Amazing building but I kind of get a ‘Last days of Rome’ feeling about Dubai

so encouraging people to borrow 5-6x their income for overinflated assets that are currently losing 2% of value every month is a good thing?

    Nope, didn’t say that

…actually I can’t be arsed to rise to the bait

I’m on a tracker mortgage so I benefit but still don’t think this cut is a good thing…I’d much rather see a reduction in stamp duty or to increase the levels for each band as a direct incentive to encourage the housing market. All reducing interest rates does is devalue the pound and therefore increase the cost of imports which, inturn, is passed on to consumers.

Second the Zaskar and the Nishiki Alien…although iirc I wanted the ACX model with the bolted on stays. Nice.

…oh and its a total cliche but the red/white/green Klein Attitude… like Pee Wee Hemming rode to 2nd in the downhill

What I find ironic was that the BoE reduced interest rates to ‘help’ us and get us spending but actually its having the opposite effect as by devaluing the pound the price of imported goods went up and thats putting consumers off from spending…well its putting me off and I love a new set of Pikes!

25% sag is a starting point, its not the ‘correct’ amount of sag. Fork setup is a trial and error process until they are right for you and your riding; adjust pressure in +/- by 5 psi, go out riding, adjust accordingly, go out riding, adjust accordingly…until ‘right’. 🙂

Not heard that either chamber should be adjusted first.

    I’d just have 2 BBs…UN54s only cost a bit over a tenner.

No riding for me: took kids down to Brighton so they could use their new scooters on the sea front…was a lovely family day but bloody cold!

Will ring Leisure Lakes in the am, they are knocking em out at £1,174!

So is everywhere, even Evans…they reduced the RRP. Amateur 😉

You’ve missed the 20% off at Dales offer but the Cyclestore still has them at 15% off! Clicky here

Another approval; I enjoyed watching Party Animals…shame in a way as I doubt we’ll see a second series if he’s now the new Doctor.

I can’t live without my Humax

Can’t help with issue but got to agree they are fantastic and a total bargain; think we paid about £120 for our Humax 8000T about 3 years ago.

2 sets of Juicy 5s (…and soon also to have a set of Juicy 3s 😉 …although I’ll be selling them on); both sets work well if time is taken to set up right. Changing pads can be fiddly (It sounds so easy on the instructions: “Make a brake pad sandwich…blah, blah, blah”) espically in the middle of a cold wet ride.

    Offer was to the OP.

I bet they are heavy as

    Eh?

Rev U-Turns on my 08 Superlight. Got 2 sets of Revs…I’m considering selling one set (barely used Rev Air U-turn in white) if interested.

If you’re buying new, Fox ain’t cheap. Bit confusing as its a under 500 bike then you consider upgrading with forks that will cost you the best part of 500 new! As RR says, I’d go with Rebas.

Was okay this morning but feel a bit rough now.

Just relaxing watching Wall-e with the kids: best film I have seen in ages.

Up all night tending to the needs of my 2 week old twin daughters no doubt

Good luck to you. I’m a twin…my parents didn’t have anymore kids after having me and my brother; having now got children of my own, I can only now appreciate how hellish it must have been for them…bless ’em 😀

Instead of buying a new drive, I got an external drive enclosure and re-used an HD from a desktop PC when I got a laptop…Paid under £20 for an Akasa one and it works a treat

Watching Top Gear repeat…missed the first 40 mins which is irritating as its not repeated again (guess I could use iPlayer though)

Its taken me a while to get use to the fact if it says “Posts 1” then there are no responses to a thread as 1 is classed as the original post unlike on the old site where number of posts would be responses only…clear as mud I’m sure.

anyone know how much a pitch pro weighs?

31lb I think was quoted in the ST review…sounds optimistic to me.

I’m soooo tempted but the thought of having to flog a 4 month old Superlight is putting me off. Is the Pitch overkill for the Surrey Hills?

“up its offer of compensation for the level of stress he had been put under in trying to resolve the situation.”

Stress he’d been put under! FFS. Everyone after free money.

Chuffing bells that Dales offer is cheap…and so very tempting. Wish I hadn’t seen that. Offer ends tomorrow so only one day to make up my mind.

…Evil Sovereign frame would also be nice. Damn, damn, damn.

Green with envy over Mark’s fabric Xen helmet, Matt’s attempt to convince a cow to give up “enough fur to cover my helmet” was met with a swift and painful repsonse.

    @firedwheels:

So you haven’t kept you username (going by the other thread), you’re defending Wheelsonfire, and Wheelsonfire recently got banned or ‘fired’ from STW…

…nope, its staring me in the face but I just can’t quite get the link. Ooo, ooo, I know, you’re FredDibnah 😉

Don’t forget to force fluid back into the system prior to removing the syringe. Got the same ‘lever to bar’ when I first did it by following the instructions but, by pushing fluid into the system, all was good.

Ever since reading the ST review then reading other stuff out there, I’m keen to give this a try…

For many not an obvious choice but being more a 4inch travel or hardtail rider, it would be quite a change!
