Had the cold/flu thing for 2 weeks,Been left witha snotty nose and cough.Missus has it and my daughter.

5 miles.Felt like 50 with my cold and sore throat

I have a Octavia 4×4,Older style Haldex 4×4 system,Very good car,Haldex keeps the car front wheel drive and then puts power to the rear wheels if the front starts to slip,or if you smack the throttle pedal to the floor.

Been out in mine and passed all sorts of cars on the slippery icy stuff we have had recently,The look of suprise on some peoples faces when a Skoda passes them,whilst they are there spinning there BMW,Ford,Vauxhall etc makes me laugh.

As above,Fixed mine.Worked out it wasnt getting any fuel.Tested the coil pack for the solenoid,It was blown,Borrowed one off an unused heater at work,Sorted.Ordered a new one.

I noticed at my work,The people that live the closest seem to go home before the first flake has landed.
I live at the highest point locally and always seem to be the last to leave.

earlier in the year when it snowed i got up an hour earlier and cycled in(7.5 miles),people who lived less than 2 miles away phoned in to say they couldnt get in.
Its always the same people and i will agree they are usually the most unreliable and full of excuses.
