The Lynskey is a more contemporary LT hardtail, whereas the Ragley is more edgy.

    What does this mean?

Ironically it’s the white bits that are easiest to wipe clean. The black suedey bits on the other hand are starting to look a little scruffy.

AM40s really are very good. Look OK in the flesh.

5-10’s are loads uglier than AM40s, you shouldn’t rule the shimanos out on aesthetic grounds.

    Surf’s Up is rated PG.
    Ocean’s Thirteen is rated PG-13.

    Hardly adult movies.

The use of the terminology “Adult movie” is a deliberate attempt to mislead and have people believe that this is porn in order to “sex up” the non-story. Pretty deplorable reporting.

    Sad state of affairs.

Internal Martial Arts = f-ing useless in a fight without years and years and years of training.

Best bang for your buck is boxing or Muay Thai. Branch out into MMA later if you stick with martial arts.

I’ve done Karate, Boxing and Muay Thai. For what you are looking for I’d rank them in this order:

    1) Boxing
    2) Muay Thai
    3) Karate (by default…)

I started with Muay Thai, didn’t get to a high level, then my club disbanded. I joined a karate club instead and found that I was mostly battering the black belts with Muay thai techniques and my strength and fitness.
Then after leaving uni I did a bit of boxing and it was a revelation. I thought I could punch before, how wrong I was. If I hadn’t had a series of hand problems I’d still be doing it.

Caveat: What is presented above is my humble opinion. I recognise not all karate clubs are created equal, I’m sure someone will be along in a minute to espouse the greatness of their club and tell me I’m talking shit.

Allowing the elder sibling to be heir regardless of gender is just good sense in our times of equality between genders. Besides, some of our most respected heads of state have been female, not least our current Queen.
The catholicism thing is more problematic, as the Queen is the head of the Church of England and by definition cannot be Catholic.
Interesting point on Breakfast on BBC this morning – there is actually no restriction on the heir marrying someone of another faith, such as Sikhism, Hindu or Islam, which would be even more contradictory to being head of the CofE. Goes to show how much the world has changed since that law, it used to be so unthinkable that they didn’t even bother to legislate against it.

    Subtle for 234BHP

Aftermarket skirts + splitter + wheels + big spoiler + sticker in the back window + pikey racing seats = most certainly not subtle.

Just because it is black it doesn’t make it subtle.

So you have downgraded her bike without her knowledge.

How does this address the problem?
Why don’t you tow the trailer?

I just wish I could come to work next week without fearing for my safety or having to camouflage myself in casual clothes.

Where some pink shorts to draw attention away from the shoes. Problem solved.

Although being paperless is hardly green, do servers run on fresh air?

Firstly, running those servers uses less energy than that which is used to produce paper, ship it all over the world, process it into sheets of A4, supply to Bank, run printing operation and then despatch using diesel powered snail mail.

Secondly, the servers would be there anyway whether you have paper statements or not, as you still need the facility to access the information online.

Hardly green my ass. Care to suggest an alternative?

I think he means ways of the “countryside”, i.e. casual attitude to killing of animals.
This seems to be less of a “countryside” attitude to controlling population, more an act of extreme cruelty. Judging by the BBC report’s phrasing anyway.

First post! Wanted to join up and clear something up as some of the posts here are misleading.

Carte Neige is NOT a substitute for travel insurance. Essentially Carte Neige is a recovery service like the AA – it entitles you to recovery from the mountain to the nearest medical facility by whatever transport is necessary – ambulance, helicopter, trailer behind a ski patroler.
It does NOT cover any other expenses.

And yes your travel insurance probably covers your recovery from the mountain, but you will need to pay up front and claim back – when my friend bust his collar bone practically the first thing the ski patroller asked him was “do you have a credit card?”.
I get the Carte Neige every time as I feel the no questions asked convenience factor is worth the extra few euros.

So in summary, Travel insurance = essential, carte niege = nice to have.
