a bucket with a lid. every now and again you'll have something that'll have to be soaked out of the fabric that it's in. a bucket with a lid was a great thing that very few people think of, saved us a packet when we soaked the clothes instead of binning them.
nickhartFree Membercan you send me price and pics of the proto baby trout?
ta
nickDOTwendyATbtinternetDOTcomnickhartFree Memberwoodsman for pm.
he's absolutely right though. i've thought about this many times, although the idea of living within catchment is awful to me and i have no wish to teach my kids during the day as well as at home i drive/ride past schools that i could work at and teachers there do the same but in the opposite direction.
yes some skilled super duper people will always be head hunted and therefore have to travel to their place of work but as a general rule of thumb if people didn't commute the country would be in a better state.
also our kids have only had two days off through all of this, we walk them to school as do probably 60percent of parents (gone up these past two weeks and i even heard one parent saying to another that they enjoyed the walk in and they may do it more often!). the head comes from notts as he's an interim head brought in by the council after the last one left !!!! but he's made it into work today and does most days regardless of the weather.
dezB, it'll be something to do with intent to open and keeping the council lea happy, i'm a teacher and to be honest schools great without the kids you can get loads done!nickhartFree Memberi have aa and they've been great so far. i also pay for their insurance scheme which pays the first 500 of a breakdown parts and labour. saved me a fortune when my golfs immobiliser died, the bit in the dash!
nickhartFree Memberwe go about four times a year as we have family down there. cardigan itself is nice and the coast from there all the way down and round the coastal path. to be honest i'd pay the extra and do pembrokeshire. loads of bits and bobs to do and the beaches are really quiet.

boring on the outside. boring on the inside. brilliant bike car, brilliant family car 56 mpg on the motorways 45-50 around town (sheffield). dunno what i'd replace it with, oh yeah shorter than a octavia so easier for parking around town.nickhartFree Membergood effort, simple solution.
good design is intelligence made visible (or something)nickhartFree Membercanon sx1 350 with cash back from canon offer may be over now though so 400. raw compatible if you update the software. incredible zoom range and 0cm macro.
bought one before christmas, piece of p*ss to use and fantastic shots to be had. auto or manual modes and so many functions you'll never miss the dslr.
http://www.jessops.com/online.store/products/75386/show.htmlnickhartFree Membernot being funny but has no-one bothered with the spelling mistake. i seem to think fisting happens darn sarf.
nickhartFree Memberheater matrices are notoriously expensive due in part to their complexity. if you can afford it fix it. radweld may hold for a bit but there is no telling about how it will hold or if it'll do any damage to the heating system.
sorry i know that's not what you want to hear!nickhartFree Memberbought this from comet before christmas and it's brilliant for what we use it for. photos, web, music all the usual
nickhartFree Membermost of rotherham is covered in burberry……..
i likes white, kind of gives me hope for a new start. go on brown **** off!
nickhartFree Memberwasn't it one of those that got ewan and charlie out of trouble a few years ago……..?
nickhartFree Memberi'd go to this website don't go looking for the company on google though!
they do delivery to the uk and their catalogue is free and is worth shelf space for any self respecting man!nickhartFree Memberyes tribal, a bad workman blaming his tools! i just find that it's too flipping automatic, I WANT CONTROL, it's like having a car change gear for you, what's that all about!
nickhartFree Memberregardless of cost or styling etc make sure you can both use it easily. we found a great one, can't remember now it was 8 years ago. did everything brill, sorted we thought. me being anal about these things asked the better half to pick it up with one hand as if she was putting it in the boot of the car with the other hand full. she couldn't lift it high enough even with both arms. we ended up being strict about the tests as though we were knackered (you will be), it was raining (it will be) or you were in a confined space (again you will be, sooner or later).
again on practicality, get one that has options built in like the car seat then cot and then stroller. it'll save you time and money in the long run. go for patterned fabric, it hides the sick and the food stains and also removable covers.
oh, enjoy parenthood it's tops. :lol:nickhartFree Memberi have the flak jackets on my commuter and they're f**king awesome. fit and forget. been on there for at least five years just replaced the inners last year but didn't really need to. glad you found them cos i may have a spare set. as good as full length outers in my opinion!
nickhartFree Memberthe cheshire cheese on the edale road out of hope used to be a nice pub. there's meant to be a really nice eatery on the green in bradwell. also if you can get int he walnut club in hathersage is meant to be very good for food and a bit of jazz on the right nights! if that's your thing!
nickhartFree Memberthis is funny. genesis is right but i think what he should have said was. llandegla is SHUT, deal with it, go and buy a map and do some exploring while it's SHUT and learn some new routes. you know old skool stylee!
and i seem to think it's the coast guard helicopters that have the winches, last time i was at llandegla it was pretty wet but not coastal!nickhartFree Memberif i can get to the bottom of the drive i'll be happy! which way did you come over, from llangurig or aber?
cheers nostocnickhartFree Membersorry but wtf is an apple tablet? one a day keeps the doctor away?
coat……..going
nickhartFree Memberglad it's going well. i hope the chemo goes ok. are you in a health insurance scheme? if so you an claim back for things like the car parking etc. also try getting referred to macmillan as they have financial support for things like that. i was lucky the weston park is only a bus ride away so that was way more palatable.
i want to do a sponsored swim on new years day down at saundersfoot but my family are saying no. i can understand it as the consultant said there's a connection with physical shock and lymphoma, i did it last year and the times kind of coincide with the start of my lump! going to find a beach and have a paddle though!
have a good new years eve and see what the new year brings.nickhartFree Memberok so i think some will be upset that it's a thread about none biking stuff on the biking forum. tut tut.
to be honest i can't be bothered with the politics.
i've been looking at the same problem and have come to the conclusion that i'm going to wait for a led lcd as they're more environmentally friendly, use less energy, are thinner and can last longer. my dad bought a panasonic and it has a life. a tube style tv will last as long as it lasts but an lcd has an expected life span so that worth checking. i wouldn't go for a plasma as although they're a bit better picture than the lcd they use a stack of power and have a true glass screen which can be damaged. also many of the manufacturers are stopping production as they get damaged in transit and are expensive to produce. i think it's a bit of a beta v vhs going on again.
richer sounds are good but check out comet and john lewis. comet often have discount vouchers online revoo shows some of them. john lewis aren't the cheapest but they do good warranty and customer service.
hope that helps.nickhartFree Memberi have some of these on the front of our touran and drove home last night through the incredible snow that hit sheffield last night.
may look at some of these when it's time to replace the others.
i drive to cardigan four or five times a year and the weather going over the mountains to aber can be interesting to say the least. these tyres have amazing water moving properties and last night were pretty flipping good in the snow.nickhartFree Memberit's great podge it really is but i got bored after line 15. what do you want us to do? i guess a letter showing support. will email do?
if you're wanting some evidence of it helping in pe lessons get in touch with winterhill school as they have a bmx track across the road and it's brought girls and boys on in leaps and bounds in pe lessons. it's amazing. you need evidence of it being good for a wider community and not being a niche thing to do.
i'll help but you need to sum up the above in roughly three paragraphs.nickhartFree Memberi'd second xipe. have a canon a75 which is about 5 years old and it developed a similar fault which developed into a catastrophic failure while at the welsh botanical gardens (a good day out btw).
went online and found that sony had provided the sensors for that camera which had all had a fault on. sent it off to a canon dealer and they fixed it and sent it back free of charge.
works perfectly now.
tops.nickhartFree Memberhey up matt, good effort to build the wheels up and getting them photo'd. it's a great looking bike. have you done the wheels tubeless? i love my advantages but watch the sidewalls i seem to wear them out quickly. john reckons they do a 1.5 ply which i'd be buying when i'm riding again.
(i'm the hairy one who came in friday afternoon!)nickhartFree Memberdunno about the stove but in my opinion you MUST line the chimney. when we reroofed we took the roof off near the chimney and found it all blacken from the previous fire. there had been a crack in the brick work and i dread to think what would have happened if a spark or ember had got into the roof an caught. not worth thinking about, get it lined.
nickhartFree Memberi bought one of these toshiba L500 recently and have been very happy with it. the only thing that's not been much good is the built in webcam but there we go. i got a discount code from revoo and it ended up being 350! they also do microsoft office for 69 quid if you're buying a computer with windows 7 on.
windows 7 seems to be pretty good so far.nickhartFree Memberit's garbage in my opinion. steve should be there for the win and the amount he does for local charity and young up and coming riders. wiggins should be there for the best result an englishman has had for years, yes what's his face won some stages and there's no denying the incredible effort that that must have taken but……..
nickhartFree Memberif you buy one of those big things, er what they called, er oh yeah a map and look for wiggly lines that cross the contour lines then you'll have some fun. seem to remember that was how i found some trails and my friends found more.
or, and it's a big or, get out there and look for them. it's like an adventure……. :wink:nickhartFree Membervredestein ultrac or sportrac. they wear well and are amazing on welsh mountain roads. shed water like quicker than an endura jacket….. they're on my touran and i bought them specifically for the trip to wales which we do about four or five times a year. very little motorway mileage, but great around sheffield commuting and around the peaks pratting about.
nickhartFree Memberlike i've said before the drugs and treatment affects everyone differently and even though i've had chemo it's highly unlikely that it'll be the same mix of drugs that you've got coursing through you. but, having said that one of the side effects was that sensation could/would be lost in the ends of my toes or my fingers but could/should return. i was lucky in that although i had some tingling in my toes the fingers have stayed good so far. kind of important for a d+t teacher.
as for getting through chemo i stayed relaxed and looked at it along the lines that i have to listen to my body. if i felt good i did stuff if i was tired then i slept. but i made sure that i never slept after 4 in the afternoon as it messed my night up completely and i think if you loose the routine of the night then you're b*ggered. plus going to bed with your new wife is massively important as you'll, if you're like me, talk through the day or through things that are sat in your mind that you don't always want to say with the lights on facing each other. the vicar that married us said that we should never go to sleep angry, always resolve it before going to sleep. it's helped me so much through my journey, which is far from over, settling my mind has helped me maintain my sleep patterns.
the whole process is a massive roller coaster over which you have little control. hold tight to meg and get on for the ride. savour the ups and don't dwell on the downs. easy for me to say i can hear people muttering but going through it i think allows me some insight.
like i've said before if you want to get in touch do.
cheers, congratulations on the wedding too.
nicknickhartFree Membera massive best wishes for tomorrow. have your cake and eat it….! make love, it's more comfortable than having sex!
nickhartFree Memberone from the wifes work Lol as in short for lawrence a long time ago but now given to a girl and from the text, laugh out loud.
one from a place i used to work a girl called Ndel. when asked it turned out that her mum wanted to call her after the midwife that delivered her. looking at the charts on the end of her bed she saw Ndel. thought it different and chose it. Ndel stands for normal delivery…….!
