I'd be heading up from Prestwick, can do it in 2 1/2 hours, and I'd be able to pick a couple of folks on the way up.

What time were y'all back at the inners carpark on saturday, I thought I saw Jojo whizz past me when I was fixing a puncture about 1400 on sat? not far from the top of the Caddon bank, didn't realise you folks would have been there then, otherwise I'd have kept an eye out.

Kit it's only a suggestion, if everyone wanted to head south or wherever, well so be it, just a suggestion. I just want to get the ball rolling, I had a great time at the last one of these I went to, at Glen Clova, even if I was as slow and unfit as ****!.

Definitely not the fork, no place for a lockout on a bike like that, no place for a lockout anywhere really, pointless IMO.

Totally agree. I used to ride Pace RC40's and the lockdown was great as it helped me keep the front end of the cotic down, however the lockout on the pikes doesnt, although the Pikes are far better than the paces ever were.

Hired a car from Hertz at Girona airport this year, Imagine how chuffed I was when I walked into the lot to see a Golf GTTDi – **** awesome car, So good, I'd drop down a few years to maybe a 56-57 model.

Forget the breadmaker, and buy a food mixer instead (the crusts on breadmaker breads are cack).

Easiest bread ever – I started this 3 months ago, and have only bought one loaf since, I make 2 loaves every 3 days. It works out great, I actually eat less bread, which can only be a good thing.

Bung 500g super strong bread flour, 1 sachet yeast, 1 tsp salt and 325 ml of warm water into your food mixer (I have a Magimix 4200, but any mixer with a dough hook will do).

Mix it for a minute or so, till it's a ball spinning round in mixer bowl

Cowp it into a bowl and cover with tea towel, leave to prove for 1 hour in airing cupboard.

Bring it out and onto a floured work surface, turn it over 3 or 4 times (on need to knead) then form into a ball and sit on top of a piece of baking paper (I put this onto a choping board on top of hob) and cover with the mixing bowl.

Wait another hour until it's huge again and heat your oven to it's hottest setting with your biggest lidded casserole dish inside.

Once roasting hot, remove dish and lid from oven, and lift dough (by the corners of the paper below) and pop inside casserole dish.

Put lid on and into oven for 15 mins. after 15 mins, remove from inside cass. dish and put back on shelf of oven for further 15 mins.

Remove and allow to cool. I cook 2 of these (it's just as easy and there's no extra mess) as I said every 3 days and we can't get enough of them. I use my 28cm Le Creuset casserole set, but I used to use a 3l pyrex one from tesco which cost 4 quid.

The process effectively steams and bakes at the same time, giving extra rising, whilst baking a lovely crispy crust.

Best bread ever, I never thought you could make your own bread as good as a shop bought loaf, but this pisses all over the top of the chemical shoite from the supermarkets.

I've had some experience of the op's pub. An odious wee **** of a man. I spend a fair bit of time on Arran, and I ain't heard a good word about him yet, must be the most hated man on the island.

I've emailed them a couple of times to no avail, really should phone them.

Work look as if they may go for the B2W sceme, thinking about flogging the Cotic, and adding some of the cash to B2W money for a Roscoe, looks like it's getting some good reviews. All day/Fun bike.

    Hotel lloret.

Right at the top of las ramblas, at the place catalunya. We had the font de la canallettes right below our balcony (where the barca fans gather after a big victory).

Cheap as chips, right in the place you'd want to be, clean. Brill.

I do apologise, thought Gerrard was the captain, but it would appear he's the vice captain.

Makes you wonder what the captain could get away with.

    Rape?.

    Genocide?.

Route 1 – Head out of tarbert towards scalpay and then turn left up the track past loch laxadale, till you hit tarmac, then turn left and head up road climb toward rhenigadale, after a few miles you take a right turn off the road onto a track leading back to tarbert via loch trolmaraig(sp?)

sorry to be vague, but it's mega obvious on a 1:25000 map – south harris.

The other routes are a big circuit of an clisham, and the singletrack south west of tarbert, again, buy the 1:25000 map and look for the dotted lines, you can not go wrong.

Spend a few hours round at seilebost beach, amazing.

if you email me on greg DOT bowie AT gmail DOT com, i'll give you my mobile number, call me and I'll talk you through it with a map in front of you.

Been about a lot of Scotland on my bike, but Harris is my favourite, just so atmospheric, remote and absolutely awesome singletrack.
