The X fusion I saw for £80 was on the bay.

I’ll let a few more moths out and get hold of a Cane Creek, I think

Thank you everyone. I’ve emailed Marin. I’ll see what they say.

How on earth do I find out if something is the right tune? (Rear shocks are something of a novelty to me. I shall Google.)

Why are we still being asked what Mark is going to be drinking on Christmas day as well?

You mention that “you make scales cry” and “rider + bike = small horse”, I really don’t think 70psi is enough pressure on a road tubeless tyre for someone of your presumed mass.

The Mavic calculator comes out at 73 psi so maybe I’m lighter than I think 😉

I think we should perhaps also try to move from using ‘cyclist’ to ‘person riding a bicycle’ when reporting collisions etc, as the term ‘cyclist’ whilst accurate and correct, brings with it a level of dehumanisation, which isn’t helpful in reminding readers that the squishy thing that got squished was supposed to be making the kids tea tonight.

I’ve got an all grain pilsner just bottle conditioning, and there’s a hopback summer lightning clone about to go on.

After that, who knows? A preposterous IPA using a pound of hops for a 5 gallon batch perhaps.

Buy one of these and pop it up alongside?

Lad* on the school bus one morning called out

    ‘Hey lads. Listen to this’

    And promptly shatted his pants.

*Wasn’t me. I’d be honest enough to own up.

Thanks to all who pointed me towards TF Tuned. Very helpful indeed, a kit of everything I need to refresh the fork turning up tomorrow.

My employer is registered with cyclescheme, but amI right in thinking that I can speak to them and if I can get them to agree to the GCI then it’s all systems go?

I’d thought that too. There’s no real way to get onto a Canyon until you’ve handed over the readies, as far as I can tell.

I’ve got a 110 with a bolted in saris trap, works nicely for my QR bikes and in yours, ought to be ok if the boot floor is mdf /ply. Make sure you use big washers.

I had a T16S and I’ve never had anything better. Ever.

Then small people came along and I got a big sensible 95 estate. Everything I had since including a relentlessly derided VW Touran put is so firmly in the shade that its just not funny.

I’ve never had a car like the 900 for a ‘put your foot down, and have the odd experience of an invisible piece of elastic being stretched out ahead of you before dragging you off towards the horizon’ feeling.

Everything modern is just so instant by comparison, but I probably spend several hours a month looking for a good 900 Ruby, but even they’re over 25 years old now and a bit of a leap of faith for a daily driver.

    Cheers all.

I’m going to try rolling the dent out myself. The paint’s screwed anyway and it was getting close to needing a respray.

Anyone know where I can get the blocks from?

    Thanks

So it appears I’m overthinking it a little bit.

I shall continue to ride it, as riding it makes me happy.
