Will agree sort of,Arse of rear wheel is not needed, unless its very very steep.

Relax is the main thing,If you are tense the bike will not float.

Have you tryed removing all the air from both chambers and compressing the fork, this will check that full travel is acheivable.

    13ml is ok,think its 15ml max.

Ianpinder,I know what you are saying but its not a DH light machine, its sold as a xc/trail bike,It will handle some stuff, but its not a AM,DH bike.
I think Whafe did the right thing getting the AM29er made,I honestly dont think the AC would take regular hard landings. Its a very light frame.

I thought it was Organic only, due to the Magnesium caliper not being able to deal with high temperatures that semi-metallic would produce

Definetely a Nicolai AM,Not sure the AC(trail/xc frame) would like DH and all mountain.would probably be ok,but its not designed for jumping and drops so i think DH would kill it pretty quickly.

Less air in the negative or more in the positive should cure this.

I9’s,I had a set years ago,Mine ate bearings,Not too bad except one of them is I9 only.Amazing pickup though, look sweet.
I sold them and brought a set of Mavic SX’s,just put my first set of bearings in them after just over 2 years, ridden twice a week, rain or shine.
Would have to change some of the bearings every 4 months on my I9’s

Good to know my hubs have still never been built, would buy them back if they were red.

I had a set of the Mango kings, sold them on here.20mm front 12×135 rear.
    Amazing finish,amazing colour.

    £150 to build a bike,not bad,its a few hours work

Loving those haven carbon bars…off to have a look for some 😀

Bos Devilles, had my 140mm Devilles since xmas eve, have clocked up a fair few miles on mine, they are stunning, very plush, ride high in the travel and eat rocks/roots

OOPS,just looked at the question again 😳 I have it the wrong way around.
It may or may not be any good,You would need to remove all the air or remove the spring and do a full compression test by gently pushing the bike down, making sure that nothing hits,eg wheel on seatpost, swingarm hitting on the frame etc.

    nicolaisam

You would have less rear wheel travel,Other than that nothing, same overall length, shorter stroke

Try releasing the negative air, just leaving positive. As above, could have a travel reducer kit fitted.

When releasing the negative, turn the bike upside down and leave it a while, this will stop it blowing any oil from the negative chamber.it is meant to have some oil in there.

Are they dual airs,Could be running high negative in one set, drags the fork travel down.

Release the air from the negative chamber, this will give you what travel they are.

My mate lives in the North Island but was there last week, stayed about 50m away from the Cathedral. 😯

A 200×50 and a 200×57 are the same shock, the 50mm version has a travel reducer fitted, its a small spacer that fits underneath the spring retainer.

I might have one for sale in a few weeks(3 or 4) i have the travel reducer for it aswell.I wont have any springs,it is running at 57 at the moment.

I had a Pushed DHX coil on my Nicolai Fr,i then changed it to a CCDB,i wouldnt go back to the pushed dhx ever. The CCDB has no initial stiction and is buttery smooth,It takes a bit of fiddling to get it right and you need to know what you want.

    nicolaisam

All CCDB’s can be adjusted to suit nearly any bike.
There are options to have them custom tuned, but i have never felt the need,They are stunning, very smooth, and have no stiction.

    What size are you after?
