My guess would be rear axle or dropouts.

Good call Wiggles – Purgatory in 26 X 2.3 are £15! Can’t go wrong, especially on a kids bike
    here

Butcher front (£16), Pergatory rear (£15) – is a combo people go for I think.

I have those 2 tyres if you want them – bought (in error) from Specialized a couple of weeks ago, still in the boxes unopened. £30 for the pair + whatever it costs to post them.

I emailed tech@turnerbikes.co.uk a couple of weeks a go & got a pretty prompt reply from David Turner.

    Wally – No problem.
They are neat little tools & as a standalone tool they only weigh about 60g & not a lot more than a standard QR when fitted to your bike as intended.

    Pedros Tulio.
Can’t use it if you’ve got a thru’ axle, but the tool itself is very good & really lightweight – worth buying just for the tool at this price :-
On sale at Merlin – £16

Weber Q Series – pick which ever size suits your needs.
I have a Q3200 – easy to use/move & great for quick (lid down) cooking.

Great, thanks for all the info.
I mostly used to just ride there from my house & perhaps still could do from where I now live (at a push), but will probably have my young son with me & maybe better off driving up there.
I used to sometimes park on the Mitchett Pl Road, at the junction with Grange Rd (just up from Stoney Castle Range) – but I know that parking place was blocked off by the Army quite some time ago.
Any other good spots to park nearby that are still open?
    Thanks again.

I ordered some Wahl cordless clippers a few weeks ago, used a discount code on the Wahl website & got £10 off instead of the 10% that it was supposed be!

Used them for the first time last night, never cut my own hair before & TBH I was pretty impressed with the result – definitely paid for worse haircuts in the past!

Thanks for the input – have managed to pick up some Polaris Terra shorts for £25 from an ebay bike shop.
    Cheers.

    I wouldn’t opt for Hermes.
I currently have 4 large boxes awaiting Hermes Collection – they should have been collected last Wednesday & Hermes still have not shown up yet!
I appreciate that things may take a little longer at present, but they can give me no definate collection date at present.

Any experience running the non Grid tyres on a lightweight riders bike?

Was thinking I could get a pair of non Grid Pergatory tyres for my lightweight 12 year old son to run on the Specialized Enduro i’m building him.
£15 each & he’s not going to be loading up the sidewalls much at his weight – worth a punt run tubeless with some Stan’s liquid?

Audioengine A2 or newer A2+ – a bit over your budget, but a decent pair could probably had from eBay for around £100.
I have 2 pairs of the A2’s & they are excellent bookshelf / desktop speakers.

Nespresso seem to be vastly reducing the choice in their original capsules recently. So I’ve been trying the Starbucks pods, they are actually Nespresso aluminium capsules so no compatibility issues.
Coffee is pretty much as good as Nespresso, plenty of choice & £20 for 80 on Amazon – what’s not to like!

I had exactly the same issue with that XT mech.
Switched from a Saint mech which cleared the cassette fine to XT where the arm clashed.
Sorted with a goatlink (cheap eBay one).

    A loose rotor?
I don’t have centre locks, so no idea if this is possible, but had a similar thing when the rotor bolts came loose on my rear hub once.

If I were to be spending £2K on a watch for my wife (she should be so lucky) – I would be seriously looking at an automatic Tudor watch.
A lot of Tudor watches will be above your budget, but should be plenty of 28mm /32mm / 36mm watches around £2k.
They are excellent quality & finish with 5 year warranty & the little brother of Rolex.

Depends how portable you want it – but you wouldn’t go wrong with a Weber Q1200.
I have the larger Q3200 which is very good.

Kenda Nevegal / Blue Groove 2.35’s – Downhill version has Cap Ply casing & wire bead or for a lighter tire the kevlar bead version can be bought with SWS side wall protection. An excellent tire combination – tough, grippy, maybe rolls a little slow but then grip slows you down!
