Doomanic they can’t match it !!
They would sell you the post and spent workshop time fitting it which they should be charging for

    It might go like this
Bloke buys expensive stuff online even though he doesn’t know how do to a simple job like fit a shock
He more than probably will moan if it costs more the three quid and will almost certainly blame the shop if anything happens to the shock or the frame at any point in the next three years
Might not be you op but it is an awful lot of people .

I Always try to look at with the view that I would rather get f&&ed over now and again than live in fear of it
So I would say give him the flat floor if you feel it’s the thing to do

I used a north east based company called fast track they were great
Kept me informed and claimed a load of stuff back cost me 23% but I did almost nothing at all
    Wouldn’t have bothered otherwise

Those of you making misogynistic comments about wives and women, has it occurred to you that their apparent faults may have bugger all to do with the fact they are female. No need to write off all women!

    Really ?
You have one slightly iffy post in a very balanced thread and you throw that in
If I’m wrong please show me the misogyny in this thread

Might be worth asking her to consider her whinge to positive comment ratio
Last time I pointed this out to my other half she did concede that she was just moaning all the time

If you are upto the job of a lowers service on them you will find the travel stamped onto the bottom end of the air shaft

Can you not just casually ask them what it’s for in a friendly neighbourly manner
And then decide whether or not you want the thing burning down

I went from bronson1 to bronson2 and to be honest man it’s only the name that’s the same it honestly is a completely different bike to ride
Super stiff and able in the steep gnar but probably a bit less trail bike than the old one so be sure it’s what you want
If you spend most of your time at trail centre type trails it’s probably no better than the one you have
Not sure about the least desirable thing though it’s the nomad that’s due a change so that’s the one I would avoid

It’s the bearings ,the hub has to be able to adjust the load on the bearing and then be locked off to use angular contact bearings such as mavic , King etc

    nonk
    Free Member

Oh hold on you’ve put angular contacts in there
That’s not going to work in that hub it’s just gonna load it up to tight
Yep you need radial bearings for that hub

if you aren’t bothered about the performance side of things then yeah if it ain’t broke etc
If you are though it makes a massive difference after only a few months of riding
I work on a fair few shocks and a solid couple of weeks in the Alps will have a shock performing way below what it’s capable of , depends a lot on the rider the terrain and the shock in question
For me the the trick is in finding someone that will change the damper oil and charge the ifp for you with out all the full service kit and sending it off expense

Can’t recommend these enough on 24 build
