I used these: http://www.divorce-online.co.uk/ a few years ago, and was very impressed with their professionalism and speedy replies to my emails.

IT looks pretty badly worn to me, Each crescent (where the chain link sits into) should be a half round, a lot of those look like they're starting to elongate.

Here's an example of a badly worn cassette:

Don't panic quite just yet, Osteoporosis can be halted or even reversed simply by starting on a regime of weight bearing exercises.

In reply to Dick Barton, an old VW is more than adequate for camping and biking. The thing you have to remember is that you don't buy a 1960's/ early 70's vehicle to expect it to perform like a vehicle 40 years younger.
Part of the charm is being outside of the run of the mill rat race, that demands you get to wherever it is you're going as fast as you can. You break the journey up, and enjoy the scenery along the way.

We've just returned from a 2 week adventure in the Lakes with our bikes (which we also got married in the middle of :D) and my camper performed faultlessly for the entire time! 8)

Mine's down at Sainsburies right now. She's not locked up and does not have an alarm system fitted. I don't know what her serial number is so if anyone fancies running off with her I'll never be able to trace her.

Trust me, they're all fitted with an ear piercing alarm system!

I reported this to Ebay, as it sound far too dodgy to be anywhere near true.

I had an automated reply back from them:

    Hello,

Thank you for taking the time to report a seller who you suspect is
    offering stolen goods on eBay.

The sale of stolen goods is forbidden on eBay because it's against the
law to sell stolen property. eBay strongly supports law enforcement
efforts to recover stolen property listed on its website. However, we
can only investigate such a serious allegation if it comes from the
    police.

If you believe that an item on eBay may be a stolen item, please inform
your local police and ask them to get in touch with us. The
investigating officer can use the "Contact Us Webform" link on this page
to contact our Trust and Safety team:

We know your time is valuable and we appreciate you taking a moment to
express your concern to us. Thank you for helping to keep eBay a safe,
    fun place to shop.

Use http://www.auctionsniper.com to make sure that no-one outside of Singletrack wins it, as it's up to 256 with 12 hours to go.

If you need friends to come help you pick your bike up, I'm sure there's plenty of us here that would happily volunteer ;o)

As skid says, it's all part of establishing hierarchy. They normally work it out within a couple of weeks.
Try not to intervene, unless it becomes physical, and don't punish your older dog for it, it's natural behaviour and will only prolong the process.

Try virosol, it's an awesome product, and highly recommended by a lot of car cleaners for removing road tar etc.
You DO have to be careful though, as it's a pretty strong degreaser (you can water it down 😉 )

Since I was deliberately run down riding to work, I now always wear a set of dogtags with my details (including allergies) and my next of Kin details.
Probably a little morbid, but vital in my opinion.

Dogs from “breeders” can be a safer bet, but there are a lot of puppy farms churning out very unsuitable family pets.

Be careful if you’re looking for a puppy, try and check out the breeder as much as they should check out you. You should at least see the mother and her environment, and if possible the father too.

Ask to see hip-scores, and the test results for CEA & PRA, as the breed can suffer from an inherited eye disease (more info here: http://www.isds.org.uk

Awesome dogs …if you have the time.

Living with a BC is like living with a gifted child, and as hard work to boot.
They will run for hours and hours, but don’t think they’ll be happy with just that, exercising Collies just makes them fitter not sated.
They need a reasonable amount of exercise and a lot of mental stimulation to keep them satisfied.
Border Collies are the 2nd most rescued breed (2nd only to Greyhounds) because people run them for hours, get them hyper fit, ignore the mental exercising, then
can’t cope when they turn destructive because they take out their frustrations on anything they can turn to (shoes, furniture, people).

Think very carefully before you get a Border Collie, but if you have the time, energy & most importantly patience they are the most wonderful breed on the planet.

Start by talking to these guys, they’re very knowledgeable and will offer you a lot of good advice.

Good to hear Rochey. They are wonderful additions to the family, but like a new child they do add to the workload.

My first question would be why do you want to buy the kids a pet? Have they expressed an interest in having one, or is something you would like to do for them?

Children (in my experience) get bored with pets very quickly, as they have a very limited attention/ entertainment span. The pet then is passed down to the Parent (often Dad) to look after/feed/walk.

Think very carefully why it is you want a pet, I’m actually not that keen on the term pet, as they are a member of the family rather than a sideshow to entertain (sorry, just been involved in rehoming many peoples discarded animals).

You need to look at a variety of questions before you decide what to get, as they’re a lifelong commitment:
If it’s a dog you want, what do you want to do with him/her? Just the occasional walk, long walks every day, running next to you whilst you ride?
Do you mind if the dog/cat sheds hair?
How much space do you have at home for the pet?
Do the children want a pet to look at, or interact with?
How much spare time do you have to spend looking after the animal?
Do you holiday abroad much? (In which case you’re gonna need to factor in Kennel/ Cattery fees for each day you’re away)
If you holiday in this country, would you take it with you? Camping, pet friendly B&B’s etc?
Are any of your family allergic to pet hair?
Do you want to pay for insurance for them, or just rack up your credit card if they’re ill?
Are you prepared to handle accidents in the house? Soiled or torn furniture, or unexpected medical emergencies?

I re-read this, and it sounded like a bit of a rant (completely unintentional I assure you), but pets of all kinds are a huge commitment, and buying one needs to be considered very carefully.

Having lived with a non-union clavicle fracture for 10 months before I had to have surgery to fix it, one over-riding rule is to treat it VERY carefully for the first at least 4 weeks. I was told to wear a triangular sling for the first 2 weeks, then leave it out but don’t do anything weight bearing with it.
Also, ensure that you try, using your other hand to support the weak side, to keep your range of motion; but don’t lift the arm above 90 degrees without supporting it.
Ordinarily it will heal naturally in roughly 12 weeks, if there is a serious doubt of it healing properly after then, you have every right to demand a 2nd opinion.

    I’ll 3rd that.

    Boots, boots, boots!

Unless you’ve been riding a while, the subtle nuances of different boards, both new and used, will be lost on you.

The most important thing is to get a pair that fit.
It sounds obvious, but there are so many different shapes of feet (wide, narrow, long etc) and so many differing shapes (and levels of stiffness) of boot.

The boots should be snug and comfortable, and have almost no room for your foot to move around in, as you want any input from your foot to go straight through the boot, to the binding and onto your board.

Where are you Flatback? as I know of a very good Osteopath in Surrey that put my GF’s chronic pelvis problem right.

I agree. Go see a decent Chiropractor to evaluate you. He may, after that, either be able to treat you or refer you to an Osteopath for the correct type of treatment.
