Had an ingrowing toenail about 15 years ago, tryed all the usual stuff, went to the doctors and they removed it under local.

When it grew back did exactly the same thing.

In the end i had it removed and nail bed killed off,was done in hospital, and was a bit sore for a while.

is still quite sensitive where the nail used to be

2nd Ride on the Stache today, seems very playful, rolls well, seemed to like the nasty rocky and mussy tracks i took it on.

I have a Nicolai AC aswell,so the Stache is a 2nd bike,I like it,was great fun,and worked my legs as i had become used to full suspension.
Picking lines and setting myself up soon came back..

TLR-Had issues with the 1st Pinion, was sorted very quickly, have 200 miles on it since then.

Now about XX1,My mate has the same bike as me but without the Pinion,he is running the XX1 on his and i have done about 5 miles on it,Things i noticed,Massive gaps between gears,After running my Pinion its very very slow to change gear.
I found lots of times where you felt that you needed and inbetween gear to keep your Cadence at a nice level.

I have been out more times this year than any other.

I am enjoying riding at the moment and my fitness is improving, and have been eating slightly better food, have managed to lose just over 1st in 2 months aswell,so i think me riding what ever the weather/conditions is helping.

Yesterday was an interesting ride had Rain/sleet/Snow/Hail stones and thunder in 1 ride and was very cold and wet.Still enjoyed it though.

Have just brought a 29er Hardtail aswell so will be honing my skills and keeping up with my riding on that.

Its not too bad,it somes with everything needed except a chain and single speed spacer kit.

So works out about the same as X0 or xtr.

    My Pinion AC

I have about 250 miles on mine now.

Twist grip shift is very easy to use.

The Pinion works out heavier as the Gearbox unit is heavier than 2×10.

    As TLR has already replied.

Had my last one for nearly 3 years, replaced the lower main pivot about 2 months ago.

Very stiff frames amd the finish is amazing, perfect welds.

Newer frame suits me even better, Longer TT and slacker HA makes it even more fun,Very playfull and fun to ride.

    This is my 5th Nicolai.

My 650b Pinion AC is 31.5lbs,My mate also has one running XX1 and that is 27lbs.Both are running Reverbs aswell.

Have just sold my Devilles 140 trc.
    New bike has 2013 Revelation RCT3 15mm tapered,Solo air

Loved the Devilles, super smooth, amazing control and stiff.

New Revs seem to be more active(small bumo) and seem to stay high in the travel.Only thing they seem to lack is the stifness of the Bos.Not much in it.
I am very impressed with the Revs,a lot better than the dual airs i had a few years ago.

Thought i would miss the Deviles but seem to like the way the Revs ride.
Switching to the Mid position on the RCT3 dial makes them feel like they have the same damping as Devilles, reduces small bump but makes them ride very well in all aplications.

    😀

Can sometimes use a Concrete Fixing expanding bolt,if you can find one the correct size.

Wondering if theres a seal rolling rather than sliding.

Have you tryed sitting the bike upside down for a few hours, allowing the oil to run down to the bushings/sponges?

I ride with a few people that seem to think that riding with 1 gel and a bottle of water is well equipped.

we went out riding on the Thursday, one managed to pinch flat his tube, lent him my spare tube.
Next ride on the Sunday,Other mate gets a puncture, good size cut in tyre and through tube,I was then asked if i had a spare tube,I said i have, then remembered i had gave it to my other mate on the last ride.. 😀

So he had to phone his wife to collect him,me and my other mate continued riding,he then managed to get another puncture,he had to phone to get picked up.

the best bit next time they we were out they still didnt have any spare tubes/repair kit or pump on them.I give up.
