I had my FiveTen Access shoes resoled at a local cobblers. It cost £30 and they used a Vibram branded sole that looks and feels very similar to the original. Great shoes, I’m also interested in good alternatives for when they wear out.

I had a pair of 5 ten approach shoes re-soled at my local cobblers. They used a spotty Vibram sole and they are definitely at least as sticky as the original soles.

I think it cost about £35

This stuff is surprisingly easy to work with, you can cut it with a hand saw if you want to. Drill holes in the corners (6mm or more) and go at is slowly with the jig saw. The edges will be covered by the overlap on the hob so it doesn’t need to be perfect.

This happened to mine. It was caused by air in the damper which meant the bladder expanded to much until it was constrained by the stantion limiting it’s travel. I bought a bleed kit and bled it (without dismantling it and changing any seals) it hasn’t happened again yet with a years heavy use.

I had some nice plywood left over from converting my van so I made a tool chest for all my biking tools. I’m pretty happy with it, I love the smooth action of the drawer sliders and the magnets on the lid are useful.

Pretty happy with my Alpkit Quark. Plenty bright enough and usb rechargeable.

I just went and checked mine. Looks like a 3-4mm gap. Offset bushes?

I flipped a Superstar ring to get another few months out of it. Seemed to work well, I’ll be doing the same when my current one wears out.

You won’t die. Keep out of the wind and keep your clothes on so you don’t freeze when you get up for a piss.

I second the 100% Brisker gloves. They are not intended for sub zero temperatures but much warmer than summer gloves.

I keep my phone (Experia z3 compact) in an Aquapack whilst kayaking and I find the touch screen works no problem.

“Adventure bikes”! I also use my fs mountain bike but I haven’t been able to strap enough stuff to it to avoid wearing a backpack.

Mine did this. Some air had made its way in to the damper so the bladder was expanding to much and pressing against the sides of the stanchion. I bled the damper and it has been fine. I suppose if it does it again I will service the damper with new seals.

I cant get more than four months out of a shimano BB in the winter. And that’s with me popping the seals off to re grease a few times as well.

External BB’s are just so exposed with not much room for good seals. Does anyone make a BB with grease nipples?

My CCDB Inline does this for the first 5mm of its stroke. I was going to ask TF Tuned about it but I can’t feel it when riding the bike so I didn’t bother.

Contact Dave at Velo-Smith[/url] he has built a few sets of Lightbicycle wheels and has ordered a pallet load of carbon rims from a similar manufacturer.

If you are lucky you will see some black bears, but they won’t want to eat you!

Mine were like that when I pumped them up way to hard once. I went for a hard ride and they fixed themselves.

Mine were the 26 inch wide enduro rims (not hookless) and yes I messed up a bit and slammed the rim in to a granite edge. I think an aluminium rim would have dented with the same impact but you can bend ali back.

I have only ridden them a hand full of times so I’m a bit gutted.

Little bash guard to stop me bending my chainring.

It took over two months but they arrived!

So far so good, Crest weight with Flow width.

I just tracked my rims (which I ordered At the end of January) and they have been handed over to customs in San Fransisco! I checked the address I gave them and it deffinitly said United Kingdom! Has anyone else had delivery problems?

I had to grind down one of the shock mount bolts to as it was 1/4 of a mm to long. I have also replaced the DU bushings in the shock as they developed play. If it is one of the pivot bearings then keep us posted, I haven’t had to take a look at them yet.

    13.6kg

Size Large, Fox32’s, Crest rims, dropper post, Deore cranks, XT mech and cassette, Superstar bar and stem, V8 peddles, Hope Mono Minis with big rotors.

It feels plenty light but I think I would prefer a wider rim on the back as I have to run high pressures to stop the tyre rolling.

I did this on my Cotic Rocket. Vast improvement now, I don’t know why it had the high volume can on in the first place.

I peddled my a***e off a couple of days ago to beat my mates time on the Haldon red and now I have disappeared from the leader board. Not happy!

I did a couple of laps of Verderers today. Most of the trail was icy but as its so well built with hardly any off camber bits it wasn’t to bad if you kept the speed down. It looks like it may be a bit warmer tomorrow so it may melt by midday.
