Really? The one thing you take from that is a opportunity to have a dig at Christianity (I’m not religious by the way).

I think that using not only the Bible but also the Koran, Talmud, Book of Mormon etc as your guide to modern laws of your country will also lead to problems. No discrimination here.

I have had some Stanley Bailey chisels for about a year and have held up well, take an edge easily and hold it.

Im sorry, but suggesting Japanese chisels for what the OP requested is like suggesting a TT bike for someone wanting a bike to pop to the shops on!

They also said in the press release that this recall would not affect the financial results, if it was going to be a full replacement of all shocks sold that would definitely have an affect….

Is it really “debt” if you are buying an asset…? As long as the value of the car is dropping at the same rate or slower than the balance on the loan, I am not sure I see why people get so worked up about financing cars.

Yes there is a cost of interest, but it also leaves capital free to do other things, so thats what you really need to assess.

We did’nt go to the place at the beach this weekend, stayed at home. Luckily the maid is cleaning up the house, the nanny is entertaining the kids and the gardener is working away at making the place look half presentable.

Its the same thing here in Panama. These build these supposedly safe gated communities and then have a security guard earning $300/month as the gatekeeper. Guess who usually is the one setting people up to get robbed….

I bought an RS5 about 3 months ago… Amazingly fast, very nice, but thinking about selling it already. Not sure why I need it, in the end.

The bearings are in fact angular contact bearings that can be preloaded, so therefore adjusted…

Oil Traders don’t trade flat price by the way. Meaning they dont generally trade on the outright direction of prices, but on the spread or differential between either physical delivery locations or on the cost of receiving and storing the oil versus what level they can hedge the selling price at a given time in the future.

From what johnhe posted, worth noting that Switzerland, Canada and Israel all have much higher gun ownership and availability than the other countries. So while gun availability certainly allows the Yanks to shoot each other more easily, it doesnt really seem to be the reason they murder each other at such rates…

I carry a handgun, because I live in a country where one day I feel I might need it, and because I can. I also train a lot (few hundred rounds a month minimum), partly because I feel its part of the resposibility of having a gun and I also enjoy the sporting aspect of course. However I am very glad that even here where concealed carry is legal, its prohibitively expensive and extremely difficult to get the permission… Its definitely not something for everyone, or even most people.

I had the cash, bought them, dont like them at all. For me, the bike felt harsh as hell and lost all the “compliance”.

What do they say about reading the manual…

One of the bearings exploded when I tried to remove it- what do I do now?

Unfortunately angular contact bearings are not very strong when you side load them in the opposite direction they were designed to be loaded in. So, sometimes when removing them, they will come apart, leaving the outer race still in the link.
The Bearing Removal Tool 7900 can be flipped around to remove the stuck bearing race. Remove all of the seals and balls from the broken bearing, and clean out the grease so you can see what is going on. Use the removal tool as usual, but reverse the orientation of the removal jaws. The larger jaws will grab the bearing race.
Make sure the large flat face in the center of the removal jaws is flush on the bearing race. Once you have the removal driver installed, and all seems flush and flat, give the driver a couple of taps with a hammer. The race will come right out.

Amazing work by Rob Richardson but are there really that many people getting full arm or leg tattoos of Brad Pitt or some other movie star of the moment? Or a Transfomer? I really like the tattoos with design or meaning but getting somebody who is popular “now” tattooed on your leg for ever and ever seems a bit strange…

I have the 1.5 deg in my mk2 Nomad C. Absolutely no problems at all, although even at 1.5 deg the steering is a bit floppy so 2.0 deg might be “interesting”

Fitting was easy, all you have to do is put the cups in the freezer for a day or two, then they almost slide in by hand and a few light taps of the mallet, far easier than trying to press them in straight with a headset press.

My advice would be to hop from wherever you fancy in the UK to Schipol, and then take KLM direct to Panama City and then either stay with KLM or take COPA airlines to Medellin.

I live in Panama, have worked and travelled on and off in Latin America for last 12-13 years by the way!

I have the 26″ Enve AM wheels… They definitely do feel very different, much more direct, but I am still undecided after 3 months if they are better or worse than alloy wheels. I think the flex in most alloy rims is maybe desirable? I do love how the Enves look and I also dropped about half a pound of rotating weight, but I am not entirely sure I would buy them again, for example if I went to 27.5″… Probably just stick with alloy.
