Also in american, they have those silly column shifters for a gear stick on autos if it had one that is.

i havent read the report but maybe he called the police to clear the road ahead so he didnt cause a accident like he might of by just spinning the car out.

Also hard to just pull handbrake on as it will rip the shoes off or just wear down the pad material like the fronts or snap cables but mostly it may have the park function on the colum shift again.

Autos will never go into park whilst moving, none that i have seen anyhow..

p.s there is a guy here who is paid to go riding with people to get action shots when riding for them. he jumps off snaps away then carrys on then does the same again and earns not a great deal but most of the week now hes busy so like 30 euro per ride x2 day earns him a little pocket money,

my bro does this with his tips from a bar, every month he sees about £100 in just 50p here 20p there, i was amazed!

yes but they dont last that long, due to taking measurements across 3/4's accross tread.

proxies are worst for it but are great tyres as are f1's but dont last as long as bridgestones.
