I’m on 20 mg of lansoprazole every day. Was first diagnosed when I used to get awful acid reflux when exercising, running especially, so much so that it was hampering my enjoyment and ability to exercise.
I found gaviscon etc.. didn’t touch the symptoms so mentioned it in passing to the doc, gave me omeprazole at first but it gave me bowel problems (I won’t go further into that) so they put me onto something else (can’t remember the name as it didn’t work at all) and now lansoprazole. I find the rattly tablets work best, must be slow release or something.
Only get reflux now if I forget to take the tablet so keep a pack at work too just in case.
Luckily it works as they mentioned the tube down the throat and I struggle to swallow the tablet as it is!!

What hub is it, one with adjustable cup and cones might have the axle slightly too far out of the hub in the slipping side meaning no matter how tight the skewer, the extra axle will sit against the qr nut and limit how clamped the dropout can be. Have had this once, was a pain in the tits till I remembered I’d rebuilt the shimano hubs shortly before the problem started.
But also, hope qr’s aren’t the best, need quite a force to feel like they are proper tight, much prefer shimano ones.

For 68mm it’s 2 on drive side and 1 on non drive.
For 73mm it’s 1 on the drive side only.

just looking at a groupset for this bike at the moment. Was going to go 1×11 xt but there dont seem to be many deals around at the moment. Have seen 2×11 xt with brakes for 400 quid so am thinking of going down that route.
Has anyone tried to fit a bottom swing front mech (clamp on, band at the top – normal looking mech) onto this? does it fit ok or does the suspension pivots on the seat tube get in the way of the clamp. I prefer the look of the bottom swing mech but would change to a top swing one if i have to!! It’d be a medium frame i’d be fitting it to.
    cheers

so after a couple of hours tangled up in cables and juggling several remotes i’ve found a workaround.
The tv does indeed have amazon and netflix so i logged on with those, now get a nice crisp 4k picture and the tv will output dolby digital to the amp.
DVD goes into amp via HDMI for dolby and then feeds out the amp to the tv with hdmi for HD picture.
Amazon (now pointless except for kodi) 4k box feeds to the splitter one goes to the amp for dolby and the other to the tv for HD picture, will only really use this now for footie and movies.
Bit of a faff but glad ive managed to solve it!

Don’t think the amp has a internet connection. Might see if the tv can get Amazon prime?

    Cougar,
It just displays 1080p, pain in the behind.
Superfli, I’ve been thinking a new box is the way to go. Does that one have Amazon prime, netflix and the capability to instal kodi?

whilst looking around I have seen that sony tv’s are the only ones capable of passing through external signals. I dont understand why companies dont design this into tv’s seems really shortsighted to assume no one plugs sky boxes etc into their tv!

Looking more and more like using our own car. A quick glance at hiring a car big enough for 7 was eye watering!
Good info about the Paris ones, will avoid or do proper research on them, thanks.
What happened to the days of a fortnight in Rhodes with flights for 189 quid!

Ben, mine is missing those plugs at the pivot points as well, need to try and find something that’ll do the job.

If he phones planet x I imagine they will give him the reducer crown race free of charge as the description specifically says 1.5 – 1 1/8 reducer included. They were really helpful when I called them anyway.
Looks like it will fit as well just from pushing the cups against the frame, will have to get it pressed in at some point.

Bentigger, it just came with the 1.5 crown race which isn’t what the web site says but is what I needed. They need to update or clarify that link.
Away at the moment so unable to see if the headset cup will actually fit after all that, fingers crossed again. Frame is really nice though, well worth the 300 I paid, glad I took the punt now.
Hope everyone enjoys building theirs up.

Apparently mine is now shipped so fingers crossed! Phoned them this morning about the fsa dc pro and they said it will fit tapered forks, they must come with both crown races or something. Now to decide on forks!

Bentiggerwyles, looking at the link to the headset now makes me think they’ve added the wrong one to my order as it does say 1.5 to 1 1/8 reducer crown race…hmm..
    Another phone call tomorrow then.

Edit: djflexure, what headset did you put into the frame?

Glad I pushed the button on the frame yesterday, it’s gone up a hundred quid overnight.

I also bought the rock star frame, after seeing a couple of long term test reviews online with positive things to say it was a no brainer for the money.
I wasn’t sure about the headset either so phoned today, for a tapered steerer tube the following will fit.

    http://www.planetx.co.uk/i/q/HSFSDXPT/fsa-dx-pro-tapered-headset-(acb-bearings)

£29.99 so I just got it added to the order.
Just need to find money for forks, wheels, brakes, gears…….

As trail rat said, sounds like leaky pipework, air in the system would result in cold radiators but once at a stable pressure would stay that way. If the radiator you mention is always cold try bleeding it first to eliminate air in it and if its still cold then the leak is probably somewhere at its inlet feed, if it was at the outlet then the radiator would heat but the system would still lose pressure somewhere after it. Could be the leak is under the ground floor but directly above the bare ground so a leak will go unnoticed as its just draining to the ground and not to a wall or floor etc..

looking at your pics your reservoir bit might be in a different place, but check for oil leaking anyway. If it isn’t that maybe the DI2 and non DI2 hoods are different and yours have the hoods mixed up or something.

I have the same levers but in DI2 flavour.
Had the same thing, when I was cycling along the hood felt like they were sliding around under my hands, being hydraulic my first thoughts were oil. If you peel back the hoods you will see a wee rectangular “hatch” held down by 2 torx screws, where your thumb joint will sit when on the hoods. It is the expansion bit for the reservoir. Mine was leaking oil from there and then causing the hood to slide around everywhere. When I pressed the brake lever I could see oil seeping out from there. Spoke to Rose UK saying I was going to lift the hood and try and realign the rubber seal (there is very little room for error, virtually no overlap of the seals). They said that was fine and to keep them informed if it happened again and they would send out a new lever. Hasn’t happened since but haven’t been out much due to the poor weather and it being my “good weather” bike. At lest Rose know for if / when it happens again, due to the tiny seal with little room for error I can see it happening again!
This was my RH lever and at the same time my LH lever was fine, stayed put, very little movement which was what alerted me in the first place, they felt completely different.
    Hope that helps.

As many have said above. Don’t worry too much about smart features, go for the best picture. I got an Amazon fire stick for the tv and it does Netflix, Amazon prime and kodi from a side loaded app. Been really impressed with it, occasionally lags but a quick restart sorts that, can also be used to screen mirror your phone etc as well. Great value for money (got ours for £25 a few months back).

I’ve got some cx77’s coming for my cross bike so I’ll comment on their performance when I’ve fitted them. Started with BB7’s which just seized up and didn’t deliver the power i was expecting. Changed to hope v twins and was really disapointwd with them. Cable routing to the hydro bit made for heavy brake lever feel and they just didn’t have the performance increase for the faff and complicated look. Fingers crossed the cx77’s deliver a decent compromise.

Oh yeah it also allows screen mirroring through it so you can view stuff off your mobile phone.

Just got one of the Amazon fire tv sticks. Netflix, you tube, BBC iplayers, stv, 5od etc. You can load other streaming apps onto it as well if you Google it. Got ours for £19 through prime so it was a great price.

It does seem from this that the smaller companies offer a much more personal proffesional service.

No probs bajsyckel, I’ve made it my life’s mission to make sure I tell everyone of my experience when this question pops up.
we tried to get compensation off them as we were unhappy at the cost, length of time and basically being miss sold in the first place. Their only response was ” but we sold your property”……yeah, that’s the minimum I’d expect from you, it’s how you sold it , the length of time and constant balls ups that I’m not happy with. Totally up their own arse. When you see all the awards they “win” then just remember it is due to 2 things:
1..They have a department set up specifically to enter the competitions.
2..other estate agents dont bother entering due to them not having time because they are trying to sell houses!!

We recently used McEwen Fraser to sell ours. Absolutely rubbish. Had a failed closing date after being reassured at least 2 buyers would bid only to get none!! They had no urgency about them at all, especially when it came to chasing up the buyers solicitors (above) because “they didn’t want to seem keen”. Turned out we were being told lies all along but only found out on the closing date. Mcewan Fraser didn’t give a hoot.
our house eventually (after a year) sold for 230k and we were stung with 8k of selling fees, made more annoying when our eventual buyers saw us in passing and through no “selling expertise” shown by MF. They claim to sell property quickly but when things slow they just lose interest and give the usual drop the price advice which is hardly grounbreaking ideas.
They charge 1.75% of the selling price plus the usual extras and claim this is due to them being better and quicker than everyone else, they aren’t, they are as bad as the rest.
if I was doing it again, and hopefully not for a long time, I’d choose a smaller company or use the do it yourself online method as it saves a lot of cash. The actual solicitor fees are about a grand so the 1.75% charged on top is just pure profit for them.

We got her a box of 20 suprise eggs for her birthday, great idea we thought, except, a) we had to sit through a presentation and b) all the eggs had the same “surprise” in them! Oh look , ANOTHER spinning top and sweeties.

Our wee one watches videos on you tube of some weird woman and sometimes a man now (woman has been recruiting) opening kinder eggs and other prize egg things. Wee one loves it, falls asleep watching it, it drives me mental though, creepy people.

I’ve been looking at the xeon 3100 di2, hydro discs, full ultegra di2, dt swiss wheels, ritchey finishing kit and nicely thought out carbon frame. All that for £2250, nothing from anyone else comes even close. Just need to free up money!! They all seem to get good reviews too.
I have always had that nagging “why are they so cheap” feeling but nothing has been discovered in negative press to tell me not to bother.

I had this recently on a bike I was working on. wd40, leverage, impact hammers etc wouldn’t budge it. Eventually did the cutting into 4 slices lengthways, at first this seemed to achieve nothing but I found that a small screwdriver gently tapped into the gap between post and frame followed by a bigger screwdriver, repeat, repeat, repeat eventually got it to move once the screwdriver reached the seized area. Took 8 hours to do all this and drove me slightly insane.

You can pick up fairly decent uspro tools ones for about £100 new on ebay. Ball bearing drawers and rubber mats to protect the bottom of the drawers. I got one, was £95, arrived with a bash on it but was given £25 back as a sweetener or the option to return it.

I’m getting this in a few weeks. Day before my shift starts (firefighter) so I don’t think I’ll be in for the days at least. Reading the “pleasant” tales above has made me slightly less confident and easy going about the whole thing.

Just went in there today after the laptop (with 3 months remaining on warranty) decided to not switch on, charger inlet light on but pushing the power button does nothing. Anyway, said to them I’d like it repaired under warranty and would prefer the same laptop back as there were documents, iTunes etc in it that I wanted. Was then told it would be £80 to make sure I got all my files back, ridiculous. So even when there is a clear fault in the warranty period they will try and make money off you. What if they don’t go near the memory, ie, just replacing a faulty power button, do you get your £80 back since they won’t have actually done anything with the memory?

    Hi stumpy,
it stayed on high for a good 30-40 mins whilst flashing red so I think it’s the battery level sensor that is at fault. Pain in the bum not having a clue what level of charge I had though!
    Thanks.
