might just be worth getting a new lever. i replaced one after a crash. cost about £30 i think and easy to do

full face whenever it is cold enough to wear one. who cares what anyone else thinks? surely having a warm head and keeping your teeth when some bellend runs you down is more important

one of my favourite cities. have a walk around the hill with the castle thing on it. if you are feeling flush there is a hotel adjoining the castle. a hilton i think. pretty goood. i stayed there once with work

i cant be doing with taking helmets on and off between stages at races. once its on it stays put. either a proper full face or a met parachute depending on how much the terrain scares me…. so a beefier parachute would be perfect.

    kimbers- yes mate. thats me

kimbers, i think we met in real life, was it you that i passed at eastridge when you got a puncture?

so the gamekeeper had taken a break from poisoning buzzards to have a go at a cyclist? tools of the landed gentry, they dont deserve your respect. unlike all the other good people you met today who do

same as that hype about the guy who split his lip wearing an urge archi enduro. no one stopped to ask what his face would have looked like with an xc lid on. ive got an archi enduri, i might have held off if i knew the new parachute was coming out

that snowboard thing is really funny.

what about a flashmob of disgruntled DH customers? if you got everyone together who he has upset you would have a decent crowd.

OP – keep hold of the forks and tell him he can have them back when he gets off his ass and picks them up

I didn’t realise it was was a re-run, so what delights do we have in store for the rest of the episodes, prisoner abuse? one of the happy squaddies goes a bit mad and shoots civilians?

maybe they could do a second series where the squaddies come home and struggle to adapt to civilian life. The opportunities for humour are endless!

sounds like a consensus for decent bearings then, I suppose the originals have lasted a few years so £15 for a pair isn’t bad

    Cheers all

was your mech 9 speed? I’ve got a very used x9 one with seized jockey wheels that you are welcome to, swap your jockey wheels onto it and you are away. let me know, I’m happy to pop it in the post for you. its literally of no use to me as Ive moved to shimano, and it would be better than you stuffing a mech into the spokes and adding to your woes

anyone tried these ‘tactic’ rims yet?

    http://superstar.tibolts.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=74&products_id=809

tubeless ready, 23mm internal, 1750g a pair for £220, pretty tempting. I’m thinking it would give me a better tyre profile than my arch rims which I think are 19mm internal, but same weight…

    sorry for the hi-jack ;-)

180\160 on mine and it still gets used for long days in the peaks quite happily. 150 has to be about optimal for general use I would say

seeing as im running a 2.8 kilo set of 180mm vans that would save me a chunk of weight
