Put the above on Talkphotography for a flaming opinion, on the last you really need to get rid of the tyre

    I take it you’ve been Stif’d ?

The first and last time I used Stif was for a new Proflex 856, came with no rebound damping and the worst customer service ever.

I wonder how many people have DSLRs and use auto mode?

Yeah this is what I don’t get. Using fully manual without a light meter is basically guess work isn’t it?
Okay you can use the Sunny 16 rule to make an educated guess, but the camera gets it right 95% of the time so why waste the brainpower?

DSLRs have built in light meters!

£600 for titanium nitride coating, mmmmmm, don’t think so. Pace forks had that and didn’t cost £600 in total.

When buying a 5-6 travel frame why would ‘how it climbs’ be a consideration/question?

Surely if climbing is a big thing for you you wouldn’t be considering a long travel frame?

I bloody hope I haven’t picked the wrong horse here because I’ve cross-referenced and trusted the reviews but to talk about how a 5/6 inch frame climbs?

    Hmmmmm.
Possibly one of the most stupid things I have read on here since urrrm some other thick post.

If you paid with paypal via ebay don’t worry about it, you’ll get your money back if it doesn’t turn up, I always have.

Anthems are rockets, Trances are OK but funny sizing, well for me at least, still an xc bike though and nothing like a five. Trek EX I really like, fast all round, better than the Trance not as racy as an Anthem. Santa Cruz are cool as I have a Heckler now and would imagine that a superlight would be a nice xc machine.

Don’t know about the rest though.

Hope hoops from 18bikes, mine came with a free stans kit

But are £50 more than other places!

The hope hoops that I bought were quite a bit over the stated maximum tension for the flow rim. Having said that no one that I know has had a problem with them.

Don’t be so lazy and look yourself, google might help, cadence, knee injury
that’s sitting and low cadence not standing. FACE-PALM

Both dip shit, sitting or standing it will still overload the joint.

what!? compared to say running, riding 1km or less standing up isn’t going to do much damage to your knees, it’ll build some muscle though.

Low cadence will stress the knee especially as he has weak legs anyway. Speed before power, as in learning to pedal properly and getting the legs used to the action before power training, which is generally done sitting at a low cadence.

Maybe people should look at some cycling sites instead of BSSTW?

not very technical but trying ride as much as you can standing up, that will do wonders for your leg strength, or it did for me when i had a commute with similar hills on the way home.

Not a good idea, sit and spin.
