I have had a King BB in my bike since Febuary.
I have the grease tool and find that you need to grease them every few months.

Mine is still smooth as silk.

I would get them serviced and custom tuned.

Will be fine,Just hope there is no corrosion on the stanchions, where the sealsbushings have rested.

I think its exactly the same as Revs.
Mine are 11 months old,and are still excellent.

I think the RP3 has a different damping system to the RP23.
Loco will sort it i am sure.

My mate had a Dt swiss can on his carbon Trek a few years ago.
It my opinion it was the worst shock i had ever ridden,The damping felt very basic, seemed to rely on friction of the seals to control it.
The main problem was setting the air pressure, couldnt find a setting that would be a comprimise,to stop it blowing through the travel it was to hard,to get a good suspension movement it bottomed out all the time.
I have had a few Nicolais and have one still now(FR,AC,ION),I originally had my AC running a Monarch,it was the tune that Nicolai reccomended and i didnt like it.felt dead and dull.
I am now using a CCDB coil, its heavy, but it works amazingly.
For you i would get a Monarch plus tuned to your weight and bike.Or an RP23 custom tuned.

Dynamat and Stinger roadkill are excellent sound deadening.Quite expensive but its the best you can get.
Damplifier pro and Vibe Antivibe work well.

Have fitted plenty of it.I used to fit Car audio and always sound deadened all door skins boots floors and tailgates/doors.

There are also some liquid style ones that paint on,havent used any of these.will be good for weird shaped panel or dificult to reach places

Not being funny, but are you turning it the correct way.Turn the Lockring tool opposite way to the freehub engages.

Chainwhipis only needed to undo it.

I brought a Spcialized FSR XC,brand new 2010 model.Had it for a few months.Couldnt get used to it.Felt twitch and unstable on descents.

    I brought what i needed,An all day/xc/Trail bike.
    Nicolai AC,Bos Devilles(140mm) and a CCDB.2×10 X0,X0 brakes.XX cassette.Mavic Sx wheels.

Made a very good decision.Love riding it.

Never ridden a Nomad, but think i would look at a Nicolai AM as an alternative to the Nomad.

    I also have a Nicolai FR,as a play bike

I did one for a friend years ago,I masking taped the frame up first and then taped on some opened up drinks cans on top of the masking tape.just where the chuck will be and where the drill bit could touch when it comes through.

It only takes a few minutes but will stop any unsightly damage

Did mine once, about 6 years ago,was in agony, did a few more things to my body at the same time.
It took months to get better,I thought i had broken my ribs, but the x-rays said i hadnt, this is when they told me i had the same as you,It is very painfull, but does get better in time.
I did mine on a 6ft wooden drop, was a slow drop and i went to wheelie drop and the rear wheel span on the wood,i nose dived off and basically folded myself in half on landing,i felt something in my rib cage letting go.It was painfull enough to put tears in my eyes.and hurts to cough and breath, just make sure you dont sneeze,Its not good and very painfull.

Will probably be able to give you a guided ride around the Redruth,Carn brea,Carn marth and Poldice area at the weekend.

I move my body position forward slightly and gently pull up a bit,you only need to pull up to keep the bike level to the landing,so this means its a very light pull.

Drove to a riding spot that was good last year, ruined by motox bikes, singletrack is now 20ft wide and covered in ruts,no berms,no jumps and no steep technical, rode there for an hour, was bored and then went to my usual play area and had a very good time, dry and dusty=fun

I had a Nicolai ION-st,that seemed to pedal very well, used to ride it to my local hill, its 3 miles each way.rode it to my local woods and did a 12 mile loop on it.weighed 40lbs had fox 40’s and 230mm of rear travel.
