^^ nice one. will give it a go. i think the diablo and sirius just needs new batteries, the joystick is dead dead though

i mailed exposure about a year ago when the diablo started dying and got no reply. I heard it was expensive anyway so didnt bother chasing it. I probably should be more persistant

thanks richard, thats the right sort of money. Ive got a dying sirius, dying diablo and dead joystick so just trying to find a more user setviceable solution, thanks for the offers above though

LOL. I have a couple on my watch list already. kind of does my head in that they are sealed, I would feel a lot better about them if I could get in easily and change the battery every couple of years

If you claim you will have 5 years worth of increased premiums and loss of no claims, total cost to you of minimum £1000, if you already have 5 plus years of no claims and they arent protected it could double that. Get the tippex out then take it to a decent bodyshop

My Vito was marginally less to insure than my audi a6. Churchill seemed totally ok with insuring a van as a family vehicle

My favourite races of this year were pmba grizedale and lee quarry. So planning on doing those 2 next year. Maybe mix it up with the BES hamsterley and something welsh

Are you anywhere near sheffield? I have a 19inch orange p7 frame you can have. Its 1 1/8 but ive got a rockshox 100mm fork thats in the way as well. Yours for a couple of ales. The frame has a seatpost stuck in it but someone who uses corks as structural elements on bikes can surely sort that out

I had the same with a set of deore brakes. Binned them in the end (kept the levers). Rescued the discs with fenwicks disc brake cleaner

A lot of its psychological, something to do with your hands, 5 minute break outside work, nice thing to do after food etc. Within 18 months it will seem minging and alien

Nice one. Tough thing to do but still the best thing I ever did. When i did it i saw a massive increase in fitness over about 4 or 5 weeks which was a good motivator. Staying muntered also sounds like a plan!

Dont buy anything now! In a couple of weeks there will be a leak of a secret christmas staff code that offers further reductions…..just like last year and the year before

sounds like a classic dying battery. try and source / fit one yourself from a local motor factors if money is an issue. i would guess around £60 but its a while since i have had to buy one

Private investigator is the best theory on here, my mate did this for a job and its exactly the sort of bull he used to make up to get information. Second best is that its about to be reported stolen and used to do something extremely dodgy and your man wants to know he is supplying a car that cant be quickly traced. Either way I cant see you or any of your stuff is in danger. Probably

If the bike is only 4 months old and its going to be any significant amount of time before its properly fixed they should be offering you a replacement or a refund. Ive got no sympathy with the whole ‘the warranty is with SRAM / orange’ thing, you gave the money to the shop, whoever they have to deal with to get it sorted is up to them

Its in the warranty period, why not get it sent back before it gets worse

Use superfine wet and dry rather than sandpaper. I used Audi clear coat lacquer from a car paint touch up kit. That worked really well

Last year on these threads i was mocking the amount people spend and saying how good my chinese lights are. And they are, but I have increasingly noticed that its the 4 year old joystick on my lid that is getting me home when the other lights are dead

Might as well get that bolt kit, all the other bolts will probably come in handy at some point

I test rode one, didnt like it at all. Heavy, very high at the front. Geometry felt like a bike from 15 years ago. The other bikes i rode that day (g160, process 153) were in a different league performance wise. Some people seem to love them though so might be worth getting a test ride, wouldnt suggest you buy one without trying it

I either go one way or the other. If its short, or i know i am passing the van i use a bottle + inflator, tube, gels and tool in a frame bag that sneakily fits in one of the frame spaces on my spesh enduro, or if its a longer 5 + stage enduro and i know its not coming back to the car park i take everything off the frame and use a camelbak. I hate having a pack on but i cant do a 3 hour loop on just a bottle and bits

I have had maxxis vanpro on my vito, decent all round tyre (not a winter tyre but quite an agressive tread). Cost me about 90 each and they are wearing well, look like they are about 50% worn after 9000 miles

So who was the marshall singing ‘if your happy and you know it clap your hands’ at the tricky bit on stage 2?

They are pretty good. Clamp band is a bit flexy though. Still would rather spend the extra than have to look at the indicator window on the xt

100k to spend on a car? A vito for the bikes and a nissan gtr for the making progress, should come to about 100k
