I must say when one goes full throttle on colour accents it can get old fast – For my new build I’ve gone for black components but sneaking in a bit of colour via brake mounts – rotor bolts – headset spacers etc .. The cheaper swappable parts – Easier to change when you invariably grow bored of your chosen colour scheme .

Call xbox support – they’re surprisingly helpful . . My first thought is setting up multiple accounts off the same e-mail address could cause issues . And obviously if the the games you’re trying to use are age restricted.

Even the ‘4k’ games are not true 4K – this will change in time – probably when they launch the Xbox 2 – If you want incremental visual upgrades the X will deliver – even on a 1080p screen – Super sampling can render ‘4k’ at 1080p with more fidelity – but in real life terms it’s negligible – you’d need to be sitting closer than recommended infront of a large screen – I still may get the X but I dont think early adoption is worth it if you already have a One – If your still on a 360 amd your feeling flush then go for it . .

The more expensive ‘smartphones’ get – the more breakable they became – I’m on my 3rd S7 which is cracked on the glass back – I’ve been watching YouTube videos on how to DIY replace – Apparently all this abundance of glass is great for wireless charging – Do people care about that? The HTC M8 was all metal body and i dropped it loads and it lasted the duration of the contract – hopefully tbe next gen of phones will address durability issues – Cracked glass is too common now .

If you want the best current deals I think you can’t do better than consulting AVForums.

It’s a super hard job – if you want longevity it’s better to fit in some smaller pruning jobs week in week out – I’d say it’s virtually impossibe to sustain the physical demands of big jobs 5 days a week – The pruning jobs will give you a recuperation. The older guys tend to invest in plant machinary to cut down on the physical graft – like diggers for ground work and stump grinders..

A mate of mine after downsizing plugged his turntables into some active speakers – they were Mission – surprisingly good sounds – looks like Tesco do them for £130

Anyone know of a good 27.5 x 2.6 which isn’t too draggy but still has a tough casing? – think I’m done with thin casing low pressure . .

After much deliberation I’ve decided to build up some 27.5 “mid plus” wheels for a 29er – I’ve gone for relatively narrow 30id rims – what gives better grip a tough casing 2.6 front / 2.4 rear at lower psi vs a lighter weight higher volume 2.8/2.6 – My head tells me go for slightly skinny tough sidewalls at low psi but my heart says 2.8ish – I haven’t much experience of really big tyres but I’m worried they’ll be a bit rubbish for jumps.

As most of my trail riding is messing about in local woods etc – I don’t find 29ers playful in the slightest – I’m quite frankly sick of them – I’ve been riding them for 5 years now – I don’t feel stable in the air – I don’t find they manual easily – which I guess would be my definition of playful – I think 700c is best for gravel/road – Yes they are faster overall which is probably why alot of enduro bikes are going 29er – But for messing about – Trail riding under say 20 miles – stopping and redoing fun parts of trails – getting air etc wagon wheels are not playful IMO – Efficient and practical yes and modern geometry has made them more playful but relatively their still ungainly.

Is a cheap 4k better than a higher end 1080p? Make sure your broadband is up to speed if your streaming Netflix etc – Cheap 4k’s don’t always do a great job of upscaling lower resolution content – ATSC 3.0 is a new broadcasting standard that will be rolled out and your current model will be somewhat redundant – Personally I would shop for a great deal on a higher end 1080p right now.

If track pump fails then the coke bottle inflator has always worked for me – As already mentioned if it’s too difficult to seat then you are probably asking for trouble on the trail at some point – better to try a more cooperative rim tyre combo . .

I took RedDead1 back about two plays in – super boring for me – I’ve never gotten on with GTA – Max Payne 3 I finished – overall I find Rockstar super boring . . I need a new game though – happy to be proven wrong with RedDead2 .

If your not going to spend big money – then I’d personally go for a very cheap option – I’ve noticed that alot of the mid price stuff feels cheap and will probably be a boil in the bag sweat fest – My own take is your berter off getting a warm when wet baselayer and partnering it with a lightweight softshell.

Eating until your really full – Isn’t a bad thing intrinsically and it does lift your mood – I find vegan/plant based options really helpful for combining non weight gaining with a feel good binge – Porridge (loads of it) with chopped fruits made with soya or rice milk for example – The last thing you need when your feeling down is to impose puritanical constraints on yourself – Its wrong to pathologise the desire to eat until your done. The meds however..

I personally wouldn’t tap someone on the leg – The shoulder or upper arm is more appropriate – You did the right thing essentially though – the headphone noise is a nightmare and people who either care not or are oblivious to what they are are perpetrating are idiots that need guidance.

My bud has one – IMO it’s the paint jobs that sets them apart – riding characteristics wise they’re nothing special.

What is dead in my estimation is classifying bikes pertaining to wheel size – way too many variables both objective and subjective – Sometimes we merely want to try something different or our riding habits change – Personally I’m wanting to go 27.5 having been on 29er for the last 5 years – this is mainly because my riding is mainly local sub 30 mile rides where I’m mixing things up a bit and heading out to more dirt jumps and off piste fun – I just can’t jump 29ers and I struggle with manuals – I need a bit more chuckability – The wheel debate though is mainly a construct of bike journalism. .

I swapped to Orange and then back to Stans – which in the case of my slow leaking Racing Ralph has proven better – It’s stayed up for a week – I feel however with air leaks there are too many variables to categorically state one sealant is the best . . I need to start home brewing !

It’s not easy getting market value for expensive antiques – The main issue is that dealers understandably won’t pay what it’s worth – But without their contacts it can prove difficult to source buyers – Auction houses – you’ve got fees then the gamble of getting decent bids – especially when your not in the business – Also transporting costs to reputable Auction houses can mount up – Case in point – looking to shift a cabinet that has been independently valued at 14k – Another valuer came to view and waved 5k cash and said he could take it that day – I bet he would for 5k – Quoted £600 to correctly package and ship to London auction house – Perhaps its easy to over value stuff – but then again it’s easy to get ripped off ..

Had an Audi hire car conk out on the motorway – The recovery driver said that he’d not touch an Audi with a barge pole due to the ammount of them he had to tow – Anecdotal of course – but this somewhat corroborates with my Sister’s company Audi – Which she estimated needed about 4k’s worth of work doing on it over 18 months .

I’ve had this type of play – where rails meet the rear of saddle’s base – I put a bit of grease which helped with the creeking – Although you say there’s no noise coming from your Fabric – My other somewhat botched solution has been to hammer in a needle to form a wedge so to speak – this actually worked – I cut the needle down when it was fully driven in . I was always under the impression that the fabric carbon saddles were one piece moulded though and thus there would be no gap where rails meet base . .

Defund all the neo-marxist / postmodern humanities before we have conversations about scrapping fees . The ideological homogeneity of such institutions has reached it’s zenith – Thus communists like JC want to mobilise the long march through proliferation of ‘free’ higher education.

I’m using similar rotors – The Alligator Windcutters – I’ve experienced quite a bit of flutter from the front which I guess can be attributed to the cut away braking surface – They do the job – look good – but I would prefer not to have the flutter . I’ll probably go for something more conventional next time . .

Just deal with symptoms – diphenhydramine is bad news – I’ve been a hay fever sufferer all my life – gave up all medication years ago – My eyes stream constantly and my skin itches to high heaven but I know what im dealing with and just get on with things – Long term use of antihistamines will more likely cause complications with allergies . .

The BBC: The Myth of a Public Service, by Tom Mills – This is good reading for those who are so delusional as to genuinely flirt with the notion of BBC impartiality..
