I do a block of 4 nights and a block of 3 (12 hrs)
I never sleep before the first night normaly ride in the morning then just chill on the sofa for a few hours.
I have a meal when wifes gets home about 4.30pm then something at 10pm ish and 2am ish then breakfast at 6.30am when I get home. I try and be in bed for 7am then it just depends! sometimes I sleep well and wake about 1-2pm other times its just broken sleep. Sometimes its just a matter of surviving on what you can get I don’t think I get grumpy but wife say I do!
On the last night I always try and get up before 12 and make sure I do something active normally a ride or have recently started running, then its an early night (we never make plans for the evening after finishing nights)

I always think about the forth week of the four week cycle 7 days off :)

My excuses, I could ride to work, it’s even a nice ride 9 miles 7 of that on the canal.
The trouble is 12 hr shifts 11 of which I’m on my feet.
Takes half an hour to work by car cycling would make it a 14hr day.
At the moment if driving on nights I have time for dinner with wife before leaving for work and breakfast the next morning. If cycling I wouldn’t see her
I do sometimes ride on a Saturday night if weather is nice and lights not needed.
Most of my other riding is from the front door. Only managed 5000 diesel driven miles per year for last 4 years

Vallnord not the biggest but really good riding and no lift queues!
Worth trying to get a day at Soldeu park as well, bit less dusty than Vallnord. Maybe worth giving Martin at singletracksafari sure he could sort you out transport

I used to be a regular donor when I lived near a donor clinic it was nice and easy to just rock up and donate
I have only donated 3 or 4 times in past 5 years due to moving and having to visit the mobile clincs.
As others have said the mobile clinics chaos! Rock up without an appointment they don’t like that, yet try and get an appointment !
