Thanks mboy. Yes, just sticking to the shimano crank that came on my spesh enduro. Think i might splash out on a renthal chainring. Looks chunky

I guess so, freaks me out that connectors by themselves can be £8 or £9 though, I’m used to getting them with the chain and carrying the old ones around to repair breaks

i didnt know the sram chains were happy on the the new shimano 11, thanks catfish. I might look at those, I’ve been using SRAM 971 for year on shimano so I guess it makes sense

thank you drovercycles, I figured it should work but nice to hear someone who knows for sure! xtr shifters and xt mech it is

so I’m thinking of buying the xtr shifter just so I can find bar clamp with no indicator window. Has anyone tried this with the XT mech? I assume it should all work OK. I heard that xtr wouldn’t support the 11-42 tooth cassette but I guess thats a mech thing rather than a shifter thing

So do all xt bar mount 11 speed shifters come with an indicator? Hope not. It wont fit around my brakes if so. What about xtr shifters, do bar mount versions have indicator windows?

Thread ressurrection! Finally decided that my 2008 vito with 196k on it wasnt going to blow up tomorrow so fitted a new head unit. Sony MEX6001, DAB, phone etc. Sounds pretty good

Massive upgrade on the standard sound5 unit

Had this with some deore. Changed pads and rotors but it still came back so has to be something caliper related

Race info looks good. 2 stages that are never usually open to the public

Yes. I put xt pins in mine. Took a bit of force. Im still not sure if that was due to threads on the caliper that were covered in paint or if i just screwed them into the alloy with brute force. Either way, seems fine

Could it simply be that the lever is tight up against your gear shifter and its fouling the pivot on the bottom of the lever? Happened to me after a crash and i just needed to move the lever up a bit

5 bikes 4 people all inside is van country.

Ive got a vito. Love it. Though i would rather poke one of my own eyes out than drive it again in the snow.

If you do go for a van prepare to pay, or search hard for one that hasnt been wrecked as a commercial vehicle

Just about to embark on this myself. Was thinking of an alpine head unit and small active sub under the seat for starters

i test drove one a few years ago. loved it. fast but predictable when it started to give way. would have one in a heartbeat if i could justify it

i get on with urge down o matic. usually cheap on crc. as above though, whatever you get has to fit well. 661 dont fit my weird head. if they rattle about they are impossible to ride in and dont give you much protection

@pictonroad. had the same problem with lezyyne pump with the hose. so i bought the version that presses on. that version snaps the valve stem off if you get a bit clumsy. grrrrrr
