If you do buy a bike from Halfords. Make sure you check everything is tight. I know 2 people that were hospitalised by Halfords ” mechanics” being bloody clueless. When we picked up our little uns bike from there,”ready to ride” . The front brake was loose, as was the front mudguard & front wheel , plus the handlebars were at 90°to where they should be.😞🤣

A bit of chalk in the food helps bung them up. We had a dog that got projectile diarrhea . It worked wonders for her.

You can get rain ex for motorbike visors. I use rain ex for the car . Brilliant stuff 😊

I took the egr valve out of my Volvo V40 & cleaned it with brake cleaner. Worth trying if you think you can manage it.

I took an 03 xc70 for a test drive yesterday. It was absolutely buggered. I’ve got a V40 estate at the mo. Not getting on with it. So I’m still looking for an old xc70 that isn’t a moving turd 🙄

The ones with the wheels at an angle so they look like they need the toilet do my head in. I really cannot see the point. 🙄

I’ve had neoprene smoke when gluing it with super glue too. It gets hot. I’m another that sticks minor cuts shut with it. Works a treat 😁

Hi. Good good choice 😊. Have a look at the lipo guide on msuk. I’ve beaten the crap out of loads of Rcs with lipos in them. 20 ft up out of a quarterpipe & landed on the trucks roof. 40 mph into concrete steps ) I can thank our little un for that). No explosion or fire. Lipos are everywhere. In phones, cars, laptops etc. They only go poof if mistreated. I’ve only had 2 go poof. They were old & not holding a charge,so I charged them outside. Then stuck a screwdriver through them. Quite spectacular 😁. The best place for lipos is hobbyking. I’ve got 2 Hardcase lipos for the outlaw from them. & About 25 normal ones ( over a few years) for the various other RCSAgain no disasters. Just treat them well . The outlaws not a skatepark basher. Watch king of the hammers on YouTube. That’ll give you an idea of what they’re for. Have fun. I bet you’ll have an RC for yourself within 6 months 😁

Hi. I’d go for an ftx outlaw. It’s 4×4
with a solid rear axle ,it’s half truck half crawler The brushed one tops out at about 20 mph. But that can be improved in with a brushless combo from goolrc for 40 quid when he gets used to it. The supplied battery lasts about 20 minutes. Buy batteries for them are pretty cheap. Have a look at the outlaw section in msuk. There’s acres of knowledge there .

My rear washer was blocked on the new to me Volvo. I made an adaptor for the air duster can, pushed it onto the washer tube & blew the blockage out.

No point in me having one. It’d get knocked off when I’m out enjoying the trails 🙄

Check out the underground drainage. We moved into a lovely flat. The first winter we were there the patio flooded because the drains were buggered up by tree roots. The water also got into the structure of the building . We had to move out because the damp / mould made us ill. We had a newborn too.

I’ve seen the local smack heads neck their methadone in front of a cop & get in the car & drive off. I had the head tube come off an old gt . Most unpleasant. But,if you keep checking for cracks on the welds you should be fine .

Entitlement? Roadies think they’re entitled to ride 5 abreast blocking traffic ( I’ve discussed this with roadies’& the ones I spoke to actually believe this 🤣.) Stick the middle finger up when you beep them to warn that you’re overtaking in your car ( I get a lot of this every time a GB rider wins a televised event. It brings out the mamils ) . I don’t feel any more entitled than other rd users. But I won’t take half a ton of horse onto a rd that I knew a race was taking place on. Maybe wait until the Marshall said it was clear? I didn’t say it was a race track. I said ” pretty much a race track”. & By as you say ” sticking to the rules of the rd” does that mean not peddling as hard as you can with your head down ? Because that’s not allowed. If the rider in the clip was sticking to the rules he’d have waited to pass. But no races are won by waiting.Im not saying that undertaking a horse is a good move,but if he’d been riding as I would on the rd , he’d have taken a hard right in time to overtake. Instead,winning the race was more important than the horse & riders safety 🙄

Thisisnotaspoon. What I’m saying is that I wouldn’t ride a horse where I knew there was gonna be a load of cyclists doing 40mph . Id take a different route to keep the horse & myself safe. They put up the signs weeks before the event. Do you think it’s a good idea to take a horse onto what is pretty much a race track for silent vehicles? If you shout ahead to warn the horse rider they’d say you’d spooked the horse. I’ve shouted ” passing on the left” to warn horse riders & got a gob full on a fast downhill bridleway. Can’t win either way 🙄
