MTFU – is the best approach – but from my perspective that would involve changing your circumstances which is often more gruelling than early morning hill climbs – f@#k commuting that far – move or change jobs – time waits for nobody ….

I like a 1 season synthetic bag – oversized to accommodate my down clothing accordingly – this is pretty much as good as it gets for British conditions – Exped Down Mat – quite heavy but it generates so much warmth you’ll save weight elsewhere.. Western Mountaineering Down Trousers are my fave piece of kit – Snowpeak Ti Solo Cookset is nice .. Bivy should be E – vent – breathable – Gortex ain’t good enough.. Shed loads of booze – I like good gin with apple and lemongrass .. Bubblgum Amsterdam cup Winner … Ok that’s enough that now 😉

Regarding the N9 being designed specifically for Suss forks – I’m pretty sure I read somewhere that Chris Canfield ran some Niner rigid carbon on his …
Didn’t know the. Ritchey frames were made in same factory as Surly – I know they are considered by some as somewhat overpriced..
Still no closer to pulling the trigger on replacing the inbred
Might get a powdercoat in the meantime ! (JMC Daryl Young Candy Apple Red ) GOAT colour IMHO..

Been peeping the Stooge thread – think I’d go for nimble 9 over one – EBB’s – maybe I’m being narrow minded – don’t think I want one – otherwise it looks sick ! – they defo deserve to sell out – In all honesty I don’t think I’m qualified to know optimum geometry for my needs – yes I love trying to jump and go faster on local trails – but I generally cycle out to the trail so covering some distance is still important – slacker angles are aesthetically pleasing but are they always as pleasing to ride taking into consideration xc duties also ?

What’s more dangerous – choosing not to wear a helmet if you don’t want to or a society that advocates diminishing freedom of choice and free association under the guise of security ?

The Curtis does look super nice – pretty much custom frame price bracket ..
Feel like there are a lot of unquantifiable factors trying to upgrade – according to On One they stopped making the Reynolds versions of the Inbred as it rode identical to the 4130 – I’ve heard it said that the Ritchey P29 tubing is their own version of Reynolds ..

Bike will mainly be used for local trail xc / fitness / messing around on but I do like pump tracks and smooth trail centres and jumping as long as there is a good down hill landing .. Yes I’ve thought that P29 geo is quite XC ish but was hoping that a medium-sized might work if it’s long enough? – my inbred is a 16 – I like 29ers to feel a touch small but still long – looking to get a 25mm layback – P29 doesn’t look right in bigger sizes IMO ..

Niner – mmm ain’t gonna f##k with ebb’s – never had one but don’t like the look of them – Wish the P29 used threadless headset – isn’t the Stooge using the same tubing as Surly and Salsa ?

So has anyone on here upgraded from inbred to Ritchey p29? Is the rear tyre clearance decent – I’m 2.4 rear ..
Is the Richey better than the Pace?

Go up to strangers in the street and address them whilst holding a camera in their face and see what types of reaction your going to receive – As this is effectively what you’ll be doing wearing Google Glass.

I don’t think there is much correlation between cost of shorts and durability of the stitching – sad but true … Boardshorts are available cheap and unless one requires gnarled out downhill protection very functional … Oh and the just below knee look that so many MTB shorts adopt is a little too Chav dad these days ..

Criticism of a social phenomenon of which a significant minority of MTBer’s indulge in is not comparable with having a personal dig at someone – Hey if you want a little tootle round your local common in head to toe matching kit – knock yourselves out – Just make sure all your accents on your components match too hey …

This is how it works … Somebody thinks your good enough to be paid or at least good enough to receive free product – in return you represent said sponsor by riding/wearing their product – If your not that guy your chumping yourself pretty heavily setting off for a ride in fully coordinated regalia ….

Maybe I’ve just been lucky but Shimano XT and Saint have both been bomb proof in my experience – a ton of super muddy gravelly wet riding coupled with a lot of jet washing – always continue to run smooth … I bought a used 10/10 condition Hope I’ve yet to fit – I don’t personally see the value in expensive BB’s unless one just wants high end everything – which is fair enough ..

The establishment media will mud sling at any independent political organization/party regardless of policy or ideology – I wouldn’t vote UKIP but let’s be clear having concern about immigration policy doesn’t make one racist – UKIP is raising other issues – It calls for the Bank Of England to be audited – Or do you think all this Quantitative Easing is justly credited to we the people? If my partner didn’t defend my right to have a mind of their own I’d consider splitting up – maybe she should leave you …

The overall weight of kit strapped to most bikes doesn’t seem enough to warrant being encumbered with so many little bags and straps – just ride with a 40 – 60 litre pack – first time I did couldn’t believe how easy I found riding with around 12kg – for seriously long expeditions this may not work but for long weekends I think a.backpack is good enough … Plus if one finds any fun sections along route you can just take your pack off and ride rather than fiddling arround with all that Velcro !

My buddy’s factory fitted press fit died after 3 weeks of light use and none of the LBS’s stocked a replacement – consequently he missed a great day’s riding – My.hollowtech bb’s have been faultless including a relatively cheap XT one which survived 7000 miles of commuting including last year’s floods during which time I regularly cycled through knee deep muddy puddles also I jet washed constantly – it’s still smooth as silk .. The only time I’d f##k with press fit is if I got a deal on a second hand frame ..

Probably best to treat the Malverns as an xc type of day and just enjoy riding the length of the ridge so to speak – lovely views to be had on a clear day… Can’t imagine there’s much downhill type stuff to keep one occupied all day … I heard there is some fun to be had mind ..

I have some crocs style Trek Mates sandles and I’ll second.their practicality – on a warm day there’s nothing nicer than feeling the wind through your toes ! No worries about wet feet either as everything dries up instantly.. They grip pedals really well too .. Backing a crocs renaissance – just don’t colour coordinate them with one’s bike colour accents – that might be a little too tragic!
