I would rather have the monkey in the state its in now than the horrible Tawn trail I was trying to ride in yesterdays heat.. horrible slabby trail pointlessly heading uphill…
EDIT – there were some guys working after the (downhill) stepped switchback and we had to divert straight down the hill – they said it was only a small diversion though…
Tha photo looks like the 'black run' – it is easily bypassed as you are going quite fast at this point heading into a downhill berm.. (the black run actually comes back onto the trail after the berm – its only 20 yards or so long..
I was going to do the Monkey – well I had planned to do the Monkey till my LBS noticed that my bushes and bearings had worn out on my softail and will not get the replacement bearing pack till wed at earliest – this left me in a quandry as the monkey was to be a prep ride for a welsh w/end next week. I have spent my day stripping out my softail and building up my hardtail with all the new bits and bobs – hardtail for Machx and the tarwyn trail this weekend. Its light tho' 😉
Lichfield Waitrose is full of WAGS on a weekend – The car park is like a Porshe / Ferrari battleground.
Lichfield Tesco is also full of NAGS on a weekend – the car park is like a LADA / Skoda battleground… nuff said.
Have you simply got to put the internet password back in?
(usually called the security key) = I believe this can be done via the network & internet in your control panel
Its been a combination of the god awful weather and today of all days commitments…
I have initiated rides with mates but called them off due to severe road conditions and being told that riding the Chase was quite a challenge as even the fire roads were sheets of ice… Commitment next w/end also is going to hamper ride time – aiming to restart the week after (crosses fingers)
It may be a stupid question.. but did the stunt of bailing out invalidate the car insurance? could it be deemed that the car has been left unattended? what if the car went on to collide with a bus queue?
Cos I am vertically challenged I usually say that I am not overweight but under-tall… I could do with losing at least 3 stone… got every incentive if done as a challenge among like minded – count me in.
There is all types of driving conditions… city driving is probably the hardest due to the cut throat antics of other drivers.. congestion.. blind spots and them f…ing bicycles and mopeds – scooters…. I think the best drivers drive hearses..
Merry Christmas..
I have just put the Turkey in the oven… always have to do it Christmas Eve or the rest of the dinner cannot be cooked… feeding 8 tomorrow…
I thought I was a competent – experienced driver until last winter when I had my first experience of anti lock brakes working overtime while I was going down a hill… I posted that experience on here at the time.. so all in all, there is still a learning curve to be had even tho I have held a full licence since 1980.
It was on the news that the 3d version was making some people 'chuck up' while watching it…
Gonna see it soon in 3d – wait till my dinner has gone down tho'
I think that this current series has been shit… blunt but true.. some great cars featured.. but them bloody antics are starting to get coronation street like… (I start thinking about leaving the room).. this sundays car art was jusy pants… utter pants..
