Went back to grizedale today to try another couple of bikes after taking a kenevo and a stumpy 29er out on Saturday, tried a levo and a stumpy 650b the levo was brilliant my favourite of the weekend and i was faster than on the kenevo.
I’m going back up to grizedale tomorrow to demo a couple more at the specialized trail days event.really enjoyed the couple of times I’ve ridden them and am looking forward to taking a couple more out tomorrow to see if the novelty wears off😀
Yeti 575 from about 8 years ago great bike always felt special riding it.people would stop me just to look at it.wish I could afford another yeti now but sadly out of my league.
I’ve got a nearly new set of mavic cross Max’s for sale that might do if your anywhere near Stockton.they have adapters for bolt thru and q/r and tyres really nice wheels just a bit skinny for me.
Got a set of boost 2018 pikes for under £400 and and a arc 30 boost front wheel for £50 there was some great buys.tempted by a 2017 Tallboy frame for under a grand but decided to stick with 650b because I’m a shortarse.
Definitely going to do frazers looks fun on the pics I’ve seen then probably carry on doing the black as I would in the daytime then. Thanks for the replies
Was there a couple of weeks ago it’s great but allow yourself a full day to do everything. It’s split over a couple of sites and the bus tours take up a lot of time.really enjoyed seeing space shuttle Atlantis. Well worth a trip.
A mates four failed recently cracked weld in the swing arm they sorted him out so all good.also heard of other failures recently.not a deal breaker as these things happen and he still loves his four.
Was thinking of an orange,I’ve had a couple of fives and the stage four looks interesting but there seems to be more failing recently than a few years ago so that’s putting me off.
Go outdoors sell the rsp plummet so if you have one of there discount cards you can price match against tredz who are selling it for £85 and they’ll give you another 10%off so you’ll pay about £77
There’s definitely an element of wanting a new bike rather than needing one I’ve had this one for 2 years and fancy a change. Might try and borrow a dropper though and see how that feels. Thanks for all the advice everyone lots of things to think about
Climbing is definitely a factor don’t want the climbs to be a slog and not enjoy them. Never thought of the nomad always thought it was way too much bike for me but I’ll check them out.
Think the nomad would be too much bike for what I need don’t really fancy anything more than 150 mm travel. leaning toward the trek mainly because it seems better value for money I’d get a whole bike with a dropper post (which I don’t have now) for not much more than the Bronson frame only.
Love the 5010 it’s a great bike just fancy trying to push myself next year and try some harder more tech trails and maybe the odd jump or drop off. Borrowed a mates zesty and the extra travel felt good I could probably do everything I wanted to do on the 5010 but think the extra travel might give me a bit more confidence on the rougher stuff
I’ve been looking at the Saxon cross for adventure cross events and winter commutes hydraulic discs and 1 x 11 gears bikescene have the 2016 model down from £1500 to £1000
