We’ve had 2 VTechs. Neither lasted more than a couple of months before the software started to freeze up and the mode selector knob became unresponsive.

Never had a problem with either of the 2 Vtech’s and had them well over a year now. Must have been unlucky as they’re pretty bomb proof.

I fancy something to play on for a bit longer. Angry Birds great for a pick up and play game but can’t play it for too long as it gets a bit boring. I used to like the Monkey Island games so I’ll give it a go – not like it’s expensive either.

What’s Broken Sword like then? Fancy a game other than Angry Birds (Star Wars one’s fune) on my Galaxy S3!

As recommended above – Vtech is the way to go.

I have 2 daughers, 5 and 7 and they both love the Vtech cameras we bought them when they were 4 and still use them now – more importantly they are really robust and have survived a few knocks, bounces down the stairs etc.

I personally wouldn’t buy anything less robust for a 3 yr old as accidents will happen and a broken camera will mean a sad little 3 y.o!

Same thing happened to my jacket so I got it fixed for £3, good as new, at local dressmaker – I don’t think Superdry will offer any help 12 months down the line.

@spacemonkey – It’s just my poor photo taking skills as I can assure you there is no ‘ding’ see pics 2 and 3 of same edge and you will see. I don’t mind if you don’t want it, but honesty is one thing I can assure you of so take my word for it :)

As said above, if you don’t get it you probably never will. As with most anglers, I started at an early age when my Dad took me along. At first I was like ‘bored now can we go home’ until I caught my first carp, the next I was ‘when can we go again dad?’ I then joined a junior fishing club and fished matches – 20 years on I still match fish for money at weekends when time permits. I won just under a £1k last season in winnings*

*I possibly spent a good part of this in the first place on tackle, bait etc. needed to win, but still :)

motivforz – link doesn’t work but I suspect its what I’m after. As you say its only to get the worst off before loading it in the car – I’ll give it a proper wash back home.

Also got a Micra, but the Squirt gets a lot more use because of the pliers…

Does that mean you could be tempted to part with the Micra? If its in decent nic and you would consider selling it my emails in profile :D

Interesting…..I like the idea of a keychain tool as I’m more likely to use it if its with me most of the time whereas something like the Wingman is more of a hassle to carry around.

Shame they discontinued the Micra, will have to try and find one second hand!

lemonysam – thanks for your reply, can you tell me what it is about the Micra that makes it better in your opinion? Might be worth me hunting one out second hand.

On a side note is the Wingman any good?

Been Mayrhofen twice, great apres ski as they say, Dutch and Germans galore. Decent boarding too and glacier if the snow fall is poor on main slopes.
