Wait, wut? You can't compare something cheap with something more expensive and say it's better value? OK then
says who? both would work out to be the same so it comes tp prefernce to where you want to spend ure £££'s obviously on a bike forum it might be the cinema ;)
Nick_ChristyFree MemberI never pay to park when I ride at Hamsterley, because I ride there. Want to save the £3? Simple – leave the car at home
i think thats what people mean tho, also if you dont pay for the car they dont get anything at all…?? if i understand correctly?
Nick_ChristyFree Memberi currently dont have to pay for parking as i live directly in town and have to pay for lifts instead.. 19 euro for a day card to ride up and down the mountian..(austria)
however in my opinion, i think paying anything more than £2 is pretty much a rip off for parking…
i would personally park a little further away not because im tight either just because i find it a joke tbh.
its public paths, ok they are prepared for the summer, but how much upkeep is needed to make during the year 1 time 2 times 3 times in a year and what are you paying for?? the people to do it or materials? i personally dont no anyting about it so cant comment on the upkeep but i see it that if it doesnt happen then you will still be able to ride them? just a little more rough and reddy??
i used to live about 15 mile away from aston hill and refused to pay the obscene charges!!
you cant compare the prices to cinema etc because they are more expensive!
£6.50 for an adult in cinema in MK and have to pay to park also so thats now £8 you grab a drink like you would do in the cafe of a trail then its £10 ish… thats why people get pissed with paying trail prices.. if they said you pay £2 to enter the trails or walks etc. not the car park everyone would have to pay? and dont think many people would grumble with that too much inc me.
year cards are a good idea but not alot of info are about. if they made abit more publicity, i think alot of people would take it up especially for £20 type thing, or £5 direct debit per month or a monthly payment with paypal type thing.
well shoot me now lol
Nick_ChristyFree Memberi wouldnt even no where to start to check my bike, i get on it and if its all feels ok i carry on…
so if i walk into a bike shop and ask them to bleed my brakes and i then drive down the big hill out side it and brake then smash into a car. thats my fault for not checking if they had air in them?? because i need to check them in the shop after?? ;)
as i posted before… BIKE SHOP MAN YOU SUCK!!!
Nick_ChristyFree Membernever! the mechanics fault 100%!
the rider might have no idea about bikes, went in to fix a puncture and come out and the bikes has now broken after not installing a wheel properly.
if i had done that on someones car and put only 2 wheel bolts back in loosely, im pretty sure if you crashed or wheel fell off youd come running or limping back!
my dad had a puncture other day, walked the bike back home and took it to the lbs who sorted it for him. he hasnt got a clue about the bike mechanically so took it to someone who does. he pays them to fix it and give it back in a safe condition not just bash it back together cos hes late for corry!
thats piss poor im sorry
Nick_ChristyFree Memberi ride only alps rides living in Innsbruck
i run a 180mm fr and 160 rr and i will be going to a 203fr and 180rr as i find things do get a little hot but i have never had brake fade on a decent of 25 mins i will be changing purely for a little more power. im running magura julies which are cheaper end of the xt's so i think they should be ok.
just my opinion tho ;)
Nick_ChristyFree Memberim living in austria with my austrian gf… can help both speaking perfect obviously

Nick_ChristyFree Memberhmm good question the shocks are •RockShox Tora 302, 120mm suspension…

Nick_ChristyFree Memberi bought my bike from them, ordered at 3pm and it came the next day!

Nick_ChristyFree Memberi livin in the alps so i do freeride and xc bits of dh
decisions decisions…
Nick_ChristyFree Membersolarider where are you in austria?
i live in innsbruck, do you ride nordkette or only bike parks?
Nick_ChristyFree Memberyou cant see the chips in the tech data.
if you get a proper one like superchips are real good we used to use them alot.
dont mention anything when servicing and noone will be any other the wiser ;)
Nick_ChristyFree Memberlol haha couldnt actually give a poo tbh… i like practising buny hops ;) its where the funs at, although people do get in the way sometimes..
puh i have to brake!
Nick_ChristyFree Memberwhat wrong with riding on pavements? i only ever ride on pavements… :(
i practise bunny hops over drains lol hehe
Nick_ChristyFree Membernot just myself others also, being the unselfish type ;)
dont you think it would make more sence to go to stamps rather than havng to put the car into a car park and then paying for 30 min ticket for 5 mins?
i also think its dangerous when people put there bikes chained to signed posts and lampost and leave them hangin on the floor or up against shop windows making my area look like a sh!t hole but i dont moan about it, i walk or ride around it instead..??
Nick_ChristyFree MemberSo you think it is perfectly acceptable for you to inconvenience others to avoid a bit of inconvenience to yourself. How selfish
is it really? not unreasonable to go somewhere for 5 mins WIHTOUT having to put and pay for my car into a car park?
think thats a little on the harsh side in my opinion. like i said aslong as its not blocking a road or causing a major distubance apart from the odd cyclist who actually has place because cars would also have to pass by.
i think your bike maybe a little skinner than you think or you have HUGE legs lol haha.
Nick_ChristyFree Memberevery day I have my life made more dangerous and less convenient by illegally parked cars
how is a parked car on the pavement dangerous for you on a bike?
I go thru red lights when it is the safest option for me – never for my convenience. The main reason why it is safer in a couple of places is because of illegally parked cars causing pinch points
thats bull, im sorry. why is it dangerous to stop at a red light? thats a saftey feature with the highway code??? If you drive through a red light with your bike and also a car did BOTH would be need a veichle to slow down or change direction if coming along at the same time.
i think £100 is dear but wont stop people.
i lived in london most my life before moving about a bit (country wise).
Its not the few yards of walking its the pain in the arse when i need to go to sort something for 5 mins and im not talking about oxford street or something, that i can go in and out without having to park a million miles away and paying 30 mins for 5 mins actually needed.
SPEED CAMERAS – HAHA JUST A JOKE!
The UK's most profitable speed camera located at the bottom of the M11 motorway near WOODFORD, ESSEX which is reputed to earn up to £840,000 per week, moving in to take out of action a further 29 speed cameras along the whole 27 mile length of the A406 NORTH CIRCULAR ROAD from CHISWICK in the west to BECKTON in the east side of LONDONso why do they do it…. haha anyone for a holiday?! ;)
AVERAGE SPEED CAMERAS – M1 roadworks, many of times NOONE WORKING THERE!
PARKING FINES – IF YOUR PARKING DANGEROUS FINE, OUTSIDE A LINE **** OFF!all many examples of a bullsh!t reason to rip people of more money to spunk down the drain of a failing economic country.
Nick_ChristyFree Memberwing tsun, i have trained for a few years. its great! you have to practise on each other but its as soft or as hard as you want. i trained with also a big guy and we worked together so real good friends.
we'd both pad up and beat each other where under padding we both were bruised.
but also had other who just pretended so its up to yourselves which i liked.
ju jitsu or brazilian is by far the nicest martial art without looking like your just going at someone with elbows and knees.
Nick_ChristyFree Memberits a toss up between a few bikes but im not sure which to go for cos they are all about £950 for a full sus.
Nick_ChristyFree Memberyes Kona One20 2009 im looking at… any expereice with this one?

nick
Nick_ChristyFree Memberno im not which is a shame…. they have a large and im way to big for that.
noone else here stocks a giant XL as they are not wanted like the s,m,l
im not sure what to do…. all are wanting a deposit to order as they dont want it in stock if not.
argh~!
Nick_ChristyFree Memberdecathlon do one now £35 del ;) looks the same as the above.
Nick_ChristyFree Memberbehave!!! the new a class is great!
its got loads of space in the boot area. ok its not enough for a bike, but you cant fit a bike into a focus either! which btw is probally bigger.
i drove the 1.4 version. its a mercedes with comfort and saftey. its not a rally car. its for people to drive about town in a nice stylish looking car.
compare the focus to the a class for example. both have same outputs really..
personal choice but i thought it was cool
Nick_ChristyFree Membereasyjet are flying to innsbruck. all summer but on thursday and sunday only or something close to that.
from manchester and gatwick i think. maybe worth a small train ride instead of paying LOADS IN EXCESS??
Nick_ChristyFree Memberi have the magura julies and i think they are fantastic. on par with avid xcaler i think in my opinion and half the price!
£100 from merlin i think they were 180mm / 160mm setup
Nick_ChristyFree Memberi bought the black 661 from 2009 from crc… was £35 del and is fantastic.

Nick_ChristyFree Membersounds funny, if you drive be a delivery boy for dominos pizza… i did it for a time when i had no work. they always looking for people. i had no clue where i was going as i just moved to my parents new house. i used a sat nav tom tom. got like £6 / per hour. £1 per delivery in fuel plus tips are yours..
for a typical night you will:
deliver 20 pizzas = £20 fuel money
get £10 tips
plus £6 per hour…not bad for cruising round in your time when probaly watching shite tv instead.
Nick_ChristyFree Membercool and any ideas how i no what type to go for seems to be a few on crc not sure really on what im looking for or at lol haha
Nick_ChristyFree Memberwhats the problem with it? i personally dont see it.
most of you all have a bike and if not then you wont ever buy a bike for £200 anyways!
i think its a good idea they can bring in a cheaper market of bikes for people who cant WASTE[/u] their hard cash on a bike that costs £500+ and to maybe get into riding again or start…. The likes of people riding their orange bikes wont ever need anything from there anyways unless track pumps etc which btw are great value.
common sence tells you when you pay £10 from tesco for a pump or lbs wants £15 where your going. People who say im loyal and go to the lbs, well good for you but i think most people would take the cheaper option unless your totally again the tesco revolution.
If lbs gets 'out muscled' by tesco then tbh i think its a shitty lbs. There is no way i would take my bike to get serviced in tesco and if there is a lbs that costs more than others and are not up to par, i just go to another lbs untill i find one thats both cost effective and more importantly good.
surely its a good thing people will be able to become more active and have an incentive?
planet tesco will always rule untill people stop buying, which lets be honest is NEVER going to happen.
Nick_ChristyFree Memberi ordered black wellgo copies and got silver but emailed them and they sent me out a set of black free of charge and got to keep the silvers ;)
bargain ;)
Nick_ChristyFree Memberi do it because i just enjoy the outdoors… im an active person and dont like to sit about, i do many things not only ride my bike.
i also took a break from being a kid to recently. bought a bike for my birthday and i enjoy it as another reason to get out the house and lose energie…
that is strong saying that biking is your life… thats real dedication if so….
Nick_ChristyFree Memberive got a hardtail and was thinking of something a little more 'beefier' for moutain riding….
Nick_ChristyFree Memberthe reviews on the net are good, few problems with forks dart. but apart from that. all seem very good!!!
argh!!! £350 for a yukon or £950 for a trance x4 lol what to do?
Nick_ChristyFree Memberlol tron do you care if you can get tyres more than half price… you just had good searching skills ;)
