i ride only the alps… im in austria so bike parks and only uplifts no riding up hills ;)

my opinion on it is when you seem to ask a normaly sensible question you get someone thinking their so funny, no doubt actually not really in real life glued himself to his computer thinking his the main man because he knows how to build a bike ;)

but then you get some people who offer great advise, its just a shame you get the ************ along with the forum.

its like any forum though tbh but this one seems the worst for it.

another forum i am on, a few guys act the big i am…. telling people how shit there cars are and how they should be doing it instead. but then you meet these people in real life and they wont say nothing all day even in a pub meet. which i find quite funny as when their home they give it all the chatter about how they think this person looks funny or their cars etc..

i dont see how these people think typing it is more safe than saying it in person~???

what can these orange freeride bikes take for suspension? can they take big front forks like 200mm etc???

after a nasty crash i had 2 weeks ago u bruised ribs and my shouler so i bought one. it arrived yday. it looks strong and sturdy for a full armour.

i had shin/knee already so i needed only the top half.
its great but i think it will be hot.
but i want my ribs and shuolder so if i am hot im hot. atleast i no im safer ;)

why not a lapierre? you can pick them also up for about 1600 and they are a great trail / dh bike.

i thought the same, i live in Austria so i mainly do faster steeper bits so i need a freeride/dh bike… any ideas then? need a fork about 180mm

personally its ok, trails take about 15 seconds max to ride down on the dh bits but its very very sandy as the name states.

just the walking up takes the piss after a few runs

Are you suggesting that people should have a variety of bikes? One for Leith Hill, One for Scotland, One for riding DH tracks? Many people may only be able to afford one decent bike and so they try to strike a balance – without sanctimonious c**t like you starting threads about it on a biking forum simply to feed their own egos.

i personally am happy with my new bike i bought and i go on holiday also instead of buying a £2k bike. so for me its not important or nessasary to spend that much on a bike and after the chat i had with some guys at leith hill i thought i wouldon ask here too…

I don't know what amuses me more. ATGNI posers, or blokes on £600 hardtails who hanker after an expensive bike, but not being able to afford one feel the need to justify why they don't need one.

My £4k 6" travel, carbon framed bike doesn't take me anywhere I haven't been on my £500 HT (which sported some 80mm Manitou Spyders last time it went down Jacobs Ladder). It makes it a damn sight more enjoyable though.

i got a more expensive bike than £600 i was using that as a example of what we were all riding yday when i borrowed the bike from a friend.

so once again im not jealous of the bikes some of you may have.

i personally find it a waste of money from a talentless person but thats not for me to say. its your money etc…. so i wont get into that AGAIN..

o well… atleast we no how some people see their hobby as just a show off or extension of their life style ;) fire ;)
