SirHC It was one of the few options I could get away with without paying extra. Choice on paint? £500 so white it is.

ElVino I’ve not tried but if you take one you may as well take 2 off.

Patience is indeed a virtue but company car tax is a bitch. The difference between a 320i and 330e was getting silly. Same engine. One with a duracell battery and a damn site less tax.

Pedals to Mondeo love to orientation of threads to car tax on one page. Nice.

Company car so no option at the moment. Could have got an estate but it was a 12 week wait.

I’d miss the BM I think. I’ll have a look around for some reviews on those pedals. Cheers for the help.

The pedals need to be taken off. The car is a 330e so the boot floor is higher and the bike won’t fit in with the pedals on.

DezB Have you tried these pedals? They look ok but zero reviews.

I bought these last year for £18 each. They are now £8. They work as well as superstar/uberbike or disco.

It should be noted that the KFC coffee cup also makes a fine receptacle for a thermal mug but Mrs thegreek keeps banning me from going there “for my own good” I have to push the MCD’s cup holder again as doing a grand job.
Anyone tried a costa cup? A tad expensive way to get around the problem though.

Use an empty Mcdonalds coffee cup in the cup holder, then put your Bodum in that. Works in a Skoda where the cup holders are too small for a thermal mug.

I’ve got rid of 2 nukeproof’s mtb’s and run a Levo and a 29er full suss now. The ebike is used most of the time because its fun to use everytime.

Ton, if you are local to Earby you are welcome to try it out. Size XL.

I’ve got a specialized Levo. I think the problem with people burning through chains is the fact you strain the chain a lot more by using a harder gear when climbing. Use the gears like a non electric mtb and the chain should last just as long as a normal bike.

I could be wrong. I am not a trained ebike tester, but it does seem easy to rely on the motor and launch yourself up a climb in a gear you would never use on a normal bike.

One. Change it when it needs it. And on that day the bike gets something shiny and new.

Well for short trips I ordered a Dakine pickup pad from Biketart (great service and quick delivery) which works fantastic aside from covering the reversing sensors/camera. I think in the short term i’ll have to resort to stripping the bike down to get it in the rear cab. Cheers for all the help and ideas folks.

I’ve tried the bike on its side with the front wheel facing up but the bike is still past the tailgate. I work south and live north so I do tend to transport my bikes a lot and I thought there may be an option so I can leave the bike in the truck with it being safe(ish).

I don’t use the rear seats so I might have a look at taking them out temporarily.

I’ve got the c220d Estate sport as a company car on a 16 plate. There’s not much you can say other than it does what it says on the tin. It’s quick, comfy and pretty quiet. The only bugbear with it is the left footrest is too small, it’s a big silver box with no character (my last car was a golf gtd – bags of fun and character) and there is no right foot rest which on long trips is missed.
Other than that its a good car.

    I miss my golf.

Thanks for the help. I’ll have a look this weekend.
They might be a tad overdue a service but as my N+1 compulsion has gone a bit haywire i’m now up to 6 bikes so servicing them takes most of the weekend.

I’ll be riding in Brighton on Wednesday night and heading back to Earby on Thursday at 12 ish. I can head up via the M1 if you are able to meet around junction 25 or 26.
I’m in an estate that does take 2 bikes with the wheels off.
