Saw this a few weeks ago and was considering an impulse buy, but just couldn't make my mind up.

Then I changed my mind and veered of towards the CAAD 9 (it gets awesome reviews like other people have suggested here). It's a top-end frame and I wanted some of it 😉

In the end I brought neither. Putting my money towards a RoadRat instead I reckon, need something to cope with the commute this winter 😉

In anycase it's still a bargain. The model-b wheels are good too. I've got some and they are lovely 'n light, though the freehub is bloody noisy 🙂

I love the Red Arrows, always have since a kid! 🙂

Send them over to Afghan, and they can do a few loop the loops and mix it up a bit 😉

I don't know much about road bikes, but love the look of all the LeMond frames.

Been trying to see where I can buy them but it seems they don't make them anymore? 🙁

I went to the docs for headaches a couple of years ago and they took my BP.

The headaches went away but they concerned about my BP (around 165/90).

I had it checked a few times over a period of a few weeks and it was consistently high at the docs.

I was a bit peeved off so brought a recommended BP monitor at home, and voilà, it's always around 120/80.

The final time I went to the docs it was a bit better, but not as low as what I get doing it myself at home.

I put it down to nerves (so did the nurse) 🙂

I don't see much wrong if your MD is your next point of call.

Glad I don't work for your line manager, sounds like a bit of a twunt with his hissy fit.

Banana is alright, but triberry taste a lot better I think.

I wouldn't mind trying cola but they've always been sold out at wiggle when I've purchased a batch!

I do it a lot. Dentist recommended I get a mouth guard, although he wanted to charge me £250 for it, so I said no. Don't see why a normal sports mouth guard wouldn't do the job for a few quid 🙂

Dunno why they drag it out so long. Just take a pop at his hand, he'll drop the gun, then they can bundle him.

Not saturday, but got tickets for sunday 😀

First time for me, so not sure what the best time to get there is. As early as you can manage I guess, even more so if you've just got general admission so you can bag yourself a good spot.

    These.

I've gone through 3 pairs of of cx300, the wires are fairly flimsy.

Got these instead. IMO these sound quite a bit better, cancel any outside nose *way* better, and the wires are tougher.

I've had a couple weeks of good commuting until some class A tw*t walked out in front of me today without looking. meh.

Just started commuting into London over the past couple of weeks too. I love it and should have done it years ago! It's really quite a life changing thing for me as I rarely get out on the MTB these days, now I get 2 hrs biking each day on me commute – I actually want to get up and head out to work each day now 8)

I don't really agree with the whole red light jumping thing though. Most of people I see (so far) are stopping at them. Quite a few of those that jump them end up looking like idiots half way across the junction as they try to navigate through it, waiting for a gap. More often than not they get overtaken by those that do stop seconds later 😆

Same, think this is 3rd since new year. Had one a few weeks ago which seemed to go away, then I got another one (or the same one) last Monday, and it's still not cleared up! I only ever seem to get proper man-colds these days.

Admittedly I don't eat enough veg, so maybe it's my own fault 🙂

    Just found this today, http://www.endomondo.com

I guess it's like MyTracks, the website looks pretty snazzy though.

    Otherstuff I use

    Bloo – Facebook stuff
A Online Radio – Streaming shoutcast/mp3 stuff for music
UK National Rail – Lookup train times and the like
Meebo – MSN chat and other protocols
Top – Show a process list of whats running. If an app looks broken or is taking up high CPU, I might kill it with 'TasKiller', but rarely bother using this now.

I also use a few widgets to quickly enable/disable gps,wifi,mobile-internet.

My favourite app out of all of these is Maverick. It's a mapping app but you can interchange between google/bing/open-street map. It also has a cool indicator to tell you which direction you're facing (afaik google maps doesn't, so you have to find landmarks or street-names to you get your orientation).

Hi Jojo, I don't have this problem myself, but this is a good forum for the Hero – this post looks similar to yours.

    http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=541105

There seems to be a few suggestions

    1) Use 'Wifi Fixer' from the market which automatically reconnects. I couldn't find this on the market, only the old version which isn't what you want…

    2) Play around with some router settings. What router have you got?

Try this, or see if there's a similar setting on your router admin page.

"turning on the WiFi "Mixed-Mode" with B/G Mode together solved the issue."

Basically it suggests the problem is perhaps with the router, and I tend to agree with this.

I run a Hero with the 1.5 fireware which is what most people will be using unless they fiddle with their phone and root it. I've never had any problems connecting to a variety of wifi networks, which suggests the problem is more likely with your router (somewhere!).

I've had a 3 ankle sprains playing badminton – the ones where you hear a dodgy tearing / clicking noise, followed by a ton of pain 🙂

You will be lucky if its better in two weeks – you could be looking at at months depending on how bad it is. You really have to be careful in the future with your ankle now as it's probably weakened, which makes it more likely to happen again causing further damage and sadness 🙂

Perhaps worth getting a second opinion. I had mine xray'd and one thought they could see a slight break, but she was basically overruled by someone more senior. It's still not 'right', and I did the last one about a year ago.

Using the hero here. It's my first smartphone and I do love it, but some bits do niggle me.

    Camera has no flash

Dialler is a bit annoying as I keep accidently calling people

Sometimes lags, but generally not that bad

Android is being developed quite fast, but phone companies seem quite slow in getting the updates through to the users, if at all. I'm not really willing to root the phone just so I can get the latest version

    Overall though its brilliant!

Get the Nexus if you can, else the Motorola Droid, else the HTC Hero 🙂

I have the Hero, and it's good, but the Nexus is better 🙂

I have an Android powered Hero and I think it's just about the best phone i've ever owned

    Ditto, almost.

The camera is let down by the lack of flash, but other than that it's schweet.

Worth waiting a while though, then you can get your hands on one of the new HTC phones.

Maybe you could try some mixed martial arts classes. Get todo a bit of everything – striking, grappling, submissions etc 🙂
