I have had a week off work – holidays – to help look after my Granddaughter in the event that my 2nd Granddaughter would be born – now 9 days overdue.
Monday & Tuesday – quality time with Daughter & Granddaughter
My 4 yr Old Granddaughter started school on Wednesday (mornings only this week) – so I have looked after her each afternoon.
Weather has been great – plenty of outdoor entertaining – parks & Cannock Chase (Milford for ice creams, Brocton – walks / deer watching with her)

Bakes; I was on my Trance – just changed tyres to some a bit more suitable for the local conditions – We were out and about at 9:30am – I was with my mates one on a Meta 5.5 and one also on a newer version of the Trance

I ride with 2 pals who are years younger than me, One is 22yrs younger and the 17 years younger.
The guy 22 years younger does not have an ounce of fat on him – he also does a fair bit of jogging – he rides a lightish bike and he is whippet fast over all sorts of territory.
The guy who is 17 years younger is of a more portly stature – he rides a mid weight bike and is fast on singletrack but suffers going upwards.
I am too short for my weight – I get out regularly – I ride a mid weight bike and dont seem to suffer going up hill as much as the 17 year younger person, My long term stamina is higher than both the above – however I would rather be the same frame as rider who is 22 years younger – I think the correct term is just get out and ride as often as possible – its not just about body fitness – its about having a healthy mind as well

Well this is interesting.
I have never once thought or heard any of the chaps I ride with state that riding keeps your weight down, what I have heard very often that after a few consequetive rides we notice fitness levels changing and start to feel rather good… we have 168 hrs in a week, even if we rode 2 hrs per day over seven days we would only ride for 8% of the week – so what are we doing the other 92%? probably doing sedentary type work? eating and sleeping…
