Valve might be jammed, I had this with the boiler in my last house. I used the valve core out of a MTB inner tube to replace it with and it was ok.

If the system is pressurised you’ll be battling against the pressure of the water when you try and pump it up. Try draining some water out of the system before pumping it up then repressurise.

Crikey. I was surprised how easily they all rolled…

Quite a lot of rear engines RWD cars, once they start to go sideways….

How do you do it? Thinking in particular how you light the shock to ensure it’s consistent every time you look at it – do you take photos too? Do you have a magnifying glass to pick out the small detail you can transfer to the paper?

It’s an amazing artwork and fascinating at the same time.

Also Cley-next-the-sea in North Norfolk. Great skies – walk along Blakeney Point is a must do, loads of holiday rentals, massive bird reserve. Other villages along there probably have a bit more going on, but there are plenty of walks from the door in Cley.

    Thanks, looks interesting…

    Center Parcs?

To be honest, I’d rather stay at home. Hateful places. Sorry.

You are normally better using cheaper oil (to the correct spec) and replacing more often than expensive and changing less often…

The one I could never understand as a kid was Easter Eggs. I used to get one from my parents but my friends would get multiples of them, sometimes 10 or 15 of them. What on earth was going on there? I still only get one and I’m a massive chocoholic.

I did read once the best shave is probably using traditional soap with a proper brush after heating up your face (with a hot cloth or I just shave straight after a shower) then use a modern Mach3 or similar razor. The prep is the key as with most things!!

just buy a double edged safety razor, and blades. Ten blades for £1.50? Get a decent actual razor do £25. Better shave, better for the environment, and a lot cheaper. What’s not to love.

When you have skin issues and moles on your face the Freddy Krueger effect is at the max if you use a “safety” razor.

Mach 3 disposables for me, they don’t slice my moles off.

Not saying you don’t get the water out, you just don’t need to run the motor to do it.

I’m looking at MDF (rebated for cable runs) for a couple of rooms right now. Will ping a link tomo.

Hopefully for speaker cable or Cat5? Please tell me you aren’t putting power cables behind skirting??

But do the opposite, water off and power on, to clear water from the machine before storing if frost/freezing is an issue.

I wouldn’t do that if you can help it, most machines you can disconnect and tip the water out.

Karcher outlet store on internet is well worth a look, very cheap.

I hate to say it but I had a Nilfisk when they were sold in my store as Alto and I wouldn’t have one again. Wasn’t very reliable and was extremely heavy for moving up and down steps.

With any pressure washer make sure you have water running though the machine (turn on water but not machine and pull trigger until water comes through smoothly) before you turn it on. A karcher engineer once told me this and I had their cheapest £50 machine last 13 years before I dropped it down some steps and broke it. All to do with the cooling or lubrication of the motor or something.

If the thought of giving it up for a month fills you with dread or it’s something you think you might find slightly difficult you really need to take a long hard look at yourself! I honestly wouldn’t be fussed if someone said you could never drink again.

After working with MDF and seeing what happens if it gets a breath of damp on it I wouldn’t touch the stuff. I’ve got 107 year old pine skirting I am reusing but matched it with new pine when I needed more.

Plus it doesn’t give people respiratory problem when it’s being cut. Hateful stuff. I’ve used wood a lot and won’t have MDF in my house.

I got this one for Christmas and it’s the same as the Logitech one but without their name on it.

Seems to work really well on my 1990’s Technics amp and stayed connected to my phone from a surprising distance away.

Looks pretty good too (better than the listing indicates I reckon) with a nice blue light on it and is pretty small and unobtrusive, actually has a sticky pad on the bottom of so you could stick it to the side of your amp quite neatly.

I recently got some antibiotics to help with adult acne.
Although I’ve stopped taking them, they have flicked a switch in my botty.

OH MY WORD THATS IT!! I was taking the same thing for the same problem and had the same result!!!

Did you think the increased volume and frequency made up for the loss of smell? I’m still torn on whether it did or not.

There is a satisfaction in parping out a real eye-waterer that I wasn’t getting with the pills.

I consider my ability to “say hello Dr brown” the only true skill I possess. I did go through a few months a while back where none of my trouser shouts smelt at all. I was really concerned, and the simultaneous development of tremendous violent volume did help to make up for it for a while (although my ass was chapped like Sherpa Tensings cheeks) but without smell are you really a man?

Thankfully I soon recovered and to my delight the volume stayed and the stink returned to a new professional level I’m- smells so bad were coming out of me they were thinking of adding my buttock chuffs illegal under the Geneva Convention.

For crying out loud, if you can post in a forum you can sort this out. I despair at some people’s ineptitude nowadays. Same with the bloke with the curtain pole.
How do you even manage to get out of bed?

Definitely support your local shop. We have IQ Games in Huddersfield and they are great, they do a board games night every fortnight which is free and you can use a whole range of their library of games free too.

Plus there prices are the same as the internet mostly too – recently they had a birthday promo with 10% off and it was cheaper than anywhere on the internet.

Apple should ask before doing anything to it.

They do. Unless you accept automatic updates.

I’ll get a ladder so you can get off your high horse.

Thing is, Danish oil is a bit old fashioned now, yes it works but it does change the colour of the worktops a fair bit and it stinks when applying it and for a while afterwards. Osmo top oil is brilliant, it’s crazy easy to apply, can be bought in a Matt finish which we preferred, and is cheaper as well. I’ve got a pretty much full 5l tin of Rustins which I used on our first batch of worktops which had to be sent back and the osmo oil beats it in every way.

Thanks all. I have a crazy low BB on my Pitch pro now anyway so probably won’t notice if it’s a tad lower. My Pitch is so low on the BB it looks like an elderly cat.

    Another sacrifice to…..

I’ve got more hi-fi in the house now I’m married compared to when I was single!

Just bought a technics amp, project turntable and speakers and added a Bluetooth module for the kitchen dining room. Going to upgrade speakers in lounge to floorstanders soon too. Just explained why they were better to my wife and she said yes that makes sense let’s go for it. And it’s cheaper than all that Sonos crap too. ;)

I know a couple of people with Nest who said the learning function didn’t work very well for them. I went for Hive which works pretty well and I wanted the bulbs/plug sockets on the same system too. Might not be for everyone though. My brother has Hive with 3 thermostats as hes got 3 heating zones and I think he’s pleased with it so far.

    I like an actual board.

Me too – Machi koro is brilliant though even though it doesn’t have a board.

Small World is excellent although IMO an example of where the app is actually better than the board game as it makes playing it literally 10x quicker

I played the Carcassone board game on my phone and it made up my mind not to buy it!

I have recently played Powergrid a couple of times and love it, might buy it soon if no-one buys it for me!

I was given Cornwall (the board game, not the county) for Christmas, and Machi Koro which is brilliant.

Got a Days Of Wonder board game off a flea market recently for £4 called Pirates Cove, not played it yet.

Teak or tung oil is the old favourite but I used Osmo oil on my new oak worktops which is easier to use and looks a lot nicer and works better.

Larger rotors will give more power but less modulation / feel.

Complete rubbish. Long lever travel with big rotors gives you so much more control AND power than smaller rotors.

I have 203 front and back, enables me to use rear brake as much as I want without fade. I’d rather have amazing brakes than a few less grams, it really isn’t much difference in weight. I might be imagining it but I think you get a finer control when the rotors are larger too, certainly takes less effort to get to the point of locking too.

I got really annoyed with Prime as it isn’t really obvious when you click on a film that you have to pay extra for it. It always seemed like the ones I wanted to watch all had to be paid extra for, could never find anything free to watch!
