I was up at glentress for specialized trail days recently and went to the cafe at the trail centre and the food was excellent.had the ultimate veggie chili bowl really tasty and a nice size portion.

On sundays at fort bill I usually get gondola to the top grab some food in the cafe at the top then walk down the hill slowly stopping every now and then.have a last look around the pits then stand near the grandstand so I have a view of the last descent and the big screens.

Cheers scotroutes just re-read your post.a new xt microspline hub is under £80 so think I’ll get a wheel made up using that until hope bring one out.

How good/bad are the new xt hubs likely to be?.will they be usable for an average rider or are they a total no no. Mainly bothered about reliability will they need constant care or are they fit and forget.seem fairly good price so might build a wheel using xt hub until more options become available.

No this isn’t unusual for them at the minute.see the rock shox Yari psa from a couple of weeks ago where most people ordered 29er forks and received 650b instead.contacted them about the pair I ordered and there response was to offer me a gift voucher if I kept them, the forks don’t fit what good is a gift voucher

They sound like normal alloy cranks if you tap them.

Do these cranks have carbon arms? Some descriptions say they do but mine arrived today and are scratched on the nds arm and it’s silver underneath.

Bikescene have last years fsr comp carbon levo for £3800 down from £5000.it’s a fantastic bike great spec and specialized aftercare for e-bikes is great.

I’m just under 5’7″ and have just bought a 54 and it’s great.got the e5 comp from evans for £980 down from £1500 and got it on 0% too.I had a 52cm specialized secteur a couple of years ago which felt a touch small.i thought the 54 might be more stable if I take it off-road because of the longer wheelbase.

There’s a carbon scott 29er on evans for a bit over £1100 and they’ll give you another 100 quid off if you trade in any old bike even a kids bike.

The bossnut evo is available in a 15.5 inch small as well as the medium might be worth a try.

Edit.didnt read that you thought the medium was too short.ive a medium santa cruz and the medium evo feels similar if not a bit longer.my mates 5’10 and loves his medium bossnut.ask your local go outdoors if you can try it with a seat post with a bit of layback off another one of there bikes most of the bikes they sell are 30.9 seat post so something will fit this may make it feel more roomy.

I’m demoing the levo again on Thursday I’ve ridden one at my local trails in guisborough and  at grizedale and I’m hooked.really good fun I’m 48 now and the improved fitness I’ve been hoping for is probably never gonna happen but on the levo I can ride longer and harder than on my normal bike and still feel less tired.

Is there a way of avoiding the pointless fireroad of pointlessness ? It just seems like extra miles added in for no good reason.
