when the chain rubs the bottom of the mech,where is the chain on the cassette? if its not in the bottom 3ish (34 32 28 ) then it could just be that.

so what i am saying is are you trying to set it up with the chain in the smallest sprocket at the back?

current bike is around 23 and for me this feels right.
no one can tell me thats a load of toss as it is down to the way it feels to me.

again a helicoil might be a goer depends how mashed it is.
sometime you can sort it by running the pedal in from the back of the crank if its just a bit chewed.

i got into football for that very reason i just felt i owed it to my mates to be more interesting.
i think the reason i hated it was based around it being rammed down my throat at school and by my family with the ,it comes beore anything else attitude.
thankfully my mrs is a mad keen liverpool fan and being tought why football is class by a obsessed woman made it more enjoyable.
once you start to apreciate the skill on dislpay it gets you.

my lass thinks that all machines should work flawlessly all the time regardless of how you treat them.
this means i have no greif on the washing front but allways have a mountain to climb when i have to fix her bike.
