I usually find a full speed skid about a foot behind walkers ankles does the trick

My little crew of riding buddies all ride ‘different’ styles of bikes on our local trails – from full Sis /hardtail and full rigid – 29er 650b and 26 respectively – When everyone’s out having fun the last thing on anyone’s mind is what bike who’s riding – it’s literally of zero concern ….

And I really don’t care what bike anyone else rides for that matter …

Bloke I knew took a bike in for a service at a LBS that he’d recently picked up for a good price – turned out it had been stolen off a customer who’d bought it from that shop – they ‘held’ him in store whilst the police came … Personally you could offer we a 10 grand bike for £50 and I wouldn’t touch it with a barge pole – your wrecking people’s life’s going down that road …

I think we could provide a far better health service for much less if we start with a fundamental paradigm shift – moving towards preventative approaches as opposed to the modern decadent mindframe which too often expects a nanny state to fix things – you can’t eat crap all your life take no exercise and remain spiritually redundant and make it through life without issues – But whilst the NHS is joined at the hip with Big Pharmaceutical industries a more mindful approach doesn’t seem feasible.. Yes state provision of healthcare is a model all societies should aspire to – But not at the expense of negating individual responsibility.. Case in point I was once referred for physio due to a recurring knee pain – I was eligible for 10 sessions – but all the exercises they ‘taught’ me I could and did learn of my own back – So obviously those physio sessions were a waste of money ..

Another reason to stick with a single speed set up …
Ridiculously smooth – Ridiculously efficient .

ISIS is Al-qaeda – the Anglo American establishment changed the name because it was becoming an irrefutable thorn in their propaganda mandate that ‘we’ve’ been funding/supplying them – Or do folk think these Wuhabbists got all those Military Spec Toyotas from captured weapons caches? Ain’t you seen the pictures of John ‘insane’ McCain chilling with known terrorists in Syria? Tony Blair saying putting ground troops on the ground is the answer is like saying 580mm is the optimum bar width for a downhill race in the Alps – David Kelly R.I.P ..

If your scared you’ve overestimated your ability – that’s paraphrasing Ueli Steck – a man with far bigger balls than most – channel the anger and practice more – repetition is the father of all learning …. (That last bit was a Lil Wayne quote I’m ashamed to admit)

I think folk should get empirical if they’re genuinely worried about drag – time trial is the only way – my own feeling is that a bit of drag is worth the penalties overall – as going fast with confidence is the best part of mtb – If you race then perhaps not

I love a trail centre but sometimes the logistics that goes with it – the miles on the motorway and getting bike in car and change of clothes , parking etc means that the simplicity of just riding out of my front door wins most times ..

Yep 3g totally sucks on Orange right now – and to add insult to injury when I tried to negotiate a £5 discount on my Bill which is the cost of my data package they refused on the premise that ‘it’s happening across the network not just to you ” Fail to see the relavance myself.. All I know is that as an Orange customer of 15,years things are a lot worse under EE – maybe they should keep back some of their Advertising budget they waste on bloody stupid campaigns featuring Kevin ‘ugly bugger’ Bacon and sink it in to a more reliable service !

Malevolent geopolitical policies designed to facilitate a rise in state security at the expense of sovereignty and liberty – in a nutshell that’s why ‘they’ let them in ..

Sounds like you’ve half made your mind up regarding new frame ..
Taller tyres could help as could shorter cranks and thinner pedals – but all these upgrades could cost more than swapping out frame if you got a good sale on current frame and then got a good deal on second hand frame with lower bb

I am a proponent of the Spank Spike pedal – shape is sweet – as is grip – thin …

Thanks for tips – had a word with LBS – the owner knows Schwalbe UK really well and said if I’d have bought it from him he’d have replaced tyre – but I got it from CRC – what I don’t get about patching from inside is that surely one is stopping the sealent permutation of hole ? Never had an issue fixing punctures on tubes but had little success patching inner carcass ..

I can always manage to get the bead to seal – had the real wheel off six time in two weeks – makes me want to quit riding !!!

Well I’ll be skint at this rate two rear tyres in a month and too much time spent sorting it out ! Also thinking about making some diy sealent!

The scary thing is we’re now entering that second age – Neo feudalism..
Collectivism should never be misconstrued as some nice fluffy liberal idea – If agenda 21 is realised in it’s entirety there won’t be any singletrack for the likes of you and I …

If anyone bothers you wild camping and gets angry with you – explain to them politely that you’ll be moving on in the morning and that you’ll never be here ever again – that your passing through – if they still seem angry then get angry back and tell them chill the hell out.!

If atmospheric dampening is going to occur – ventilation is key – so maybe pitch your tent in the wind – base layers. can also help trap moisture leaving the body … Personally I like an oversized 1 season synthetic bag with according down clothing inside the bag – best sleep system for UK conditions – unless it’s sub zero then the down bag comes out but then moisture isn’t so much of an issue …

I reckon it depends how long your ride is going to be and fitness levels too – If it’s a shortish trail centre ride then no harm in starting ride with saddle a bit too low in order to accommodate downhill sections….

I always thought the license was for ownership of the TV receiving device – not for the consumption of BBC content – regardless the BBC is a bunch of propaganda and I for one think we’d all be better off it dispanded .. If you justify your fancy new bike under the premise that you want it that’s not silly – it’s legitimate – But claiming some newfangled ride qualities just might be – But let’s not misconstrue ‘silly’ with wrong … Being silly with friends is a good thing !

Wash in bath – do not use a detergent – soap flakes or dedicated down wash – gently does it with the hand washing – be careful not to scrunch it up when wet as this can stress the fill and potentially compromise loft – dry layed out flat over a few days somewhere warm and dry – in future keep it cleaner longer by wearing base layers inside .. Replenish DWR with spray not wash in – Never leave bag in stuff sack when storing …
