What forks are they? Have heard of a similar noise being attributed to the spring flexing sideways on compression and ‘tapping’ the inside of the fork leg on some RS forks.

I really liked it when I tried it. There’s a few restaurants up in London Town making a big deal out of having squirrel on the menu & there was an article in the Times a while back which showed them as the healthiest meat readily available in the UK.

Tasted somewhere between rabbit & bambi.

I’ve been running SLX on my latest bike mainly because I ran out of cash on the build. I have to say, whilst they’re not as light or ‘bling’ as XTR the shifting has been faultless & they’re stiffer than my old XT’s. BB seems to be holding up too despite a wet & muddy winter.

I don’t think so. I’d not have done anything. I’d have called the school and said ‘Look, you’ve cocked up here’ and that would’ve been that.

Exactly. If they’re going through as painful an experience as I imagine they are and this cock-up has upset them further surely broadcasting it to the world can only make matters worse?

He’s been done by Trading Standards a lot if accounts on the web are owt to go by but TS do not publish info like the ASA. I just don’t know how he carries on like he does – Isuppose folk make allowances if stuff’s cheap.

Ordered from him once & weeks of lies & BS followed as he was selling stock he didn’t have. Not uncommon as even the ASA have prosecuted him over it.

number1bikebits got pulled from Ebay IIRC.

Sounds unusual & I’ve never had the problem with mine. I do tend to run all my tyres with stan’s or joe’s latex in ’em these days though.

Hurt enough when the same section removed a large amount of skin from my elbow. Hope the injuries aren’t too bad and wish whoever it was a speedy recovery.

There’s a section of boardwalk at Bedgebury which has nowt on it but always seems grippy – someone told me it was the type of timber used?

XTR duals & a RR mech on my Yeti – came off my last bike & have given faultless performance in all conditions for over 2 years.

At least neither were an STD. Good news though.

My 05 had a cable stop just in front of the BB shell from which a short length of outer ran to another on the underside of the chainstay. From there, exposed cable to another stop close to the dropout from which an outer would run to the mech.
