any collision however minor should be reported to the old bill and an incident number should be generated. You never know what could happen otherwise, last thing you want is him turning around an claiming damages against you… (its been known to happen.)

looks nice dude. Saw some MDE stuff awhile back in Finalé. Their later stuff looks better thought out. My only slight concern would be the headtube angle, however thats almost certainly the fault of a wide angle lens being used to shoot it. Talk about level of detail, I love that it has both sets of ISCG holes so you can mount either type of Chain Device. Great if you're coming from a specialized.

Who's the new UK distributor? I take it E**ry is no longer involved.

yeah, great pedals. You wont be disappointed unless you have clown feet, in which case you'll need something bigger

I've heard that lavender oil helps calm them down, never tried though.

Terrible news. As a member up at Herts, we get a lot of the Surrey boys from Esher coming up. Very sad to hear its closing. Hope one day you guys manage to get a new venue and get back on the wood.

I'd totally agree with you on the whole 'its not the dog its the handler'
As for Cesar Milan, he knows his stuff, but I dont agree with a lot of his techniques. I for one would never try and dominate my dog, I always try and work out what's goin on. I tried the whole holding him down being the alpha male, and it just doesn't work in the long run. You can be the one your dog looks to by simply being the calm and assertive owner your dog deserves.

If there's one thing I've learnt about training our dog, its that he responds so much better when he's physically tired. We have a very dominant dog and he's extremely stubborn, if I keep him well walked and his mind occupied he's much happier and chilled out… I walk him for 40 minutes twice a day, and he sleeps much of the day time.

Ok so not looking for an argument, but how can you say wolves aren't really pack animals?

Much of what he covers involves becoming the pack leader. If the dog accepts you as the pack leader, you'd dont see a need to bark, so he wont either. Also a lot can be done by desensitising the dog using cds of sounds, plus proper socialisation.

Dog whisperer books… never had to worry about barking, just my 40 kilo Victorian Bulldog trying to kill my friends. Have learnt so much from the dudes books.

I have a mate who has one of these:

He loves it, apparently it has loads of storage on/in it. Bought it to do a 7 mile commute across herts, now rarely uses his car. He's had it like a year and apparently its still worth what he paid for it…

Is it off the peg? If so that's a lot of money for a steel frame.
You could get Dave Yates to build you a custom 853 to exactly your chosen geometry for that:

That hub doesn't have cones. Only hubs with loose bearings have cones. Sounds like the shop is spinning him some BS in an attempt to get him to buy some new stuff. Even if the bearings were shot and you sold it that way (not to your knowledge) a bearing swap wont be expensive. Tell him to do one.

I'd never use serif fonts for body text…

However if you must then I'd probably opt for something like Century Schoolbook. That's a lovely font. Hoefler Text will work relatively well as a body text font also.

just keep doing what you've been doing. Been with my wife 7.5 years (married 5 years last friday) She was the same, even asked me what my intentions were, knew that 'I just want to be friends' was coming, so told her I just liked hanging out etc. Couple of months down the line I went to OZ for 6 weeks. She missed me so much she realised she wanted to be with me. Never looked back. If you really like her, then just hang out, as soon as one of her friends starts asking about you, she'll either put in a good word for you, or she'll make a move.

I have them on my pitch, rode Aston on Friday, did everything there, no dramas. Great simple fork. I think their simplicity is the best thing about them. Just like the old Z1 freerides, set them up right and you never need to worry about them. If you're a fettler and cant stop messing about with stuff then they're not for you.
    I'd recommend them.

To put it in a slightly odd way. If I were your doctor and I said to you:

"Your hand is ****, its never going to get better, its only ever going to be 60% useful and its always going to cause you pain for the rest of your life. However we can cut it off, its really going to hurt and continue to hurt for a year or so, but you'll grow another one eventually and that will be better."

    Which option would you choose.

Give Jedi (Tony) a call. He does travel around, he did a course at Coed Llandegla (spelling) a while back and I nearly went on a trail centre course he did at Glentress. Realistically speaking you're about 2 and a half hours away from where he coaches

not tried it, guy I went to school with is now a lifecoach. Cant vouch for him either way. I cant help but look at it with a little skepticism.

very unlikely that that is a metal crack… 853 is an air hardening steel, so the heating process actually make the frame stronger. If I were you i'd strip the area back with some nitromores or similar and have a look under the paint.

CRC have them, as do Marshalls in Welwyn if you want to buy from a shop.

seems pretty expensive to me dude. Especially as its a test bike in the Alps. Probably had the piss beaten out of it TBH.

For 600 more you could have a brand new bike that you know hasn't be abused. At the end of the day as the old saying goes, you should buy the bike you want, not the bike you need. I've had my pitch for 3 years, I've upgraded a lot on it. Its never missed a beat…

Had on for an extended test for just over a week. Rode lovely, shame I couldn't justify it as I'd only had my pitch for 6 months. Great bike, I believe the yellow colourway was a dealer test bike only. So if you're buying one secondhand it might have seen some use/abuse.

I'd agree with Bazzer, Deviant is not a dedicated downhill helmet like a TLD. It is however way better than the frankly horrid Met P. The Carbon one is really light and its soo well ventilated.

Did you listen to the sound? Sounds like the bear got trapped and went into the bushes. Think the dude used the truck to get to the net and cub. Then the mother came out and was able to free the cub. Dont think it was anything sinister.
