I am a Quality Engineer for a Pnuematics Company – we seem to have a finger in every pie imaginable.
I currently oversee the Quality issues that affect our production or in turn effect our Customers productivity. Currently I am the QE for a Brewery Section…simple..and… a Medical Section…not so simple. I am Customer facing also and get to go to interesting companies on a regular basis. I also decide what I am going to do on any given day as we are self motivated – this adds a degree of freedom rarely seen in other departments within the company. Also I converse with people all over the globe. I love my job but think the company I work for could show better appreciation for its willing and very clever workforce.

Just another thing, if debt collectors are banging on your door, then perhaps you best check your credit rating ? often its the house thats blacklisted… just thinking 😕

Trouble is, the Bailiffs probably are working for one debt collection agency appointed by who ever to hunt down the individual debtor.

Could there be other agencys queing up ?
Your National Insurance Number & DOB should be enough to verify who you are and also your wife will need to do the same.
Obviously they will have some kind of details as to who they are looking for – would be a crock of shit if they happened to have the same DOB as you 😉
Find out which firm sent them and have a chat with them but never let them in your house cos if you invite them in and they become reluctant to leave the Police probably wont be of any help.

I would class anyone using an overdraft as being poor at managing money

Personally, an overdraft is nothing to do with being poor at managing money.
I think the worst thing you can do with your money is use 1 bank for everything. ie, mortgage, current a/c, savings a/c

Did you know for instance,

If you fell behind with mortgage payments the bank can take money out of any savings a/c you have with them ?

They cant if you seperate these across 3 different banks.

It seems people here think cos you go overdrawn at the bank you are 'poor' ?
If you have a need for an overdraft to be set up the bank would have to have confidence that you can pay said overdraft when and if they were to demand the overdraft be repaid.
You usually need to have your earnings paid into your account on a regular basis.
An overdraft used to be a bonus when we used to write lots of cheques – as people used to do when they were short of cash, and knew the cheque would have 'bounced' without the safety net of the overdraft, but its different these days as cheques are a last resort to most folk.

If I went £1000 overdrawn I would pay £1 for each day overdrawn = 0.001% interest.

Ok, the 'fine for going £1000 over drawn per day = 1/1000 of the total per day,
so in theory you could 'borrow' £2499 for a calendar month and it would only cost you a maximum of £31, which seems a pretty good deal for a short term loan ?

and in theory if I go 10p, the fine is 10 times the total.
My 10p however would also cost me £31 wich is a bit expensive.

I think if you dial 2580 and play then play the tune, hold the phone to the speaker for a few seconds,ring off you will then get a txt back with all the details. I am not sure if it works with all networks but vodaphone does it I believe.

I took volountary redundancy 17yrs ago, I had been with the company 16yrs and had begun to hate my job.
I had just moved in to my brand new detached house, I had a young daughter and my wife only worked part time.
It took less time to find the job I am now in than what I had to wait prior to signing on, (I never actually signed on although I had registered myself as unemployed), I am still in the same company and have and have never looked back.

I am pretty sure that the agency 'collects' candidates that they have screened and feel have the qualities that their client is looking for. This can be over a period of days or more so sometimes you feel they do not want you.

I would follow your enquiry up with the agency to ensure that they know about you as I have done this myself in the past, its always a good way of letting the agency know what you are looking for, after I did this I was sent lots of suitable career opportunities that were on their books.

Just a small thing,

mega earners already pay more tax then normal earners do proportionally,

What I can say, is that Churchill sent me a copy of the transaction of the email conversation to my normal email address ! the same address they would not let me use when trying to save my quote !
I really find it strange, its a first for me, I've only ever used one email address for everything.

lets be fair tho, i can see your frustration but how much hassle is it just to make an email address on gmail per say if you really want to be with churchill? its a 2minute job.
