3 to 4 times the value of the frame at RRP 😀

    Looks fun…nice!

Departure from your usual boutique frames iirc? 🙂

Thats my regular route…in fact just off to test the new PA out on it now 8)

(tend to do it anti clockwise as I enjoy joining up the singletrack round Leith and Coldharbour then the descent down Wolverns)

I just really don’t want to upset them; they seem like nice folk.

So are most sales persons or they wouldn’t sell…until you’ve signed on the line, as it were. What would you say to a double-glazing sales person who was cold calling?

I like Avid Juicy brakes and have sets on 2 bikes but the pads are fiddly to change: anyone know if the pads are easier to change on the newer Exlirs?

Always find brakes a bit of a ‘mare as, until you’ve run a set for a while, its difficult to say if they are the right brake for you in terms of ‘feel’, modulation, easy of serving/pad replacement etc.

I find superglue sets quite brittle with little flexibility and therefore wouldn’t work well with the expansion/contraction of the tyre.

Thing for me about the Rules is they include these lines:

Claims should be above reproach and must reflect actual usage of the resources being claimed.

Claims must only be made for expenditure that it was necessary for a Member to incur to ensure that he or she could properly perform his or her parliamentary duties.

Members must ensure that claims do not give rise to, or give the appearance of giving rise to, an improper personal financial benefit to themselves or anyone else.

The requirement of ensuring value for money is central in claiming for accommodation, goods or services – Members should avoid purchases which could be seen as extravagant
    or luxurious.

I don’t think a lot of the expense claims being exposed satisfied these inclusions which to me demonstrates the contempt these arrogant MPs have for the general public

😆 So if its good enough for their Twitter page, why can’t it be posted on here?

Is that furry bear card another entry? Didn’t realise people went to such lengths for these comps.

I walked from EC train station toward town and saw a bloke projectile vomit whilst walking

I saw someone do that the other day in Croydon but what made it even worse was the pigeons started standing in his vomit picking at the chunks. Was without doubt the most disgusting scene I have seen in ages so I thought I’d share 🙂

To be fair to Croydon, I quite like working close to the large quantity of shops and the transport links are good. So far(!) only been headbutted to the ground once but that was a while ago.

I had a set of 355 29er rims on XT ’08 hubs with DT Super Comp spokes/brass nipples. Fantastic wheels and were both tough and light in my experience. Only sold as I moved on from 29ers. Oddly enough I weighed them and still have the details…

    29er 355/XT ’08 Front Wheel: 815g
    29er 355/XT ’08 Rear Wheel: 978g (1793g Both)

Nuke, I soooo wanted that car. Never got it though

Yeah, it was cool. Thing that doesn’t really come across in the picture is it’s size: got to have been over half a metre long which, to a kid, seemed even bigger.

The link you’d used was to your Flickr webpage and not the specific file so instead of http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3346/3522222614_0401a8599a.jpg yours just read http://www.flickr.com/photos/38270485@N05/3522222614/

This one sticks in my mind as the classic one we all wanted (My bother had it)…

    Here’s 2 of my favourite ones I owned…

Sadly, I think a lot of the innocence and simplicity has gone, from Lego. Too much merchandising stuff and ‘themes’; Star Wars, Harry Potter, Indiana Jones etc. And there are too many elaborate parts; part of the appeal was using one’s imagination, to overcome the limitations of basic pieces.

Do agree but then at the same time I love my son’s Lego AT-AT and Tie Fighter…Lego and Star Wars: the perfect match!

    It was me! 😀

Don’t recall throwing my teddies out the pram though. ‘backed out of deal’ did we have a deal…I offered what you were asking plus half share of the postage: you said postage was a £5 (which is what I expected) and therefore seemed that £32.50 was suitable. You had a pop at me for missing a bargain over 50p but likewise if you had split the postage equally, sale would have been done so you also lost the sale over 50p to.

Even sent you a follow-up email saying I was a bit grumpy due to a late night and wished you good luck with the sale so not sure why you felt the need for this thread 😕

I’m sure someone will get a bargain.
