In the same way that the vote to leave the EU had no valid fiscal foundation and was simply a gut reaction then similarly the vote on Scottish independence need be on nothing more irrespective of the pseudo economics being floated about.
I don’t have a vote but thought that if I had last time I would have voted no but now would vote for independence. Some unions are intrinsically worth preserving and others not.
I did this route as a bit more training for Dirty Riever. The climb up and over Black Mountain from Brynamman in a very gusty headwind/rain was a real joy.
The Centre for European Reform is a think-tank devoted to making the European Union work better and strengthening its role in the world. The CER is pro-European but not uncritical. We regard European integration as largely beneficial but recognise that in many respects the Union does not work well. We also think that the EU should take on more responsibilities globally, on issues ranging from climate change to security. The CER aims to promote an open, outward-looking and effective European Union.
Living with some terrible illness or disability is ‘viable and workable’ but not necessarily desirable. I am glad to see Jamabalaya has acknowledged that ‘viable and workable’ is the best we can aspire to.
I think the Vauxhall workers at Luton & Ellesmere port will be hoping May gets that Brexit cheque book out again….
Why, they were areas that voted leave and I assume they were happy with all the consequences that might flow from that decision. Leavers all took properly informed decisions after extensive research and consideration after all.
Solicitor. Mostly not. Would sooner be tinkering with bikes. Did manage to save a client just shy of £50,000.00 in Stamp Duty Land Tax the other day by staring very hard at Schedule 15 of the Finance Act 2003 (MV = (100 – SLP)%) which was quite satisfying.
