Cover your plants with netting/fleece so the butterflys can't get in (next year)
And grow sprouting broccoli/kale that grows through Winter and is ready before the pests (and when your garden isn't producing much else veg-wise)

Good crossbike territory is on the Cefn Groes windfarm roads linking Devils Bridge, Cwmystwyth and Llangurig/Upper Wye. Also cutting north from Pontrhydgaled into Hafren forest. There are too many variants to suggest specific routes.

I sympathise. Sometimes I appreciate the meditative aspect of cycling – physical effort without having to keep ones brain in gear constantly to avoid physical injury. Is that what you mean?

The B+B run by The Druid in Goginan generally gets good reports on here – a mile from NyA. Also Ceredigion real ale pub of the year.

    These are not benchmarks

    benchmark:
a standard by which something can be measured or judged; "his painting sets the benchmark of quality"
a surveyor's mark on a permanent object of predetermined position and elevation used as a reference point

I like Magura brakes but IME they are a bugger to bleed.
(I also like Hope and Shimano and would probably like the others if I tried them)

This afternoon I was out my cross bike and there was a bit where I had to ride along an old hedge bank – a bumpy narrow track with about a metre and a half drop on either side. Half way along I thought about that video. It made me fall off.

I think I'd be more scared of a gang of youths armed with cats.

Home made wine can be good cheap alcohol that tastes fine, after the first glass or two. Just don't expect it to taste like bought grape wine. It gets considerably better the more grapes/grape concentrate or raisins/sultanas you put in it and the longer you leave it before drinking (difficult).

Seeing as 2mm diameter is just 1mm per spoke, probably not.

Have a look at the spoke ends and see if they could be 1mm longer without poking out from the end of the nipple. If not you could probably switch to 12mm nipples if you have 14mm at the moment.

Mind you, I'd certainly ride them till they're buggered before I paid out nearly £80 for a new pair.

First flickr pic of Aber seafront is listed as between 1890-1900 but the monument on Pen Dinas (1852) isn`t there. It is in the second pic.

Good stuff (just when I was planning to get some work done before home)

I've always used a hacksaw with no problems. Use a new blade and perhaps wrap some tape round the inside of the tube.

I have been using the head and hose of an old track pump attached to my car tyre as a compressor. I put a few turns of electrical tape round the valve and fit the loose end of the hose over it. The screw fitting for the loose end (reversed) then slides back over this like a compression olive. Then simply fit head end to car tyre.

freeridenick is right – apart from the very top it rideable (although some bits near the top are perhaps borderline. Definately worth both walking and biking.
