I’ve bought most of my bikes second hand. Usually end up talking to the seller about bikes and riding spots and the like. Very quickly becomes obvious they are a mountain biker. I suppose that doesn’t actually stop them also being a scumbag thief but it does seem unlikely. You get a pretty good idea just from the initial email exchange but not always.
I’ve got a brother hl something. Very happy with it. Not used heavily but it just works. Handy to have. We have a couple of print shops a short walk away but I still like to have it on my desk. Can be cheaply refilled with non branded toner and it lasts ages. Not great at photos or blocks of colour, if I need something nice I’ll use the print shop, but for most things it’s fine
I’ve never really valued surveys. So many caveats and things not checked that they can be worthless. Someone who knows what they are looking at can point out the big issues fairly easily and most things can be dealt with.
Not much you can do. Delivery is your responsibility but arranging a redelivery or getting it redirected is up to the recipient. If they do nothing it’ll eventually come back to you. Whatever you do eBay will likely side with the buyer anyway so refund, wait for it to come back and relist it. If it doesn’t come back make a claim with Royal Mail
The Lego store is in a shopping centre with a load of chainy places. Fine if you like that sort of thing. For something a bit more interesting there are some lovely places in St Nicholas Market or Dareshack on the way there is nice. Might be a bit far though. Another option is Sparks which is an eco department store in the old M&S store. Has some quirky shops and art pieces and a coffee shop. There’s also the Phoenix pub very close too if you’d rather do that.
Funnily enough I saw my first proper mountain bike, a steel framed Saracen from 1990, at a bike jumble recently. It was interesting to see but no interest from me to buy it. Heavy, poor geometry, old standards. No use for riding, even as a pub bike. While it got me into riding it wasn’t anything special.
It can be hit and miss. They are usually ok but there are a few bad ones. Get your own excess insurance as it’ll be cheaper. As above, check the car and take photos or videos. Not too much to worry about
How hard is it to fit? Maybe a YouTube tutorial then park at Halfords, buy a couple of spanners and have a go. They are usually pretty easy but some can be awkward. Or a mobile mechanic while you are at Castlewellan
Interesting that these are all constituencies where there is another protest/anti-establishment candidate ie SNP, Corbyn, Green, Abbot.
The Greens aren’t a protest vote in Bristol. They are the party that represent what we want. They have already had a good showing in previous elections and have a majority in the council.
I’d say the thing those places have in common is that they are nice places to live. Maybe in a cool/ hipster way. Also all areas that have been a bit run down but are now gentrified
Yes. I think they’d already called it for reform but it was close so Labour asked for a recount. Not really a suprise it did eventually go to reform. There isn’t much practical difference between 4 and 5 seats other than increased chances of a scandal
“Poor Ashworth and Debbonnaire, robbed of their marching down Downing St moment by pesky pro-Palestine activists”
Debbonaire was beaten by the Greens which has a been a process slowly creeping through Bristol for many years. Greens second in several other Bristol seats too
For those that understandably couldn’t bear to watch starts speech, gets heckled, heckler gets ejected, starts speech again, another heckler, another ejection, another restart and yes, another heckler
“Damn those polls giving me false hope of lib dems coming second”
It was always a long shot if you looked at the numbers. That said there are an awful lot of 50/50 predictions in the exit poll so let’s see what happens overnight
Another Southgate master class. Haters gonna hate 🤣 Toney was great when he came on though.
Really felt like we were going flop out without much of a go but a couple of great goals (Slovakia goal was decent too). Another case of doing just enough, barely. The Swiss will be a proper test
It’ll be easy to 3d print. Only question is whether it is up to the job. If it needs to be strong to hold pressure or withstand some heat then you might be better with another method. It’s also quite easy to mill from solid plastic or aluminium. If you could get away with a completely flat part then it could be hand fettled from aluminium or laser cut.
A decent brand like Anker. Also use the phone carefully. Turn it off overnight. Put it in aeroplane mode when you don’t need calling and data. Preload maps so you can go longer without data.
Anybody who thinks they are immune to it is fooling themselves. Possibly if they are that easily fooled then they are actually even more susceptible to it ;)
You might not buy the headline products but it will have an effect
FFS guys – a lot of us can be a bit of a pain hammering away at particular points. Hows about stopping the personal attacks?
Or how about those that are a pain hammering away a particular point over and over again stop doing it. Then we can have an actual discussion about what is actually happening and likely to happen.
